This is pretty fun for a prototype! Interesting game mechanic and cute graphics. The window sizing in itch.io cuts off some of the instructions. It would be nice if the knight gave some indication when he is about to move.

Hey, I really like the art style, even if I found the game quite hard. (I think that's just me having no rythm :') It's a fun game and worth playing several times, each time getting more addictive as you do. I love the sound effects and think they really add to the game also. My only tiny critique is that the 'try again' box is a little too small to read, but that doesn't effect game play. Just some constuctive feedback for you. Overall a fab little game <3

Really fun game! only problem is the knight moving into the fireballs

This is a very cool concept! The mechanics are fun, I really liked the concept and the assets work along very nicely.

A small suggestion: I think it would be good to have the spells follow you when they trigger exactly as you are moving (maybe during a small threshold of time). This would have a very positive and rewarding feel, an "almost hit" that became a win.

Cool entry overall!

I like this game very much. An interesting idea. A knight behaves slightly unpredictably. But the game is still very interesting.

I really liked the approach that you took with the art. I told myself before the Compo that I was going to do something similar, and then went for 3D game instead. I liked the holding the spell. I did kill my knight a few times. I'm not sure if I'm just a terrible support or if I wasn't paying attention to him telegraphing his moves. Nice work!

Great game with nice graphics.

Hey, really nice idea and art. The difficulty felt very hard to me as I barely lasted a minute. Consider adding other controls than W+S, a lot of people around the world use non-qwerty keyboards (on mine W is lower than S and it makes controls really really wonky for this game).

This was a very cool little game. The premise of the game is quite nice. Once you are in the tune with the rhytm of the game it starts becoming really fun. Took me a few minutes to get the hang of it but when I got there I didn't want to stop playing it. There is one major flaw though, I feel like. The knight is unpredictable. My last game I lost because he ran into two consecutive fireballs of mine. That's the only major thing though. I think a few nice touches would have been something like a highscore I could use to impress my friends or make the ladies go crazy for me. A few more spells would also have been nice to spice things up. Definetly let me know if you continue working on this game.

Thanks for the feedback all, If I continue I will defo add an indicator where the knight is going. Also I didnt think about the non qwerty keyboard thing, so I will make arrow keys available aswell in the future, thanks @spawnie

@nonsans cheers, yeah I wanted to add a wave score or a 'deck' of spells that you added to each round. Just ran out of time. if I expand on this thats what I would add in.

The game looks and sounds nice. The idea is original and the gameplay is fun. The knight's moves should be more predictable: sometimes he moved into my fireballs for no reason. That's pretty annoying. The game should also get harder: right now it's the same difficulty for the whole thing. Good job.

Such a great idea ! I love the feeling of the gameplay, and how the knight just move out before you try to heal him (or jump on the way of your fireball x) I would love to see this kind og gameplay in a complete game !
