Is it intentional that items double up ontop of each other? Sometimes I'd collect a wrong item but it would say I collected the correct item. I assume this is because the correct one was underneath it? Could easily see this as a neopets game or something. Solid idea.

That's a bug I couldn't fix, and because I needed sleep I had to stop the jam here :/ Thank you for playing though!
Excelent game!! Congratulations it's really fun to play. However I got stucked at level 3, I think there's a bug, never find the dog bone and I round the shop like 5 times. The music, the theme and the mechanics are really good. Maybe the shooting is a bit irrelevant.

I forgot to add to the tutorial a sentence with: "You can shoot objects to destroy them and instantiate a new one" so unwanted items you can destroy and you will get a new instantiated, but thanks for playing! Glad you liked it

Yeah, seemed I got impossible shopping lists, I guess if I shot the items I could get it replaced with something I needed. I liked the artwork, sounds, and music. The gameplay is fine.

Sweet game! Graphics were great, as was the music. Completed 6 lists before I finally died! Great job. :)

@dk5000p Yeah the shopping list and spawned items is all random, you indeed need to shoot unwanted items to reset them, that was a quick thing I did to make the game playable, completly fix it so that you always have an item you can buy was to complicated for the time left
Cool game. I like the idea, it's pretty cute. I would have preferred to just have 1 shot 1 kill for the enemies but that's just my opinion.

@somefarang Yeah, I hoped i could add more enemies like one-shot enemies and stuff, but ran out of time :/ would indeed be better though, but thanks for playing! Hope you enjoyed it

Great work! The highest I made it was 14. The items kept spawning on top of each other which would be my main complaint but not a huge one.
Hi 1’ year old boy, the main menu buttons are cut off when viewing the webplayer not in full screen. I would recommend mainly talking about the controls in the tutorial, because those aren't explained on the page. Regarding the controls, I would make the guy shoot towards the mouse cursor instead of the direction he is facing. Good choice of background music and funny art.

Good work! Especially considering the limited time you had. As always your art is superb.

@mika-la-grand yeah, I messed up the tutorial I know, it was really rushed, with the shoot to cursor thing, I tried it but didn't really fit :/ thanks for playing though, hope you liked it!

@lilou-cormic aww, thanks, hope the many bugs didn't completly ruin it... thanks for playing lilou!
@lemur Didn't get anything I would call a bug. Needs tweaking and more explaining that's all.

Fun little game! I enjoyed my time at the shops! :shopping_cart: Interesting idea, great work on your first game jam! Keep it up.

This game is cool! I'm impressed that there's a tutorial as most LD games don't include one. It was definitely helpful for getting started, although I didn't realize (at first) that I could shoot items to destroy them, which would generate a new/different item elsewhere. Once I figured that out I was on a roll, and I was slaying necros left and right! Great job on both the coding and the artwork. I had fun!
have many bugs first the randown system of objects ta strange second when the game over does not rest if tidying up game will cool.

@miltonsilva thank you for playing! yeah, the item stacking bug was a bug I thought I fixed but..... I didn't, and I hope I can polish the game, if I have time i'll do it for sure!
Very nice. I think I encountered a few times where the stuff I needed just was not available; however, it was fun enough to just restart and keep playing. Would have liked a keyboard button for shooting in addition to the mouse button. Pro Tip, move diagonal, you move a little faster. :) Can outrun the baddies when needed. Thanks!! https://webthingee.itch.io/shipwrekt if you have time. btw, I also had the issue with the Canvas not fitting the screen size. Prob just a canvas sizing issue; if (Game Jam != bugs) your not trying hard enough. :) again nice work!!

@webthingee Thank you for playing! I hope you somewhat enjoyed it :p, and yeah, I had some stupid problems with the canvas, pinned the images to the wrong sides... For the diagonal movement thing, 1) I let it go because didn't have much time to fix bugs, 2) I think it makes the game more fun, like it's Fight or Flight, but yeah it wasn't meant to be that way.... and which keyboard button then? Spacebar? And for sure i'll check your game out ;) woah, that was a long message I just wrote...
