Movement is super janky and makes it very difficult to play. Fixed camera angles are ok but the angle makes it hard to even see some details that might help someone solve a puzzle. I want to like this more but the mechanics need tightening up.

I like the style and graphics, however after talking to the maid I wasn't able to move. The dialogs sometimes show up inside other objects making them difficult to read.

I love voxels so I am glad to see someone using them. The main issue I found was the camera was hard to work with.
The atmosphere of this is really cinematic and lovely!! Very immersive :) Although the dialogue is a bit long at the beginning and throughout the character interactions, overall it's very well done!!

Great lighting effects and modelling work, aesthetically pleasing! Like has been mentioned, the transitions between areas were a little rough along with the movement method. Texts could have been shorter/faster too. The idea was quite original and fitted theme well (started with no info/clues). Good work!
I really like the atmosphere and art style here - great job! :)
So I am...a wee bit lost on the ending. It got the (desired) WHAT?! surprise out of me, for that reason. But since I had at least two glitches (first, the known maid one, since I was a fool and didn't read the full page before playing; then, talking to the Mrs. immediately before the door was unlocked, because of lucky mouse clicks since I was multi-clicking everything to make sure I hit an actionable patch of floor) I'm not sure if it was the correct one or if I skipped something else that would've clarified it. The auto-scroll text also may have meant I didn't get all the information that I did access--talking to the maid for the second time, I approached from the wrong side and covered up part of her speech. Then the final phone call was quick and I was distracted by sudden light elsewhere on the screen.
All of that said, I love the amount of atmosphere and cliches/tropes you managed to work in before the out of nowhere ending. I'm never a huge fan of voxels and this was still very charming (and I imagine much faster and therefore more polished than if it had been another stylized aesthetic). Also, ensured the dead body etc weren't too creepy/scarring. So good choice! I am detective story trash.

Great! The camera motion was fantastic, and I really appreciate the audio work you did on this game. It really helped set the scene. The amount of art is genuinely impressive given how little time there was to work on the game!
Unfortunately my game crashed after I turned on the faucet, but I really appreciated what you had going on. Great job! :D

The story, music and the art style is all pretty good. I especially like the games atmosphere. For me the text was not long enough on the screen, and some of the text is a bit difficult to read (both because it has the same colour as the background and some because it is hidden behind other stuff). Overall a pretty good jam game.
Very nice realization of game in voxel!
Really nice game, played to the end (tho it crashed once, but happends =) ) Great job!
Nice voxel graphic and atmosphere, good job!
Really loved the mood with the music, hard boiled detectives are the best
It has a nice feel and is an interesting premise, but it is very hard to move and interact. I ended up getting stuck in the kitchen and couldn't move. The text display system was very cool, so good job with that!
Very unique game! I enjoyed how imaginative and funny it was. I found it kind of difficult to know what I could interact with. Maybe you could add a feature where when you mouse over objects that you can interact with, they will highlight or something. Overall great job!
This is a very good looking game with great atmosphere. Unfortunately there are some bugs that prevent us to enjoy it fully, like text appearing behind things or even off screen, awkward moving and interacting with stuff. The ending is a nice surprise. The music is nice, but rather repetitive.

He's a what now? What a moody little game! I'm not sure how to connect the dots to that ending but I had fun getting there. Really liked the voxel graphics. What a nice entry!
The mood and level/character graphics were top notch. The movement felt very clunky such that it was awkward to get around unfortunately. Overall enjoyable, and quite ambitious for a game jam game.
Really nice looking game! I was excited to play, but got IndexOutOfRangeException while moving around, and then movements stopped. Ping me if you get the bug fixed!
Fun game and has great atmosphere. There are definitely some bugs to be worked out, text being hidden or hard to see, characters talking about things that I didn't learn about yet, or things that already happened. The amount and quality of the art that you got done is impressive! and it really does look great! I found it hard to find the proper doors as well sometimes, and to tell what an and cannot be interacted with.
Overall a great Ludum Dare entry, and something you should be proud of!
Decent entry, I think it would have helped if there was a better puzzle to help drive the story.

Nice entry, very atmospheric. Using the escape key to skip is not the best choice as it also exits full screen mode. Also the camera doesn't reset right away if you skip text. Game crashed on me which is why I was skipping through stuff. Got stuck for a while thinking there was something else to do in the study, but figured it out eventually. Some of the doors were hard to spot due to camera angles.

really great graphics and mood in this game!
really nice atmosphere, reminded me of Hot tin roof:the cat that wore a fedora, it could have been a bit clearer what you're supposed to interact with but pretty good over all :)
Movement is a little awkward, art is brilliant and the soundtrack etc is great, the atmosphere the game has is palpable and I think it's quite amazing.
Art and atmosphere are top notch. I would love to be able to rotate the camera as I had some trouble clicking on some things. Also, when a certain man is pointing towards something, I had trouble seeing his hands so it was difficult to figure out where he was pointing with the fixed camera angle. Overall, I think you did a really good job. Well done!

The voxel graphics, lighting and general ambiance of this all were lovely. Also good on you guys for logging all the bugs to be addressed after the competition, they cover pretty much all the feedback I'd planned on giving (text speed, camera angle with the maid). Keep it up!
I've always loved point and click adventures and this surprised me with it's graphic and sound which are very polished and it sounds great. Some subtitles are hard to read when it belongs to character which is far away of camera but gameplay is good and smooth with good story. Good job :)

Awesome game! I love the graphics, good audio, everything creates such a good mood. I think the text of character dialogue could appear a little faster and sometimes the text was appearing behind other objects and out of camera's view, which made it hard to read.

The idea itself is cool, but either I don’t know something, or the camera should always be like that and it shouldn’t be moved. It’s just that sometimes the text became unreadable because it became almost flat due to the camera. And red text in a room with red shades is not the best choice. But if you did this game alone, then you are well done)! Good luck).
Truman Cross was a true hard-boiled detective, I liked him the most. Very atmospheric murder mystery, I too thought the lighting was great in this, it worked really well, from the opening to the widow interrogation and finally to the final room. Very engaging story too, good luck with the game going forward, it's a solid foundation! Great job!
The detective story is very good suiting for current theme! I think writing-text-animation not so convenient to read. But I like the atmosphere of the game and stylization.
nice concept and decent graphics, but i couldn't figure out what to do :c
I like the graphics. They look well polished. I also like how you went for a cinematic mood. It would be nice if the dialogue could appear above object like with the character tending the bushes.

grahics and music are awesome, text is sometimes hidden by the environnement ! Atmosphere is heavy as should be and the story is rather engaging however I feel like the end was a bit rushed. Nice game and congratulations ! :)

the atmosphere is incredible as much as the design of the game, I'm a fan of the character designdu main character. Otherwise, I find the fx (rain in particular) a little too loud compared to the music and text the text is not fully integrated . I got stuck at first, I saw the poison file, I talked to everyone, but nothing unlocks the rest of the game, I'm sad:'( but well played to you !

nice atmosphere really cool good job :D
Hey I played your game on stream but unfortunately the audio mix was really bad but I still enjoyed playing.
Pros: The aesthetic, mood, music
Cons: Camera Issues, not being able to exit dialogue or text if I accidentally clicked on something
overall though, very nice work!

I think at this point all the problems with the text being cut off and the game giving zero clue about where to click were already pointed out. So all left to say it that looking beyond those details, you made an great game! Has a deep story, lots of characters, lots of plot twists, and a lot of mystery. Awesome work!

The intro is truly captivating, I like how you created the effect of driving in rain with 3D text, and then implicitly indicated stopping and getting out of the car without really having to animate it :) When it comes to first impressions in the game though, there are various important details you should fix. The controls are stated in a single line of "I - Inventory Esc - Skip Mouse -", which you should really separate with newlines or commas :) When opening the inventory, the text has very wrong aspect ratio and is of a low quality, you should tweak the UI canvas/text parameters in Unity. More importantly though, Esc is really a terrible choice to skip a dialogue, considering it closes the fullscreen mode :) And I believe the rest of the issues were addressed in previous comments. I believe you are allowed to integrate such minor bugs even before the LD Jam ends :) Your game has a huge potential if you solve the user experience issues, great job!
