Very cool game. If this game had some space ambient noises and sound effects, and had more particles(like rocket fire from back of it), and you can make background darker, because it's looks like some white space :D
This game has few bugs: 1. When I release my greens, I have -5 left, I think I needed to have 0 greens. 2. When I upgraded my greens rate my greens tank reseted to 1 :(
But overall this game is very very cool :D
P.S. if you wan't some feedback, give feedback to the other and you "Smart" balance rises up.

I'm not sure that everything is OK ... Is Earth producing Greens too ? And as soon as I upgraded my ship, everything went crazy (negative fuel tank, max green capacity = 1 ...)

Looks promising! You can use an artstyle that will work for you if you don't have an artist. As of now it makes the game less appealing for players who are trying it or wants to try it. But keep it up, the upgrades seems to have a lot of thought put in. Love the concept.

@aret24 Thanks for testing the game and all your suggestions, I appreciate that a lot ! The game wasn't properly tested, so I am really sorry for the bugs you encountered. I have uploaded a new version with fixes for those bugs!
@kaijiro Thanks a lot for testing the game and addressing the problems you encountered ! I didn't spend much time playtesting the game so I am sorry for the bugs. I uploaded a new version with bugfixes so you can consider redownloading the game and test it again :) And yes, within my world setting, every planet (including Earth) regenerates Greens (at a rate related to its current Greens amount). The idea is basically something along the line of "the living beings on the planet is making effort to improve their planet's Greens, and it gets faster as the Greens' value gets higher".
@keybol Thanks for testing the game ! I am pretty bad at art as you can tell, hence the bad presentation  but thanks for the suggestion and comment !

@robin49 Thanks for taking your time to play the game ! There are supposedly to be some narrative for the game but it wasn't added into the game, so it is super duper subtle at its current state :)
Hi @stanlkm ! Great first entry! It gives me a bit of a Star Control Vibe :) Maybe to build on @kaijiro 's observations, Earth probably shouldn't produce Greens if you want a game with a bit more urgency (it also fits your intro and concept). Earth should probably be stripping Greens and maybe that even accelerates over time and can be countered with tech investments. I think the above alone would probably make it feel more like a game! Couple of other questions: Is there anything beyond transferring greens or what would you plan if you had more development time? Currently, is there a reason to have HP? (I didn't see anything that would damage me)
In general, I quite liked it and like i said maybe it's the planets and top down but I get a star control vibe hehe (Nostalgia!).

@picusbgames Wow, thanks for the long comment ! First, thanks for your suggestion for introducing urgency into the game, it makes a lot of sense, I didn't think of it while making this.
Next, this jam game is sort of designed to be an exploration and narrative game about "save lifes with Green energy". You can actually transfer Greens to planets other than Earth to speed up its Greens regeneration rate(if it is not dead) or revive the planet (if it is dead). Some planets that respond to the "Search" ping are supposed to be dangerous, and will shoot at you when approaching them, and HP is meant for that, to let you survive the sudden attack. Think of it as the planet is luring victim to the planet to harvest its resources. (However, it is not added in time as I decided to slack off and enjoy the jam process :stuck_out_tongue: ) It's really primarily about "life", "sacrificing to save life" (because the main objective is supposed to be recovering Earth's Greens, but player can choose not to), something along that line, I didn't think much beyond that, and then actual development started :D
I have never heard of Star Control, will look into it to check out what you mean, and thanks again for the great comment !
@stanlkm Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it. TBH my first jam too and loved building and now the playing and discussion is neat too :) I definitely understand not sure how I missed the planets shooting or maybe I just got lucky haha :) Ohhh, star control 2 is a classic! Humble's bundle just ended that had all of them :( (at the top tier mind you).

Quick reminder to get more players: Use a thumbnail for your game. Otherwise your game is presented with this grey box. Some great Games are not played because of a missing thumbnail ... You can still change it by editing your submission page :)

Really interesting start. Curious to see where you will take it. Thanks for bringing it by the stream!

@erebus Thank you for the feedback too, it does make me think deeper into it !
I think you have a good start here. There's a mechanic but not quite a game. Perhaps with some threat to the ship while you're extracting greens, I think this could be interesting. Maybe planets become hostile after you've extracted from them? I liked the parallax effect in space and appreciated the deceleration on the ship. Thanks for the game!
the maximum harvest rate is too low
