It's a release page. The exe is in Abyss.zip.
I had no problem downloading and playing from the github releases page. I'm a huge fan of 4X games and this reminded of me a lot so I naturally liked it!
It's seems nice, even tho there is not a real end. I would change the exit number, i always had to move my right hand from the arrow keys!
One of my bests LD38 games so far. I was able to colonize entire sectors 1 and 2 and install two ultimate extractors. This game is very addictive to a specific public, I think you MUST continue the project. Contact me if you want a partner to develop and publish a full game inspired in this prototype. (suami.abdalla@gmail.com) Best Regards.
This is cool, I think you're close to a good game. It's fun just flying around gathering stuff and upgrading. If there were encounters, artifacts and stuff like that find, etc. you could have a really cool game.
Turns out making numbers get bigger is surprisingly satisfying!
I liked it, left it for a while and managed to get a tonne of credits :P Only issues I had was the colonising got more expensive the more planets which didn't make too much sense other than making the game take longer. Hitting 0 twice made you get to the quit menu which was annoying as I got to that menu a lot by accidentally spamming 0 ): thankfully 0 isn't quit, haha
I like the idea that moving gets you something rather than taking it away. Sometimes I would just tap left and right to get credits. Then I found I could just keep pressing up and get credits at the boundary. Still as with every clicker it was more fun to upgrade my colonies and watch the money pour in. I think its a neat idea to add exploration to the clicker formula.
This only 'clicked' for me once I read the discription (get it? get it?)
I only wish that you didn't have to press '0' to exit a shop or planet... why not also enable the WASD keys in that situation? It would help a *lot* to make the experience smoother, which is important for a clicker!
Also sound. Just one or two dinky SFX's would really help here, it wouldn't even need music! But I guess 'no one can hear you click... in space' :yum:
Interesting variation to the clicker game genre. It was unclear to me what exploration offers. This can be turned into a full-fledged game, I highly suggest you keep upgrading it!
