Really interesting concept. It reminded me a lot of the old games I used to play on my Atari especially with the sounds as well. Loved the lighting effect on the barbarians, exploded them into a bloody mess. :D Good job.
Nice concept! The gameplay is pretty intuitive, you really understand quickly what you can do to "save" your people. The story itself is really nice, it does works well with the theme. I loved the feedbacks and the whole game experience. Nice work and good luck on the competition! I hope you will dig this idea, this could be turned into a mobile game really easily I think!
Haha, this was nuts! Unlike the comment above I had nooooo idea what was happening :D I finished a good few levels and had a good laugh about it though :)
Very intressting idea!
I really like the random element. You never know which wrath hits the small guys next. The pixelart is great. Needed some time to figure out how the gameplay works. But worth it!
Really nice take on the theme
I am forgiven!
This is great fun, but pretty stressful. I like the replay-ability from the randomization. Great, original idea.

I love it! very tense and difficulty scales in an intuitive and fun way. almost every part of this game is self explanatory, which is quite an accomplishment! my only complaint is that the sound effects can be a little painful for headphone users after a while.

Pretty interesting game. I feel like all of the people who died might have been a bit disproportionate to me eating that sandwich in the break room fridge, but with that said, I was forgiven.

Cool idea, and it fits nicely with the theme, too. Well done!
As for graphics, although I did like the tiny pixel-art world, the mix of pixelart and non-pixel (texts, the curse roulettes) felt a bit off to me.
This is a lovely game! It's super easy to play and it only took a couple turns in order to really get what these curses mean. It could be a little better optimized but other than that this could be a really successful flash game!

Clever gameplay, reminded me of Lemmings. Good use of the theme too. It would have been cool if there was some planning time to place them in anticipation for the plagues rather than them all happening so fast.

I really like this one! The one thing I would like to see if this was expanded upon would be a sandbox mode where you have unlimited citizens to plop down, and were able to pick the disasters! Awesome idea, and great execution- especially for 48hrs!

Great concept, and easy to pick up and play (a big plus in my books). Audio was a bit loud, but pleasent enough. Good pacing, and liked all the chaos that ramped up and things went on. Great submission overall.
Would love your Feedback on my entry if you have the time: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/sling-ship-search-for-a-small-world

@jojocanard Great Game. Had a blast playing it, very clever and impressive you were able to implement so many systems in the game. It runs pretty much bug free as far as I can tell. Would love a full screen option so I can see the game in more detail. Top stuff!

Cool game, bug free, graphics were serviceable, sound added a bit of depth, tough they were a bit obnoxious because they are played so much. graphics were ok-ish. The game has a very interesting concept, tough its mostly luck wether you survive, balance wise it seems ok, I made it to the end, tough I dont know how screwed I could have been.
I think this would benefit fromsome added interactivity, most of the time I withheld my people for the longest amount of time I could, and when placing them I just spread them so didn't die all at the same time. Also as someone above me said, it runs a bit sluggishly, tough since its not high octane gameplay I wasn't bothered too much by it.
@Firewill thanks a lot for your complete and honest feedback. Serviceable is a great word to define sound and graphics in this game indeeed.
The game is pretty easy and random because that is how I make games for the ludum dare. A bit of level design and more interactivity would be required for a real game.
@bob-the-seagull-king The optimisation of the code is horrible indeed, and I know why but I didn't dare to correct it during the competition. Maybe someday.
Great ideas @slimabob @fenwick I take note.
thank you for your remark @Ithildin . I didn't think about it at all but you are probably right.

Fun: it is a fun game and very easy to learn / play. Replay value is good. However it would be nice if the game had a count of days to compare between plays.
Innovation: there is a mix of Worms, a god simulator and randomization. I really liked the idea and I think the game has the potential to be expanded.
Theme: it was a great choice of theme. The flat world sets the game apart from most of the games made at the event.
Graphics: simple and effective. In my opinion, the game could have pixelated fonts to match the art style.
Audio: there is good sound feedback. I missed music, though.
Humor: the game texts and sound effects are very humorous and enjoyable. :)
Mood: it's a relaxing and friendly game. It is neither difficult nor frustrating. There could be a little introduction about why their god is punishing them. But I understand it may not be in the scope.

Hahaha that was great, I had some framerate issue but the game was simple to understand, great pixel art and fun concept. Didn't beat it yet, but got really close. Great work!
I liked it... very original! I thought it had no strategy at first (like, you just put people down then math.random())... but by the end I was being VERY careful about when and where I placed people. Great idea!

Nice idea. Challenges were sometimes chaotic, but that's all right because I could understand my mistakes.

This is a very humorous game on every turn! I liked the slot machine layout on the top, creating anticipation for disaster. The game is quite chaotic, but that's what kept me focused. Very appropriate sound effects too :)
Really fun game and great idea, I felt really sorry for those little guys.

Ha my people were rather prone to drowning!
I think the game is nice and readable and quick to pick up. I feel the concept has the potential to be expanded on with some more interactivity if you ever felt lie continuing with it. The round/levels are nice and quick though so I never felt like I was hanging around too long.
Art-wise I feel the graphics would have benefited from sticking to a single style for cohesiveness. But again, everything's nice and readable which is the more important factor in my book!
Didn't run into any bugs or game-breakers. :) I rather enjoyed this and had fun with it.

Love the idea. I would have liked to see more strategy; some of the disasters seem pretty random, especially the lightning bolts. But the simplicity is nice and I really like where this is going! Would love to see it more fleshed out. Really neat idea, and it really fits the theme as well.
at first i had no clue but then i figured out you need to place your peeps strategically for the next wave of events - nice little game - great use of theme

It's really fun! I think the strategic part of this game could be improved because it becomes very random. I do not know why, but there is a bad frame rate more than I am far in levels until I can no longer play at all. Except this thing, I thought the sound effects are pretty well integrated in the game and I like the graphics : nice work!
Gods are love? Really? A good entry with an unusual gameplay. Do you remember Black&White - a game which has been released more than 15 years ago? You did something more or less similar. Well done ++
C'est un bon travail que tu as fait là jojocanard. Bravo mec :)

Really fun game! i could spend an hour on it :p the theme, gameplay and world deformation is really interesting and i really like it. the weakest point is probably the placement of the followers. i would like to push a bit the one already placed or understand why i can only place 2 followers and sometime 4. Great game, i can see me launch it with a bit more content on my phone :p
Excellent idea and execution, I love how things get intense really fast. As others told you, this could perfectly become a mobile game.
Good work :D

Awesome concept! I somehow survived the levels, but I don't how what I did to succeed. Some things apeared elementary to me after the first level, like to place people not on the right or left border (enemies spawn there), to place them not to close or in water and to spread them a bit.
Great concept, very original. I like the way it's visually presented. Very appealing, with nice attention to detail. Most of the time I felt like I got through the levels through sheer luck, however. So I think it needs some balancing in that area, but for a 48 hour game this is great. i did have some trouble placing the humans though. Sometimes I could place humans and sometimes not. It wasn't clear whether I was positioned wrongly or had run out of humans. I was thinking, maybe there's a bug in the controls?
Thanks for sharing your game. Probably the most original game I've played so far and I had a great time playing it as well :D
This was a neat idea, I liked seeing all the different curses. Nice job!

Concept is really interesting! I enjoyed experimenting with the world and my little humans. I definitely like watching the consequences of cataclysms, how the world reacts to all this. But it's not very good that the player's influence on the process is minimal. Plus, the sounds are a little bit annoying, and the FPS sometimes falls.
But it was fun! Good job!
Good and original concept ! I had fun playing your game and i find it quite polished. Maybe it's too easy to just wait to put your people on the ark but it's still a good entry.
Enjoyed the random element, only hoped you could help them somehow survive :)

Fun and interesting game. Really cool concept that fit the theme super well.
Finally I am forgiven :) Really a fun concept! My people had a really hard time!

Nice use of the theme! This so far the most interesting concept I have encountered so far in this ludum dare.
The idea is good, so is the gameplay. I wish the graphics and audio would be better, so that it would add more atmospere to the game.
