Nice mood for this game. Good little adventure.

Loved the audio and the visuals! Would be nice to have the controls listed somewhere tho :)

I really like the artwork, but the movement feels slow and weird until you realize you are moving in a grid. Maybe you could make that more obvious or allow all movement since I don't think it adds to the gameplay. I couldn't reach the plant and it was very frustrating with the slow move speed. I understand that sets the mood better, but maybe there is a better balance somehow. Good job in any case, the game is very pretty, and if that's your first game with godot you will have something great in no time!

@Linx I appreciate the feedback!

Movement controls didn't work for me. Will skip rating because it seems like a bug

Great audio, art and mood dude!

Congratz on finishing on time! I liked the art, music was fitting and sfx were okay. However, the character was too slow, there wasn't a clear distinction what a is a random object in th ebackground and what is a important gameobject for the gameplay. Also the turrets were detecting player only in ~4 positions. Lots of imporvements to be made, but good job nonetheless:)

Haha I liked the soundeffects. They are very fitting for the pixel art theme. Fun game!

Short and sweet. Mood and audio were definitely the strong points for me. Getting caught by the laser enemy on the last screen actually helps you get back to the plant faster. Graphics were ok. Movement was not the best though as being locked into a grid felt awkward. Good job overall, congrats for finishing.

Nice mood and graphics for the game! I agree on the movement being a little bit slow, and some difficulties to make the difference between interactive and background elements. I don't know if it's intended, but the turret seems to teleport the player always at the same spot, which actually becomes a shortcut on the way back.

I had a good time playing, good job! :)

Nice litte game. The mood really reminded me of Yume Nikki, so I really really loved that. Good job!

Generally I don't like games where you just walk around, but this has a really good vibe to it, and you get a bit of environmental narrative that keeps it engaging.

Good concept! I was leaved with feeling that i want more content! =D

silkworm-sweatshop 2020-04-25 18:47

Not a lot of content but a nice base for something. The pixelart is good and the music sets the mood. Slow walking speed can work but it might've been a bit too much. I spent quite a while in the first room trying to interact with things since it's not clear what is an intractable or not. Pretty daring to learn a new engine during a jam but it can be a good way to force yourself to take the step I suppose :).

Pretty good game. The art is fantastic and the audio, and the whole feel of the game is really good and creepy and sad but also kinda optimistic. The game play is a little sluggish, and very very short, but definitely worth completing. In all, pretty impressive for the time taken.

Simple but Good. it feels nice to play. :v:
