LD46 — Keep it alive

Bruti the bear by JackLeHamster 2020-04-27T08:42:20Z

I don't really get the gameplay. Is there a difference between different platform types? Also the web player on itch.io is too small, yo could increase the hight a bit. I like the graphics and animations, the water effect looks nice.

Lost Goblins by pndaa 2020-04-26T08:47:31Z

Fun to play and a very good concept for a puzzle game. Well done :)!

Aviarium by AidanMarkham 2020-04-23T21:41:52Z

I had a hard time getting used to the controls. Would have preffered to steer with mouse movement. Other than that a really great entry, sound design is great as well. Easily in the top 10 games I've tried so far.

Mayday by awerar 2020-04-21T11:01:24Z

I agree that there could be more visual difference between the asteroid types, but overall very nice graphics. Simple concept but well made.

Tale of a Little Guardian by Morg 2020-04-24T13:27:30Z

It could just be me, but I really don't like the attack being mapped to "Z". A lot of games do it that way and I don't really see why. I don't find it particularly convinient for either layout(qwerty/qwertz). Wouldn't it be better to have it on CTRL or somwhere near the wasd (Q or E). Feel free to prove me wrong :).

Other than that I really like the game. The art looks amazing, both background and charcter design! The sound design was great as well. Really nice entry overall .

Tale of a Little Guardian by Morg 2020-04-25T15:05:48Z

@nablaz I used left hand for movement (wasd, space) and right hand for attack and interaction (z and up, also I'm on a qwertz keyboard, so the layout is a bit different). If attack is on CTRL you can use either hand to trigger it which is... handy :P. This is not a big criticism and the game is perfectly playable the way it is, I'm just wondering why Z is often used as the attack button when you consider the difference in qwertz/qwerty keyboard layouts.

Night Keeper by SleepyStudios 2020-04-22T15:12:35Z

Love the monster design and the health bars, really cool.

Up Hero Down Enemies by regisclaus 2020-04-25T20:39:03Z

Quite fun. After the level 15 I barely needed to upgrade my stats and downgrade enemies tho, so I just stacked a lot of points (see picture below). Also maybe it would be more interesting if weapons and potions were something you would use for tougher fights and would only last for the duration of 1 round.

One thing that wasn't really clear to me was if stat points debuff all the following enemies or just the current enemy.

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-26T08:57:34Z

The death sound effect gets a bit annoying after a while, other than that it's a great entry. Love the art and animation :)

Mega Kinetic by Add-an-A 2020-04-22T16:00:11Z

Really nice art style, good sfx, fun to play and overall nicely polished. Good job :)

Corners can be exploited a little bit. If you manage to trap the "ball" between your character and the corner you can get a lot of points. Maybe an octagonal arena or something like that would help.

Field Hospital by n.feofentov 2020-04-21T16:35:08Z

Great job on the UI/UX.

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-21T10:25:46Z

@hollebecq-baptiste Thanks. You can buy other spells in the grimoire on the left side by using points. You get points with kills (farmer - 1, knight -3).

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-21T14:54:42Z

@ic-rainbow Backspace resets the word and there's some sound cues if you're mistyping. Should have done a better job of communicating it visually.

I agree, custom dictionaries would be pretty cool :).

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-21T21:42:16Z

@adinimys WebGL and linux versions are now available.

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-24T13:55:49Z

@automatonvx Thanks, all valid carticism, will fix it in a post jam version. The points are the score shown in the grimoire.

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-26T07:04:17Z

@Croped Thanks :). During development I initially made the "following" camera, but in a lot of cases it couldn't cover the whole army so I changed it to be controlled by the user instead. I plan to do an improved version of it for a later release. It will also have an amazing new feature never seen before, called "The Zoom Button".

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-04-30T20:30:27Z

@akitl Hm, did you try both downloadable and web versions?

NecroTyper by Tadej 2020-05-01T09:56:19Z

@akitl Haven't heard of this happening to anyone else. Try the downloadable version or another browser maybe.

Monster Rumble by Jun-Seo 2020-04-22T06:57:44Z

I tried the game and I can't seem to get past the second wave. With starting resources you can only build one tower and it's not enough to kill the two enemies. Am I missing something? It would also be nice to have some feedback of when the tower is firing (at least an audio effect, if not visual). I do like the look of the game.

@ioan-pop There are instructions in the main menu. When the square at the bottom of the screen is green you can click on a tile and press space to build a tower. Insutrctions say you can build on the left side of the screen, but it seems you can only build on the right.

Monster Rumble by Jun-Seo 2020-04-22T06:57:44Z

Sorry for double post, site error.

Zombie Survival by Croped 2020-04-25T21:02:41Z

Loved it, good puzzles and a really cool concept.

Rootgnome by KoraktorXV 2020-04-21T09:45:07Z

I'm confused by the mechanics as well. Maybe desribing the objective and interactions in the description would help. The game looks interestingo tho, I like the visuals.

The Reef by jakemchugh1 2020-04-22T11:23:30Z

Very cool concept, but I found it difficult to tell what exactly is happening. It would be useful to have some cues to fish interaction. Also it would help to have contrasting colors for prey and predators.

ChargeMe by WMute 2020-04-22T11:57:34Z

Love the idea. I hope you develop this further.

For the future - please name the game folder by the games name. It's hard to find yor game among 20 other ludum submissions I have on my desktop when its named "Build.zip" :).

Movin' and Keepin' Alive by G.A.GameStudio 2020-04-25T21:43:42Z

As mentioned before, jumping is a bit unresponsive. Also sometimes I would instantly lose 2 hearts when hitting an enemy. Maybe you could make the character invulnerable for a fraction of a second after getting hit once.

Other than that it's a really fun game. I like the mechanic of not being able to stop and the way it's introduced in the tutorial.

CrossWalk by WilliamCarter 2020-04-23T20:52:58Z

Very buggy, but looks like an interesting concept. If you make some post jam fixes, I'd happily try it again.

Just a thought - maybe it would be easier to control buildings if you selected them with a mouse click and then move and rotate them with a keyboard?

Also it would be nice to have a restart button when you lose the game.

THE PATH by theblackfrog 2020-04-21T10:19:39Z

Relly nice graphics ands sound. Probably the most polished game I've tried so far.

Cabral Soldado Heroico by Rustimak 2020-04-23T22:18:39Z

Loved it! Very impressive for 3 days work.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Moot by Peco 2021-05-02T17:45:04Z

A bit simplistic in terms of gameplay, but the art and sfx are great.

Mental Abyss by Stefan0198 2021-05-06T13:39:20Z

I was going for a similar concept with my game, I also had and elevator and shadowy figures :). This gave me a pretty bad case of motion sickness tho (I get it with certain fps games, in this one it was low fov and slow character movement). But from what I played I liked the visuals and the general mood.

Bucket Hat by Edur 2021-05-06T19:32:24Z

Nice. I liked the hat mechanic.

Deep Sea Tycoon by Udo2 2021-05-08T14:17:14Z

Relly fun game, I'd play more of this. Well done :)

Couple of minor ux things that I was mssing: - Would be nice if there were some icons next to the assets. - The ability to sort assets, or at least have non-fucntioning rigs at the top. - Market price could be shown in the top bar.
