Is it normal that I can only see my character facing the camera ? So I can't see where I'm moving :/
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Clockwork

I purposely put the camera in front of the character instead of behind, I felt it would be better because the controls would be harder and more confusing. Idk though if it was a good idea in the end though. Thanks for the feedback!
I think you have rotated the camera the wrong way.
Yeah that's part of the game lol. I am just now considering that it wasn't the best idea.
Nice Game!
Just fixed the camera and a few bugs!
Lights effects are epic
Thanks
Is it made with Unreal?
Nice game overall, I liked the aesthetic a lot and the inclusion of shop was a cool idea. A few problems I had though: * The camera being as high up as it is was really jarring every time I went through a doorway or tried to move away from an obstacle. * The collisions were a bit off, if I brushed up against a wall or an obstacle it stopped me and I had a hard time trying to move again. My guess is if you collide with something you're cancelling out all movement, so if you were turned towards the obstacle even the slightest bit you couldn't move. Instead you may want to consider only stopping the movement in the direction of the obstacle. * It would have been nice to have a pause menu to generally pause the game but also to return to the main menu or quit all together.
Thanks for the feedback! The game was made with Unity and not Unreal. Also there is a pause menu... I just forgot to mention it in the tutorial, but you can press backspace to enter the pause menu. Thanks for the feedback!
Very atmospheric game) Graphics is good to and tutorial makes it amazing
Very moody, looked good and sounded good. I think the controls were a little difficult, things would be smoothed out a lot with a mouse-look camera.
Okay thanks for the feedback! I felt that I rushed the controls a little too. So I think I might spend some more time on them the next game jam.
Controls were quite clunky and I had a bit of a hard time going around, even after getting more used to them. It was also a bit confusing and I got lost very quickly. It would have been nice to have a clearer goal. Enjoyed the atmosphere and graphics tho.
Very nice and clean! You would have added more options for control
Okay, thanks!
Game very well done, I liked the fun provided, good job!
Great Job! What i liked most is that the 'lonely' atmosfere, the music and 'loop' gameplay are well defined in the game. The idea of 'slow time' is nice, but i can't see much use of that - means that have potencial and you can play a little more with that concept. I notice a little bug too, when i run and try to use the 'slow time', somehow my character ended up in limbo haha. Another thing that you can change is the pause key, or maybe you can mention what key to press in tutorial.
In other words, is a nice game! I hope to play an update soon :D
Thanks! I agree, there wasn't much use in my slowdown mechanic accept for escaping the crows. Also I totally forgot to put the pause in the tutorial. Thanks for the feedback! Also, I am not really sure if I am going to give that game an update since I'm currently working on some other projects, but we will see!
Agreed, actually, with others about controls, but art and lighting are really good. Nice job!
I also found the game really difficult to control. I liked the low poly models and animations but I felt like the post-processing was overdone to the point where everything looked blurry. I liked picking up the gears. The mood is established well and is the best aspect of this game. It's good for your first game jam entry, keep it up! Oh I almost forgot to mention but whatever that swirl-effect was on the level transitions looked amazing!
Thanks so much for the advice, I will totally use it next jam! Recently I've been experimenting with other forms of movement(I was previously using root motion to move the player). Thanks for all the great feedback! Also, one more rating and I'll have 20 Ratings!
Really liked the idea and atmosphere of the game, it was just a little bit difficult to control. Its a nice work and I hate that the crows can fly through the walls and ambush me, such bad guys xD
Lol, I know the stupid crows. Thanks so much for the feedback! Also, I hit 20 Ratings!
Very fascinating! Great job!
