I found the game fun, however it was very slow at the beginning and the controls window disappeared fast, but once the astroid spawns became faster it was so much more fun!
If you don't mind, could you take a look at my game? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/leaf-me-alone
Cool little game. It was fun to try and swerve out of the way of oncoming asteroids. The sound effects were charming (did you produce one of them with your mouth? and another sounds like tapping?) Bravo if that's the case! I did find colliding with the asteroids to be frustrating occasionally (you could collide against the same one by just scraping past it). You could resolve that issue by having the asteroid you collide with bounce off in the opposite direction to you upon impact.

@rob-white Yep all sounds (also background music) is made with weird sounds out of my own mouth lol. Also thanks for suggesting a possible fix idea for the collision. I really had problems with using concrete mathematics in my code, so it actually just behaves like unity physics engine wants to.. Hope I get that sorted out next game!

1212 score... I couldn't find many pickups :( Nice idea, I would only have added some shooting :) Anyhow, may I suggest you this tutorial for next ludum dare? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SNR5Ubarto It's about making a seamless texture. It would have worked excellently with your background!

Good controls and fun game!
On my first playtrough I found no +5pointers but I made 2 mates, I sat between them and chilled until I eventually got hit and flew way out into the unobservable space. (Lasted 07:29 with 898 points)
My second attemt I found 1 +5pointer and +1 health pack, I went looking for more but things got crazy and I eventually died (Lasted 03:26 with 1442 points)
On my third and last attemt I hit the jackpot and found 3 +5pointers and 1 health pack, so I immediately left to find my 2 mates and lived a long and rich life in their protection (Lasted 07:12 with 7344 points)
I liked the "randomness" of pick-ups and asteroids but also that the planets were fixed, so i could better navigate around.
Cool entry and good job!

Nice relaxing game. :)
The gameplay was interesting, although I did not encounter any pick-ups myself, I like the idea. I feel like in it's current state the gameplay was a bit slow, perhaps increasing the spawn time for both pick-ups and meteorites would help with this. Another idea I got while playing was; "What if the meteorites followed you?".
I saw someone else already posted a tutorial on seamless tiles, other than that the graphics were good. :)
The sound effects were fun, and I loved the execution on these.
This was a pleasant experience, and made for a great first LD entry. :D
Good luck in your future endeavours!
I really enjoyed the audio. Its just fun playing a game where voice is used as an sfx generator :). I do agree with @r33an1 the meteorites following you would add a whole new level to the gameplay. I also really enjoy parallax starfields which would bring up the ambiance a level. Great job with picking up Unity so quickly :)
Nice work learning Unity so quickly! The game started off pretty slowly for the first 2-3 minutes - I never found any spacepoints and there weren't many asteroids. It was fun once it picked up though!
Nice relaxing space game :D Really liked the idea! Keep up the good work :D

To slow from start but it's entertaining on the end. Also idk how but I really enjoyed sound effects and the game overall. Good job, keep going to study new stuff and you wil make it.
As others have said its slow to start, but once it gets going it gets pretty fun. The controls are good considering the setting (a friction-less vacuum) The static planets are cool too, creating a more tangible place, improving on the classic asteroids formula
Highscore: 1267
The asteroids are a bit hard to since since they are dark grey on a black background. Perhaps I'm just getting old, but I had to squint a bit to see what was going on once the asteroid count started climbing.
You mention this was your fist Unity game. [My game][https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/be-popular) was also a first on new tools, so I feel your pain bro/siz. Doing LD on new tools can be a learning adventure in it's own right. Use this as a reference point for your future Unity-based games.
The contrast with foreground and background objects was a little low making it somewhat hard to tell where things were. Also, I was flying around for 3 minutes and only found 2 objects in the world which felt a little low.
