Looks like your link is broken.

saadsirius 2020-04-20 23:38

Absolutely amazing art,im wondering how were you able to make your art and complete the game within time?.

decadedecaf 2020-04-20 23:43

Game looks cool, @ me when the link works.

throf 2020-04-20 23:52

peringo 2020-04-20 23:55

@billnotic @vidim888 @DecadeDecaf @Throf

Link should be working, another one should be up in a couple of minutes if the site can handle it again.

I love this game! The "Papers Please" aesthetic is super appealing, and you both did a wonderful job on the game. Excellent job!

bernard-bumblebutt 2020-04-21 01:00

Like the look.

dutssz 2020-04-21 01:26

I can't download the zip file for some reason

rionisse 2020-04-21 02:55

I really like this style. This game looks so solid.

daimilodev 2020-04-21 11:50

wow, really good idea, i like the soundtrack, very simple but really fun!

rikitaner 2020-04-21 12:27

I like this a lot. The concept is great and the visuals and audio fit well with the theme. I had a lot of fun playing it and will most likely come back to it in the future!

marxy-37 2020-04-21 14:05

I feel like the events that show up on the map need do gime more feedback of what bar they increase/decrease.

Overall very neat idea and fun game. (Especially good mood) Good Job!!!

abk507 2020-04-21 15:16

By far the best game i've played in this jam till now! The idea is really cool and the art is brilliant!

rongefilet 2020-04-22 13:41

When going to the next day if the papers are up they get pushed down but I cannot put them back up, I play on Linux through Wine so maybe the issue come from there. Anyway I managed to take the habit of closing it at 18:00. I ended up playing it way more than other games I tested and absolutely was not able to win, but I'll go back. My favorite game in the Jam so far, giving off a bit of a Papers Please vibe. Nothing to add really, just a very well made game, congrats (I was really pleased that others had took the theme in a less literal way, I've protected so much critters and tend to so many fires so far)

crochar 2020-04-22 13:42

Good execution. Heavy papers please inspiration. Maybe the font could be clearer.

peringo 2020-04-22 14:09

@crochar Absolutely trying to reproduce a papers please-esque mood, so that's great! The font is intentionally trying to look a little obfuscated in headlines ( I tried copying an old german font somewhat ), but we messed up pixel-scaling so a lot of it looks crooked and isn't displayed right in game.

peringo 2020-04-22 14:15

@rongefilet That's some mighty praise! We didn't encounter the bug you describe, so I "hope" it's based on the emulation. Cool that it works at all though, we can't compile for anything but windows right now so it's great that you found a way to try it out. Thanks!

kassjak 2020-04-22 14:33

Awesome art style and idea! Scaling doesn't seem to work well though. Stuff looks more clumped together in 1280x720 if I compare my game to this page's screenshots. The scaling also screws up button visibility, meaning that the buttons go off-screen and I can't click on them. scaling.PNG busdh.PNG

sn4pi 2020-04-22 14:42

@kassjak If you have problems with the resolution, try pressing "+" and "-" on your numpad when the game Starts. This will change the size of the game window. Also by pressing F2 the window will be centered, allowing you to move the window around. I will mention this in our description ASAP. Thanks for your response!

Edit: Nevermind @kassjak I just forgot to re-implement one important line of code before publishing so I reuploaded a new version fixing this weird AND game-breaking bug (I tried to fullscreen and my whole PC crashed.. whoops) It should work for every resolution now without breaking your pc!

ordineu 2020-04-23 01:15

Interesting game, but I was confused as to what the meters were. The first is civilian happiness, the second is defense and the third is... desire for peace? Or peacefulness?

Also things kept on popping up right before the level ended so I kept on missing events.

wzqxrys 2020-04-23 01:54

Wow this was very well thought out, nicely polished game with good twist on the theme. Well done!

peringo 2020-04-23 02:09

@ordineu It started out as peace but functions more as Allied "Trust"; Peace as in peace between the Eastern and Western Allies. The meters are definitely not explained enough and we should've avoided that. Thanks for playing, still!

geckoo1337 2020-04-23 05:19

Amazing game which reminds me another one - Papers Please. I really liked the art style and the main gameplay. The way you manage the theme is really interesting - maybe one of the most clever which I saw for the 46th LudumDare. Each action has its own geopolitic consequence and I had fun playing. The military music is good and gives some tense mood. A solid entry in less than 3 days - it's really impressive. Well done!

PS : thank you for your feedback and your kind words. I wish you the best ++

duck-reaction 2020-04-23 17:13

The art style is very nice, the illustrations are beautiful and contribute to build an intense atmosphere. I like the music also. The only drawback is the font, it's nice but not really readable and there is lot of stuff to read.

I'm confused about the meters and how events influence them, a tutorial should help the player to better understant the mechanics.

I enjoyed play it, good work !

specturnal 2020-04-24 18:38

I quite enjoy playing it, and the effort put into making so many events is really amazing. The lego city meme event got me unexpectedly, love the reference. XD The difficulty is just about right, while musics also sound nice. Great work!

bitpokit 2020-04-24 21:49

Saw this in a livestream and had to try for myself! I was not disappointed! Absolutely fantastic art and UI, and the music and sound was just as amazing. Highly underrated game that is both creative and unique. One of the best entries I've played! Excellent job!

drums 2020-04-25 03:25

Very interesting and unique game! Quite a bit of reading but I know that's the whole point! There's a lot of detail and it looks great. Balance felt good and over all it's great! Thank you for making this :)

ursagames 2020-04-25 03:32

Very interesting and cool game!

2020-05-09 11:22

Neat concept. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/S9pVfrriZ3E

gameovermexico 2020-05-11 15:26

It is a little slow, I would like a little more fluency when you go to level 11 or newspaper, and I think I won a trophy, the idea is interesting but I would like more graphics to make it excellent, good job! trofeo.jpg

honest-dan 2020-05-11 19:44

A lot of depth and really good mood to the game. I think it was just a bit too difficult to understand what was going on. You start to figure out what changes what as you go along - but for a jam game I feel maybe the learning curve was a bit steep and it felt a bit random and the outcome of the game not strongly influenced by my actions (emphasised if you don't understand the impact of your actions). Love you got achievements in and included them on your title screen.
