Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

Guys, you need to update the links to show that players can download Mac/Windows/Linux versions. The way you have it right now it looks like you can only view the source code AND the game you have done is INCREDIBLE. People need to see it and play it. You deserve a lot more ratings!
I have been playing it for a while now. At the very moment I started watching the intro, I was not only into it but I was amazed at how you guys accomplished making it look like a game I could've bought from Steam. The mood, the voice acting, the text, the story. YES.
Then, the mechanics. They work really well. After a couple of quick interactions I understood how to skill system worked. It is true that the UI could've helped me a tiny bit more, but it was not an issue cause I was so much into it I wanted to understand it to make it work, and it did work.
I loved having the more "peaceful" or resting moments where I could strategise - although had to think fast cause the next wave was not waiting for me - and then the tense ones. I have truly enjoyed this, probably the most of all games.
My favourite entry. 5 Stars for sure.
Thank for this experience. Please, make more out of it, and please let me play it!

Best game I've played so far. Despite it being so short I'm roped into the narrative you have going here. I want to know why that face is there and why that guy got evaporated. The music is very good at setting the tense mystical tone and the art is very complimentary to that as well. Only pointers i would give is that the weaponry doesn't feel too great it doesn't have that visual and audio feedback that makes a weapon satisfying nor do impacts feel to great as the enemies fade to dust quite quietly. other than that great work and would love to know if you make any continuation.
Wow this is really great! Got gameplay, artwork, sound and atmosphere! Also good to see someone else use the Löve engine. Wondering what did you use for the UI and/or text rendering?

Oh god... err... what to say, where to start xD I got the feeling it's not your first game, nor first game jam isn't it ? :p Excellently done, perfect graphics, voice acting, cute-scenes, sci-fi mood... damn...
So much good things so I'll go in grumpy mode to make some (funny) criticisms : \* _using grumpy grandpa voice_ \* - Wave shooter ? really ? Why not another Snake clone while you're at it ! - What are those icons in the lab research ? Icons for ANTs !!?? - Voice acting blah blah blah, "oh look at me, I'm so awesome I can have voice acting in my game" blah blah... \* _end of grumpy grand pa_ \*
Even like this I can't make real criticism xD Maybe that it's too short ? I'm a bit jealous though, hope some day I'll could have a full team to work on my games too...
(and no I won't say that pro game makers (or near that) in game jams are cheaters... 'cause Game jams are for everyone... And we wan't to play great games)
Nice job, people... nice job...
I was really surprised how polished this game felt. The voice acting and the graphics were all really superb and really played to the whole feeling of the game. The skill tree was intuitive and the overall feeling was like a game downloaded from steam.
Always happy to play the games you guys manage to make. The graphics are insanely good again, it really pulls you in. Gameplay wise, there is much more replayability than a Ludum Dare game could ever need. The voice acting and audio in general is really sweet, but that is to be expected from you guys. Would love you guys to polish this gem a bit more, maybe even expand it into a full thing. Maybe? We'll see! For now, amazing job and all the best to the team!
Quite amazing game :D The music, sounds and especially the voice acting is really amazing :)

Best game I've played this jam so far! Loved everything about this game except maybe the sound effects and the music (but that's just my opinion). The voice for Reactor was so cool!! Also the game crashed when Reactor died :/ Crazy to think that all this was made in 72 hours!

Seriously.... this is amazing D: First of all, I am in love with the soundtrack... I secretly look forward to listening to the music that people use in the game while making game jams... not many take the care to make something unique, or to set a mood to the game. The voice acting it amazing! The graphics looks so slick, and the mechanics just feel super polished. All I can say is: Great job guys! You nailed it!

Great game! I like a lot the sound effects that accompanied the game well. A Hollywood twist that the insecure private becomes the savior. The graphics are impressive within a JAM. Keep it up :)
gg loved ur game i was fun

Very full game, lots of detail and it looks and sounds great! Thanks for making it :)
Wow this game is INTENSE. The graphics are awesome. The atmosphere really reminds me of SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies). The voice acting is awesome. Such high production values for a game jam game. With a bit more work I think you honestly have the start of something good here! This is one of three games so far that I've given fives across the board.

Damn, that was actually really good. Mood, graphics, sounds, voice acting. Pretty awesome

This is great! I really wish you could move while shooting (that was pretty unintuitive and led to a few deaths) but apart from that I only have nice things to say. The story is intriguing, the mood is spot-on, and the voice acting and particularly the voice effects are really high-quality! Well done!

Definitely my favourite game in the jam so far, absolutely incredible work!
The controls are the best kind of weird: Not conventional, but super fun, intuitive, and enjoyable once you get the hang of them, awesome work! :D

Waaaa i had a lot of fun playing your game, it's seems to have such a great qualtiy for a game made for a jam. Good job for all of you, the graphics are really good ! The details like the water reflection and everything contribute so much to immersion. The music creates the perfect atmosphere and all the sound design is stunning ! Specially the voice over ! Awesome ! (Poor Patty at the beginning though ) The only thing i can point out is the difficulty, i finished it without real challeng but that's maybe i've taken the time to build at each round and destroy thme with the number of turrets i built, or the sniper riffle is op :smirk:. Anyway thanks for your entry and keep up creating games it's a pleasure to play them !
@solweak Thanks a lot for the kind feedback! We tried to make the game not too difficult because we want people to experience the game in full. We plan on making a post jam version with some of the stuff that didn’t make it in, if we find the time!

Holy crap fully voice acted, and the voice acting is actually good? The graphics and the sound were both excellent especially for a jam game.
I think the 'tutorial' could have been a bit longer, because as it stands it just sort of ends abruptly and expects you to figure out that you can keep building things and you gotta' remember, people like me are stupid and forget things like that. Tool tips for suggested actions that appear after a certain amount of time if the character hasn't done them might be useful.
I encountered a bug where I guess one of the AI died, and after we killed the last enemy the game didn't realize they were all dead so it just sat there. I started walking to the south which seems to go for infinity (I'd probably add an instadeath out there) before giving up. It would be neat if you could control the AI and upgrade them as well. Ooh, and instead of tool tips you could have the AI make suggestions.
I admire how complex is your game, and how polished it is. A superb work for a jam.

Wow! the game was so intriguing that left me wanting more! super polished and complete game! Everything was amazing - Art, Music, Sound effects, Voice actors, the game-play felt super smooth. The only one thing about the game I didn't like was not been able to move when firing. Overall, one of the best for sure!

The artstyle is top! Love all the effects and character designs! Very promising game and gor mobile it could be a hit as well!
Graphics and sound - great! But it's a very simple idea. With such a team, you want something more interesting).

This is just awesome! Everything about this game is just really polished and on a high level. I especially like the artstyle, it's very atmospheric and well executed. The gameplay is also really fun, I like the switching between the upgrading and fighting phase and could very well imagine this being developed into a great co-op experience. Audio is also top notch and the fact that you put some pretty good voice acting in there is just the icing on this delicious cake. The only thing that is lacking a bit is the story, but the overall mood makes up for this. Great job overall!

Really like the game, especially the graphics
This game was really amazing. It felt so polished despite being completed in 72 hours. This was definitely the best game that I have seen on here yet. Keep up the great work!
Wow, nicely done all around. Seems like your team was well-managed and in sync. Voice acting was a pleasant surprise!

This game is nuts! Love it! Wish there was a skip button for the intro and tutorial though. Game crashed for me and then I had to wait before I could play again ^^
@vrerabek Sorry that it is not more clear, there is a skip intro button. If you press X while in the menu you will toggle the into to be on/off. Thank you for the feedback!

Cool game. I liked having to defend the buildings that were tied to research and radar, reminded me of RTS games. It felt a little weird that I couldn't shoot unless I was pointing at an enemy.
Wow amazing effort! Really cool package of gameplay art and audio. The art was great 👌 and voice acting too! The intro really set the tone too. And the upgrade system felt cool! almost a shame I didnt get to see all of it because I finished! That's a good problem to have I suppose ;p The designs of the characters were really cool also! Excellent entry and well done to the whole team
I didn't think it was possible to make something like this in 3 days. This is incredible - from the graphics to the music, from the gameplay to the overall mood. It's amazing how you balanced storytelling and gameplay, both are superb and beautifully intertwined. An outstanding game - congratulations to all of you!
(I'm also impressed by the capabilities of Löve, looks like I still have a lot to learn ahah)

Very nice entry, good job. Voice acting was not the strongest in places, but everything else is solid and played nicely. Can be an interesting game if expanded.

So good- great story, tight gameplay, gorgeous graphics, and soundtrack! So much depth! I used the SMG class and never switched. I love the eyes in the water!! Löve2D?! Lua for the win! Thank you for the spooky game!
Electro charge activated!~ real nice, gg. Art looks great, game feels nice to play. the only problem is that the enemies give no feedback when hit. pls for a release add particles and have them flash white for a sec, that stuff. Other than that, super nice!~

Awesome game! Very cool that you are recorded voice. Gameplay is very nice, but game is too short for me :) Will be nice if it will have infinity battle mode.

At first I couldn't get the app to open even thought I had love installed on my Mac. But by granting permissions with chmod and executing the game from terminal it finally ran :)
As previous comments have mostly stated, the game itself is an amazing effort for 72h. The voice at the beginning sounded almost too professional (I wonder if you guys have had previous experience on the area?). The setting and story somehow reminded me of Death Stranding. The shallow surface of the liquid you move in along with ripples and reflections looked create, and the art overall was very consistent. The moody music blended well with the gameplay too.
There are only about 2 nitpicks that I have, both so minor, maybe even preferential that idk if they really are even worth mentioning. Though the movement really felt like you were running in water; you know, it slows you down, I think that for an action game, it felt a bit sluggish. I believe Death Stranding was also criticised for same kind stuff tho xd. The other thing I want to point out is **extremely** minor: when hovering over the different workbenches, they had a visual indicator (outline), but in the upgrade menus itself, it was a bit difficult to decipher what I could click and what I could not. Again, a small nitpick. Lastly, in the movement tutorial where it told to move with WASD, but you could only move down, it got me a bit worried that my keyboard didn't work properly or smth. But thankfully, it only lasted for a second or two.
I didn't get to try all of the weapons (or even finish the game actually), but the one that I tried felt really satisfying to use, with its sound effects and visuals. I felt like the game had a quite a lot of content, with the waves of enemies, guns, upgrades, voice acting, AI companions etc. which is quite an astonishing achievement for a jam game. I feel like not much would be required for a basic Steam release; I have seen much less ambitious games making their way there nowadays. Food for thought.
Great job guys & girls!
Well, that's a winner. Excellent work.
Only minor gripes: balance could use a tiny bit of work, UI is a bit difficult to understand at first, voice acting is occasionally not amazing, and some gun types appear to be much better than others, but... still very good. Well done.
Really amazing polish on everything! Art is great, music and sound are great! Really impressive amount of systems and mechanics.
Great job!
This is an amazing entry. Great execution, great writing, amazing mood and visuals, gah! wonderful work! Great acting too! :D I love it!
Really nice atmosphere created by the music, voice acting and artwork. I don't understand the choice to stop player movement when shooting, this greatly increased the difficulty, but may of been the intention. Overall enjoyable and very polished entry.

Well, that's got to be the most polished LD game I've ever seen... Were I being picky, I'd say something about the hot, or that the "Use WASD to move" message only lets you press S, which left me briefly wondering if my keyboard wasn't working properly. But I'm not being picky - and I loved the voice-acting, the story, the SHODAN-style voice effects, the breadth of weapon choices, and the whole half-tower-defence half-twin-stick-shooter design of the thing. Well done!

Very, very strong entry overall.
It's a lot of stuff done in a rather short time, and my only regret is not to be able to explore the whole tech tree during a few rounds that you need to charge the reactor. Greatly done on the voice over side, cool intro scene, gets you into the mood instantly.
By the way, what actually happened to the captain? And why did they need the reactor in the first place?

Sorry for the ping! But something happened and we where opted out of the audio category, it is fixed now but I just wanted to let you know for 2 reasons; first so that you have a chance to rate us on the audio, but also so that you know that we did make all sfx, music and voice acting. We are about 8 votes lower so I picked the 5 last comments.
Thank you for playing and thank you for your nice comments!
Very nice one! I enjoyed playing it and won! Graphics are great, sounds are too. Gameplay holds up and there is definitely enough variety of buildings and guns. great job overall!
I noticed a strange bug - whenever i interacted with the repair station, I also shot my gun. This wasn't happening with Research bench and other stuff, only with Repair Station. Also, voicovers were sometimes out of synch with their respective subtitles. Not much, but still. I'm not sure if that was a fault of some game lag in the intro or just bad synchronisation.

Great game! Really enjoyed playing. Dark mood with great music, sound design and art. You put such variety in the buildings, and even added voice acting, it's a really impressive and polished work. One of my favorites!

Wow, this game has wonderful mood! It crashed twice in mid of the game sadly. But graphics and musics were great and this featured even story and voice acting! :o
Gameplay was also good, would have played it through if not for the crashes. If this becomes a "full game" I'd definitely want to play it.
Very polished game overall :sunglasses:
Congrats on another really full and impressive entry! Even though I know to expect great things, you guys still always leave me impressed. Thanks for the pleasure of playing it on stream <3

@tomssuli Do you remember what the crashes were? Although it's a little close to the deadline to fix for the LD version, we are thinking of working on a post-Jam version and any crash reports would be helpful!
Thanks for pushing through it and giving it another chance even though it crashed. :D

@xand The first crash it just went out without any message. Second time I got the error screen but unfortunately I don't remember anymore what is said.
Now that the jam has ended we released a major update, it includes features that never made it in due to time constraints and a lot of the suggestions and feedback from all of the great comments that we got.
