Dark Souls but if it was impossible.

d3uced 2016-12-12 10:46

The dodge has I-frames and cancels the attack might be helpful info, it is possible :D
Thanks, for taking a look.

tauka 2016-12-12 11:53

Nice game, a little balance in difficulty would be cool though

dvorgaz 2016-12-12 11:54

Is there a way to hit enemies while not getting hit yourself?

slimabob 2016-12-12 11:59

Very challenging. I like the ability to vault over enemies, and it's cool to finally have a game where just because you have a big weapon- that doesn't mean you can easily solo a horde of enemies! Great work.

brickkid512 2016-12-12 15:24

it is very challenging. I would recommend a difficulty system with easy, medium and hard. Hard being the current version. Overall, I enjoyed it.

tartlegames 2016-12-13 01:25

really cool look to the game but it may just be too hard! I think if you make the player's attack much faster it would be manageable.

d3uced 2016-12-13 02:01

Just to clarify I made the game difficult because there is not much to it, in the hope people would play it until they got it. Once you figure out a plan of attack it is consistently easy. I have taken all this on board though thank you for the feedback.

bunn1e5 2016-12-13 07:08

I don't think this is possible?

ceosol 2016-12-13 07:38

Interesting choice for interpretation. This is very impressive considering the time frame. I don't agree with the difficulty. I love impossibly hard fighting games. Unfortunately, there was no life bar or real way to see who was being attacked until one of the enemies dropped or you died.

vertigon 2016-12-13 07:39

I was excited to hack through a robotron-like mob of dudes, but attacking felt pretty weal so there wasn't as much satisfaction as I wanted there. The AI was so aggressive that I didn't feel like I had much choice in maneuvering.

d3uced 2016-12-13 07:47

@ceosol I think the player wasn't scaled in the window properly for you, there is a health and stamina bar top left

Thanks everyone for feedback.

candycreep 2016-12-13 08:07

Wow, that was hard! But in a good way.
Nice work!

dagegen 2016-12-13 15:28

Dodging past enemies was very satisfying.
Personally I would have preferred a quicker or more impactfull attack.

zarkonnen 2016-12-14 10:15

OK, that was so hard I just insta-died each time I tried it.

demipixel 2016-12-14 23:45

I mainly just right-clicked while running away, then left click-spammed over the enemies hoping to hit who I could. Is this what you're suppose to do? However when I died right at the end, I had to go back and try it again. Perhaps make it easier at the start, then increase the speed (i.e. lower cooldowns and everybody moves faster)? That way the difficulty is the same (or increases) as you go through! Great game :)

simonhutchinson 2016-12-25 14:48

Extremely challenging, but a really impressive compo entry. Perhaps it could ramp up a little slower to give the player a chance to get a hang of the controls.

Great animations!

blobo 2016-12-27 16:04

Unbelievably difficult. If it started with just one enemy, the player could get used to the mechanics, before throwing in three, five, seven, ten, or fifteen enemies.
