Cool game! Good story! Although, I kept falling down the take a deep breath, go for the window scenario. I couldn't resist seeing what would happen if I fell into a loop. I feel like in a real life mystery I would end up pacing across the room doing the same things over and over again.
@dry-squid Thanks so much for playing and providing feedback!
Ha! Oh, man. I should've given you the consequences you craved for that. And absolutely. Whenever I've lost something, I 100% check the same five places four times each before remembering the right place.

Interesting game! I really like things like this, and I love exploring around. The only issue I had was having a bit of a hard time reading the text on that colour background ):
But overall it was fun, damnit Jim (:

Very interesting game! A text based game is only as good as its writing, and your writing was fantastic! I got sucked into the game and had an enjoyable time. Good work! :)
@sarah Thank you for the review! Yeah, my eyes were already burning from the weekend of foolishly not wearing my glasses. I somehow didn't realize how bad that color/weight combo is, but that and the grammar/spelling errors I've found so far will be fixed asap after voting.
@slimabob Thank you so much for reviewing! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
Cool game, enjoyed the story. One suggestion I would make next time is don't make such long paragraphs. Try to minimalism the amount of words you use. Anyways good job. :)

Nice job, I always like a story game. I would say the font, shadow, and colors didn't lend to easy reading. Some separation between paragraphs would be good too. If you wanted to make this a bit nicer, some simple animation on the text might go a long way.

Just a tip: when you submit your game, you can opt out of categories. If you have a text based game, you can e.g. opt out of graphics and then your rating won't get dragged down when people factor that into their Overall decision.

A mini adventure horror text game. I would like to see more of this, because I want to know. Where are they? Are they still alive? How this monster came here? Is there some chocolate in the kitchen?
This is a really cool story. Would be great to have an easier to read font, but otherwise good job! :)
Great game! Was a little overwhelmed with the amount of text that cam eon the screen, but as I was getting through the story it really sucked me in! Would love to have seen some narration for those who don't want to read the text, that way it can also be a bit more accessable. Great job!
I finally got around to rating this! Like I said on stream, the writing is really captivating. Which is obviously important for a text based game. You really nailed that! I couldn't hear any sound, so I wonder if that was an issue on my end or if you just forgot to opt out of the audio category. I do feel the sentiment expressed by some that too much text can be intimidating but that the writing also really sucked them in once they got into it. I wonder if it would've been a good idea to start with much less text as a hook and built up along the way? Great stuff, anyhow!
