FANTASTIC! This game is rocking! easy to pick up hard to master. Great job!
Yoooo, this was really fun, i loved the voicing and how that tied into the "janky" gameplay, really awesome man. 5 :star2:
Nice man, did you use a emulator to put it on your tv? or is it in your real snes? ksa.png
This game is lit! :fire: Awesome visuals and sound, well tied into the theme
Wow this was very well thought out, nicely polished game with good twist on the theme. Well done!
Awesome game, camera was a bit hard, but thats fine by me, loved the small parts of AI.
Hey i had such a laugh playing this game, hard controls but thats part of the charm, couldn't get past the box level. Great jam game nonetheless. Also great music
Super cute, very visualy appealing. 5 :star2: I agree with many of the comments, need more of this.
Music, Theme, Art, Gameplay, Innovation, Mood and Overall 5 :star2: Game.
fishingaround.png OMG SO MANY FISH Great game man, but can they die?
Great polished game with awesome audio and juice, the comments here say everything else.

Cute game man i love it
Fantastic, enthralling, entertaining and rewardforyourefforts was a clever bonus, i really enjoyed the music and sounds, gotta keep those happy little yippie fish alive. Well done! 5 :star:
Very intense gameplay, lots of juice!
Great audio, art and mood dude!
This is really good @spthiel great combo, keeps things entertaining. Cute sunflower, i like crimson too
Great Mood and works well for the theme.
Sure cute man, love the graphics, hard to dodge bullets but overall fun to play.
Absolutely spot on! Theme, Setting and voiceovers :ok_hand: Those moments when you drop the heart THEN CATCH IT AGAIN! fantastic.
Addictive, polished, great concept tied to theme love it man great work. Seriously super polished menu god dam
I can't earn enough money to get a flamethrower for the wasps... Apart from that, super cute game, i like how you have to collect the money yourself. This game only needs a bit of music and balance and it would be perfect. Really great job! Perfect fit for the theme i do love how you represented the health on the flower
Yeah take that prince, Veggies for you! Great game man, music was a chuckle
Very cool, i love the music, great scene transitions and moral choices that turn sour just for fun. Nice one!
Very cleaver, i like it.
Hey amazing game, super addictive and fun, would love to see a gameover with score and how many carrots yarrrr munched on.
This is one hard game, nice job man!
5 :star2: Fantastic, Cute and Innovative, Love the mono color design true to little handhend pets like digimon or tamagotchi.
Great little game, great upgrade options, easy to tell what to do, feels like a big area to protect but that just puts the pressure on making it quite fun! Awesome job!
Love how there are 2 different death endings, 1 reached from from falling or killing the heads, the other from getting eaten which is pretty funny. Simple and great design well tied with the theme, nice job!
Innovative Great game, simple yet hard!
Simple and well made, very solid game.
Nice one man, key to winning is escaping flame spawn and running for it!
Very good use of the theme, nice!
Nice graphics, cute music.
Looks nice, audio is great love how it changes with the enemies appearing, simple and effective gameplay in tune with the them
First off great game, played it for quite awhile, cute graphics and music. At first i was a bit dazed because when i was "clicking anywhere" i was putting in a wrong ingredient or hitting the bell at the same time. I find it interesting you can remove an ingrediant but ONLY when its allowed? I would make that happen to any ingredient so you can add in the wrong one BUT you can remove it, HOWEVER if it was dirty (love the flys btw) it still gives them poisoning.
Instead of killing them the instant you click it i would suggest doing that once you click the bell.
"Ava died from crying too much" haha
Nice game memelord. Fits theme nicely, because of this game i cannot wait to be a parent in the hood
Cool as man, very simple and chill, love how you have a working highscores table
That's really cool @plantleaf. Very solid gameplay, Badass dog.
Thank you for your feedback all, i had alot of fun making a game in 2 days, definately will add a seziere warning and tripping effect option post LD46
After asleep I'll be sure to check out all your games!
Starting with the commenters.
@bjakubowski I fixed the splash screen getting stuck
@lapinchatware @uppitydonkey57 @ethebakesmith @thegamegoyal @nick-barrash @jcmonkey @theseusinabottle @alex-mulkerrin I have made the trippy effect toggle with "T" To make the high speeds playable and visuals less jarring for those who don't like the effect :heart:
@charliegray Lag means it was easier? well thats news to me. I can turn down the amount of repeated "mirrors" that might make the game lag less, thanks for letting me know i was unaware.
T now toggles the trippy effect so that will make it less laggy im hope :heart:
Yeah a few things came to mind for this theme, fire, plants, music, cats, followers. But i didn't have a game idea and i knew sound plays a big part in any good game. So I just started recording my guitar strings, split them up and make a music generator, eventually it turned into this.
Didn't start gameplay design / code until half way through the compo
@mza Cheers, it does! Avoid the speeds ups as long as you can, nothing slows it down, but you can always go faster
@galgris I agree! Thank you.
@edz123 Thank you.
@wyzard Thanks for playing, what about the controls feel clunky? Jump is dependant on if you're holding the button or letting go or a mixture of both (tap, release, wait, hold). Very little instructions do make it a bit confusing.
@wzqxrys note to self: add tutorial / guide / help of some kind in game.
@seothen cool as ill make sure to play yours aswel, Thank you kindly, what did you think for your first jam? would you do it again? and what would you different next time?
@EVERYONE Is there anyone here who is also doing there first jam? what did you think for your first jam? would you do it again? and what would you different next time?
@binaryprinciple speed is pretty fast and notes collected are not in time with the beat as such they dont reach the player at a desired time, i was thinking some left and right movement for the player, and allowing the player to choose when the note is being played.
@peringo
Amazing i cant believe you played it straight for a whole 20 minutes.
"The music changes up, the screen melts away and after my run was done, the actual guitar riffs just perfectly end the whole experience."
There is a great feeling in that moment, I'm glad you were able to experience it from such a long run.
Love your idea, makes me think adding a bit of left and right movement and that slam means i move all controls to a dpad config for arrows, wasd, and dpad on a controller. Nice.
Hard mode? Sure why not. Post LD i'll certainly consider it.
Thank you for playing so long and leaving feedback!
@pusheeneiro :smile_cat:
@anystarabove Sharp graphics, peaceful sounds, a good contrast. I'll definately check out your reference soon enough. I think of my partner when I play that one, thank you for your kind words.
@ytaha Art was rushed, I did stick to E major scale detuned by 8hz and it is 100% random after the first 4 notes already set (not collected)
Gameover is a full recording.
Gameplay is the timing you add that note (also 100% random)
There is also a 1 in 10 chance the note will play my 12 string guitar (kinda sounds off) instead of the 6 string
The menu music is a set pattern. Ranges are L = low, M = Mid, H = High
L, M, H
H
M, H
H
Repeat
All random notes amongst that range(Low = E2, F#2, G#2, A2, B2, C#3), including blank notes which give it some flare.
@spthiel You hit spikes and kept going, don't be so hard on yourself. Thanks for playing.
@cometoverdrive Thank you!
I did start with the music generator before i knew what i was going to build, eventually the prolonged thinking clicked and i knew what todo.
Welcome back @anystarabove the guitar im using is my first guitar i received in grade 1 when i was 7. Still works fine. The twangy notes come from my 12 string that honostly doesn't sound great detuned by 8hz. I only know a little music theory, sticking to a single scale was my trick to make it sound somewhat consistant. Other than that its left up to the lords of chaos.
@jharler thanks, there isn't really a difficulty scale, song notes are your life, when you stop playong the song will end.
@furfel everything in moderation.
@aplite i like your idea of a low setting
@silkworm-sweatshop Thanks for playing! definitely an experiment but i was super fun to make. The Wizard and The Slug, great name. Good luck with that project, looks massive.
@mattwoelk Cheers :beers: , Smoothes out that ending ;)
@eduardogacn thanks buddy
@prepparedheathen I added the toggle after comments pointed that out, yeah 100% random and the 12 string didn't really suit but i left it in anyway
Memelord has given birth to the great doro!
Great idea man, good mood and love what you did for the theme.
Very calming, i see the game of life resemblance i remember playing game of life as my first few games on my grandpas old computer, that and chip.
Hey i tried playing your game, keep dying within first second. not sure why. Can't even see gameplay,
Music is great art looks cool. Just bugged on my machine for some reason
Simple and fun, love it. ooh, argh, ARGGgghhhhhh
yeah nice, odly satifying
This is such a cute game 5:star:, while running off into the distance, i had a single nom with me. I was running for it guessing there's most likely a world edge, along the way i got board so i starting calling to my little nom, he flipped and hopped in glee, then i pushed the wrong butting and left him behind, he slowly faded into the distance, i called for him again no answer, i couldn't turn back i was dedicated to find the edge and time was running out! cutenoms.png Fairwell little nom
