It was hard to figure out what I was doing, but it was enjoyable after a bit. Wasn't sure if there was an ending, but I liked how it explored the theme. Nice job!

Cool idea. I liked that the people living in the house were monsters themselves. It was really hard and I don't know how far I got.
Great way to explore the theme! I don't know if there is an ending or how far did i go, and the batteries seen to go out too quickly. But despite that, i had fun playing it. Congrats!
@notpjriavs Thanks for the feedback - we put more detailed directions in the description now. There is any ending btw!
@boclow Thanks for playing & commenting. I hope you finish it sometime :)
@lrvstudios Thank you! There is an ending, but to get there you'll have to manage your battery life - the flashlight takes longer to reload if you let it completely die.
I like the creepy graphics, especially this poor cute monster girl who has to go down stairs, and first person perspective of going down the stairs, but I felt like the battery drained really quickly, and the reloading time was too long.
Later on in the game, when lots and lots of things fly at you, it felt way to chaotic to try to manage shining the flashlight and charging the battery. It wasn't clear to me at first whether I have to hold the right click to charge, or just click it.
The graphics looked really good and it was an interesting take on the theme but I felt like the game was a bit too difficult, at least for me.
I liked the concept, it was a little hard for me too tho, top marks for mood!
I love this concept, and the older style of art and music. I would prefer if the flashlight had longer battery.
Pretty good looking game. Could use a bit of sound effects but overall pretty nice
The battery drains kind of quickly, and the more you play, the more impossible it gets to hold it. And good job with the graphics!
I like that it's open-source, even tough I could't understand the code. Haskell seems to be for big boys :P
reall fun concept and I love the art. The game had some crash issues everytime I would shine the flashlight on the creatures. The art really reminded me of the Hugo series btw ;)
@heimy-spiel thank you! what sort of crash issues? did it log any error?
Made it to the breaker! Those stairs seem a lot longer in the dark  Cool concept, I like having to use as little light as possible, and hope that you are reloading at the right time. Fun jam game!
This damn flashlight goes out so fast! And who has such a deep, dark basement???
I read your blog post about the many faces of goblin girl, which I liked a lot btw. Playing the game the first time, I got a bit distracted by the big "Out of battery/Recharging" texts and giant bats and ghosts sticking to my virtual glasses, so I wasn't able to pay much attention to the status bar and avatar. But after playing a couple of times, I got better and I enjoyed the game a lot! I love the artwork, the intro scene, and that you added background music. Sound effects when hitting a monster with the flashlight would make it perfect!
Very interesting game. I enjoyed playing as monsters and thought the art direction was nice. I made it to the end on my first try. The gameplay itself isn't fun, but all the surrounding plot/art/atmosphere was good. Well done!
Really nice art on this, it looks really good. I made it to the breaker on 95%! Really cool concept, and the music pairs well with the atmosphere. Great work!
Congrats on a fun game - especially made by a husband-wife team! That seems like a fun collaboration. My wife tends to just laugh at me recording SFX and animal sounds during our jams :yum:
The old style of the game was really fun. I loved the artwork for the avatar and it sent me a nostalgia factor for the past.
Also... you guys BUILT THE ENGINE DURING THE JAM? IN HASKELL!?
