I was not expecting it to go completely dark, good surprise! Your artistic backgrounds were really nice, I get that the screen goes black for the game but it's a shame not to see your art anymore.

Are the obstacle spawns randomized infinitely? I found I was able to stay up at the top of the screen for very long stretches with no obstacles.

Liked when it all turned into dark, it was specially challenging to stay alive, that was an interesting aproximation to the theme.

The increasing darkness is a nice idea. Thank you for your game

@mhorth Thanks for the positive feedback! The backgrounds are actually from royalty free websites I had found - I've linked those websites in the description if you are interested in using them elsewhere.

Also the obstacles are spawned randomly, though I may add something in the future that reduces the likelihood of extended clear spots.

The music was very nice. Though the concept of the meteors going the opposite direction of the ship is flawed. If you are approaching a black hole, chances are most other things will be approaching the black hole with you. The obstacles stayed in the first row for a very long time which made the start pretty boring. Not being able to see the ship made it extremely difficult to play. The concept of not seeing the ship is interesting though, I think a good compromise would be to make the meteors emit light so you can only see yourself when you are close to danger.

The challenge begins when its completely dark. Got over 600 points, the key to get a lot of points is to know that you are always on the left side. So it is playable, even in completely darkness, clever!

Visually appealing, great atmosphere, mood and music. Nice fonts and colours. Easy to play yet challenging when everything darkens. Overall great retro feeling game.

Simple yet enjoyable, Thanks.

Hi, when I tried to extract the .zip file I got "The archive is either unknown format or damaged" message. Audio really fits the game, background photo is really beautiful, but I was just missing few different meteors, one that emits small light while passing near you or something like that. Overall, nice game.

Interesting concept, cool how you have to guess where you are. I think it would be helpful if the meteors cast a small amount of light, so every now and then you could catch a glimpse of your position.

Where is my aircraft? haha. Didn't expect that. I liked the concept of turning "darker" as "deeper", but if you want to take this long in the dark, maybe it could be a powerfull add if you put some tiny light above the aircraft - or a power up, idk.

Great music choice, by the way! Reminds me a mix of "Tron" and an old "aircraft game" that i used to play, wich i loved.

I really enjoyed my time playing it. Wish you the best.

Nice job.

Great music, at first I thought the spaceship becoming hard then impossible to see was a bug, but then I realized it makes for a nice game mechanic! Neat idea!

Very entertaining little game

kohcepba 2021-05-09 08:16

This is what I like in jams - when 5 minutes is enough to can understand and evaluate game. Simple game with clear idea and vision. Thank you.

Verrry nicely done

Navigating without being able to see was a neat challenge! The graphics were pretty simple, but I liked the feel of the music a lot. I think the constant engine sound got less interesting after a while, maybe it could only make noise while you're moving up and down? It could also be nice to use a smooth gradient for the transitions as it gets darker, rather than the abrupt cutoffs. Nice work!
