The graphics look really cool! I couldn't get my robots to charge at all after the first time, so I didn't know what to do and they ended up just running out. Honestly, I couldn't figure out how to do anything after I charged Atlas, so I just kind of went around destroying trees. Maybe improve game to player communication next time? Anyway, a solid attempt. Good job!

hexiez123 2020-04-20 23:35

Nice Portal reference. The graphics and map looks amazing.

hamzeh 2020-04-20 23:37

honestly the graphics are top notch

witdarkstar 2020-04-20 23:39

Really cool little game. Nice mechanics, great presentation. Really enjoyed this.

karln 2020-04-20 23:41

Definitely a neat idea. Would have been nice to see this idea developed a bit more, with P-Body maybe having a few more things to do.

phpgator 2020-04-20 23:42

I couldn't figure out how to get out of the starting area? With that said, I think the graphics and approach is very good! I like the concept.

vrerabek 2020-04-20 23:43

The graphics combined with the music make the post-apocalyptic atmosphere feel just right. I could not figure out what to do after charging second robot though. :(

slimabob 2020-04-21 00:01

I'd say this game has the best atmosphere of any I've played so far! Loved the atlas & p-body reference. The game was very hard but a cool idea.

patrickjr 2020-04-21 00:08

This game looks spectacular. You should add sounds to give the player feedback for when things happen: like when a tree is cut down, or when your robot can't charge anymore. The gameplay is lacking. It's just walking around getting trees without a point. But the looks make up for it :)

joaquinm 2020-04-21 00:16

I loved this game! it´s amazing what you achieve in 72hs!

dm2684 2020-04-21 00:34

No, it takes less than 72 hoars. around 60h. unfortunatley we can't finish a few cooll things.

dm2684 2020-04-21 00:37

Thanks for your feedback guys! For us this is very important how far we can go for 72h.

dm2684 2020-04-21 00:39

To go out just wait for 100% charging. After try to find your friend and charge him. Grab wood to Genertor (the blue one) and after charge your robot and grab more wood....

dm2684 2020-04-21 00:41

@karln They can more but we didn't have time to implement it.

binaryprinciple 2020-04-21 01:25

Great graphics and a nice idea! I like that you need to puzzle your way out using both bots.

wmute 2020-04-21 05:12

I think we will continue to work on ChargeMe. We have a lot of ideas to make the game better. The game was done from a scratch without any third-party libraries. Unfortunately not too much time to implement everything we were planned. It was our first LD event and we gained a lot of experience. Thank you for your feedback positive or negative.

d1str4kt0r 2020-04-21 06:35

Very cool! i was left wanting to see some action.. Hope you keep working on this one guys.. DM me anytime! if you guys need some OST i'll be happy to do it!

rabbitearedelf 2020-04-21 07:14

A really good game, with an amazing graphics!

2020-04-21 07:26

an idea has potential!

lukel 2020-04-21 10:22

Intresting idea/game! Great art, made by you guys? No mac support? :)

wmute 2020-04-21 11:03

@lukel We will support it in the final release :-)

moffkalast 2020-04-21 11:50

Are those.. fallout assets? :P

The game mechanics are really well done, pathfinding is good, movement is smooth. Just a little bit too much waiting in the gameplay loop I would say, and I can't seem to really power up the robots to 100%. Wood doesn't seem to give much fuel.

wmute 2020-04-21 12:41

@moffkalast > I can’t seem to really power up the robots to 100%. Wood doesn’t seem to give much fuel.

That was the plan :-) However, the balance is still is not perfect

dm2684 2020-04-21 12:42

Y

dm2684 2020-04-21 12:43

@moffkalast Yes we were inspired by the art of fallout. )

bobost2 2020-04-21 17:19

I really like the enviroment, but the gameplay is little bit broken. Also I found a bug when Atlas is interacting with the generator at 3% or less, the battery start to fall bellow 0% and it never stops (-100% and beyond).

saltfactory-studio 2020-04-22 02:47

Great environment with amazing graphic and audio. Great work.

microchasm 2020-04-22 05:44

Very nice graphics, it's like a vertical slice of something that could be very cool. I like games that feel physical, like playing with a diorama. I would love to see particles here-- sucking in the wood, sparks when charging. I couldn't get the recycler to stay alive unfortunately.

timetravelhamster 2020-04-22 06:32

Really enjoyed this.|Mechanics are really good and graphics are top. Thank you for game.

tadej 2020-04-22 11:57

Love the idea. I hope you develop this further.

For the future - please name the game folder by the games name. It's hard to find yor game among 20 other ludum submissions I have on my desktop when its named "Build.zip" :).

wmute 2020-04-22 12:11

@tadej Thank you for the advice! We definitely will follow it. It's your first time :-)

denis123 2020-04-22 16:13

Great graphics :) I am looking forward to seeing more of this.

// ( Hoping that you will continue to work on this - I have found something weird. Atlas ran out of battery in between the green plants and P-Body got stuck in the weird animation when trying to charge Atlas. )

wmute 2020-04-22 17:32

@denis123 We a plan to continue to work on it. Regarding stuck... sometimes navigation system issues appearing it's true. I'm still polishing it. The best option is to try to move another robot from another side.

nsadie 2020-04-24 06:55

Very cool idea! I would love to see this fleshed out with more robot friends and more things to do! Also it would be cool if the power indicator was on the robot itself as well?

Like a little charge light or something, when the power is low is starts flashing?

wmute 2020-04-24 10:09

@nsadie We are thinking about robot upgrades to make them be able to do another things. I don't think the family will grow. It's just a story about two service robots =) Regarding indicator I have thought about it. it's a good idea but for now I don't know how to make it organic from the design standpoint. Flashing light could be solution but I would like to see a battery bar. Because it's top-down view there is not much space to place it.

nsadie 2020-04-24 10:20

@wmute You would need to put the indicator at the top somehow. You could always give them a little antenna with a light at the top with some fun bounce effect! https://forum.unity.com/threads/car-antenna-physics.464619/

thearchitect 2020-04-24 16:37

Hi there, really like the graphic, but stuck on tutorial after knowning could collect, could give more suggest? really like to play rest of the game.

wmute 2020-04-25 06:14

@thearchitect at this moment it's a finish of the tutorial. Just try to stay active as more as you can. You need to collect resources to refuel the generator which will allow you to charge your robots. Just keep in mind the game was done in 60 hours =) It has very basic mechanics. After the end of the event and based on feedback we will decide what we will do with this game. We have a raw plan regarding the game and I'm really would like to keep work on it.

blue-pin-studio 2020-04-29 09:44

Hey there! Thanks for checking out my game, i managed to play yours as well :D I had a good time trying to balance Atlas and P-Body's charges but it proved too difficult for me in the end. I wish there was a way that P-Body could transfer charge to Atlas after the first little tutorial
