Really liking this one so far!!
Made it to level 6, still don't know how the game works... :/
The concept is great, graphics are cool, but the levels should go increasingly harder without losing the player.
The game mechanic are confusing
anyway great job i love lua ;)
Interesting game - I didn't manage to figure much out. not sure asking players to do a modulo as a mechanic is very fun except in a math blaster sort of way. Regardless, nice job!
Really interesting puzzle game. At first I was like.. wah? Then I was all like.. oh? Finally.. oh neat! Well done!
Cool concept, but could have used some better explaining/tutorial. Nice job.
I got lost on level 4. I got both triangles into squares and they both went up but I didn't win?
If you like to count squares, this game is for you ;)
Initially confused, but once I got it... I was still kinda confused :p I'm not sure how you could make it easier to play without losing the novelty of the puzzle but I still found it enjoyable.
tutorial was really too long and unclear, but the game was quite good
The game is very good. It took me some time to understand the mechanics, so a tutorial level would be great, maybe some music, better level difficulty curve and you have an amazing game.
Really clever puzzle design, but it's frustrating to go back and set everything up again after it fails. Extending the interface so that I can rearrange the shapes I placed last time rather than start from scratch would make experimenting with setups a lot more pleasant. I wonder if there is some visual cue which could be used to make the direction based on modulo-4 more comprehensible to the player. A good tutorial would also go a long way!
A really good puzzler! Very tough puzzles, but the kind that I can just figure out if I really want to put my thought into it. It looks clean too, I could imagine seeing this bundled in some windows 3.1 puzzle game collection :D
Only bad thing about is the tutorial/introduction part. It might be a bit hard to understand for some people.
@Sixteen you need to use all available figures, including the lines. I meant to add messages to tell people why they didn't pass a level but forgot.
Lacks audio. The puzzle is fun, but it took me some time to figure out how it worked, a proper tutorial would be nice. Too bad I can't give you a score for the graphics, because even though simple, they are actually really nice.
I think you've got some really interesting ideas, and I like the game. I would suggest dropping the whole "modulo 4" thing though, it's more confusing than it needs to be. Why not just cycle through four shapes? Or use colours?
Very innovative puzzle game, but the lack of color, sound, and an easier to understand tutorial dragged down the overall score. I would look forward to what it could be in the future, great start!
I got stuck as well at level four until I scrolled down and read the comments. You may want to add a note in the description text above that you need to use all included shapes.
Other than that, an interesting puzzle, though a bit difficult to get one's head around at first. I'm trying to think of some other indicator in the level that doesn't require adding up all the edges just for speed. Perhaps color coding the pieces as well (each color is a direction) will help players quickly see what's going to happen when the level starts running.
Also got stuck on level 4. I didn't realize that you had to use all the shapes. Definitely needs some kind of indicator to tell you the total number of shapes that you have left to place. The scrolling interface isn't really intuitive, I would have preferred some kind of drag-and-drop interface instead. Also, I agree with other comments that some kind of visual indicator would have been useful to see which way a shape is going to go. It's hard to tell the difference between penta- hexa- septa- and bigger n-gons.
That said, the puzzles were still pretty interesting. Not too bad for 24 hours.
The rules are really hard to understand
The idea is great, but make a better introduction.
Wow such innovative puzzle! Very confusing at first but then I started to understand it! Very hard too xp I guess some colors would help to visualize the modulo 4 value...
Completed some levels, I'll try to beat all of them later!
Anyways great work!
Confussing but good :)
