LD45 — Start with nothing

I Wait For Your Word by weeping-rupee 2019-10-15T09:20:06Z

Thanks for playing my game the other day! I thought your game was awesome! I was able to finish the non-hint version without too much trouble. The first puzzle with the light confused me at first but the solution was a beautiful ah-ha moment and the visual effect is simple but unique and fun! I also did not understand the shield mechanic at first, I eventually figured it out but it was less of an ah-ha, maybe it could be signposted better that the shield avoids the light. The audio was great and built a satisfying lofi atmosphere along with the art. One of the more conceptually interesting entries I've played! I wonder if you could tease any interesting gameplay out of the "cursor is a light source" effect you have in there. Nice Work!

cakewalk by ohsqueezy 2019-10-12T07:57:16Z

I really liked the tone and the music! It was pretty hard and I didn't finish, but for a such a minimalist look you were able to create a lot of character!

LD 45 by Omeys 2019-10-09T09:26:56Z

I would like to play this when it is available!

The Whole Lot by onnofal 2019-10-09T08:27:28Z

Loved the graphics, wish there was more! I was expecting an overlapping mechanic on the furniture, that could make for tricky puzzles! The sound effect on the cat is great!

Palely by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2019-10-11T03:45:19Z

This was really cool! One of my favorites I've seen, it looks beautiful, it has a super interesting mechanic that made me want to keep exploring, and it had a good length for a Jam game! I would play more of a game in this style.

Cutey Berry by sylvie 2019-10-08T23:13:31Z

Very cute game, using thrown cats for platforming is definitely a unique mechanic! I couldn't figure out the basketball hoop level, but I had fun beating the others!

Swift Snake by darkcmd 2019-10-09T08:34:22Z

Loved the sound effects, the ASCII look was awesome, super hard! My entry also has a mechanic with a lengthening tail the player needs to manage, really cool to see a different take on it!

ModularArena by PepinoSMH 2019-10-10T05:01:40Z

I had fun playing this! I wish the pick-ups were more different looking from each other so you knew what type of item you were getting a bit clearer. I think you have a cool mechanic here!

TailWhip by JengaMang 2019-10-11T00:09:47Z

I have put out a bug fix that addresses the asteroid spawning on player bug. Thanks to all who have played and rated TailWhip!

Nothilings by Reo 2019-10-10T04:43:47Z

The narration was a really nice element, super challenging overall!

Return The Stars by BanJaxe 2019-10-09T09:08:09Z

Your game is really beautiful! The general atmosphere and tone is really impressive, specifically i liked the visual progression as you gained more stars and the damage visual effect is really pretty and intuitive. Well Done!

Naked and Nothing by summerjw 2019-10-09T09:42:14Z

Your link doesn't seem to be working!

Iskra by nelfin 2019-10-09T09:38:18Z

Not exactly a game but really really nice to look at, I would love to play a game in this style! Well Done!

Oh, the Connection! by Igor KinGamer 2020-05-12T00:16:13Z

Awesome mechanic for a puzzle, I would easily play a bunch of these types of puzzles! I played with the mouse and CTRL, personally I would have liked the next move to be highlighted on the ground rather than in arrow form. The stay connected mechanic was really cool, well done coming up with an original puzzle type for the game jam!

Last journey in the sand by squirrelsoft 2020-05-11T19:11:41Z

The style and layout of this game is awesome, I wish I could play more but there were a few bugs in the web build. With some bug fixes and maybe a bit more in game instruction on the controls/ui, this could be real sweet!

ViolAnts 2: For Queen and Colony by Prakkus 2020-05-10T17:19:13Z

This game captured my attention for awhile, well done! Ever since I played Sim Ant as a kid, I've always thought an ant colony is a great inspiration for gameplay. The game is very difficult, it would be nice if there was a smoother ramp up of difficulty, it would probably allow for more variety of strategy. Nice game!

Bab by Bamboy 2020-05-11T23:46:33Z

The graphic style here is really cool, nice visuals for a jam entry! It was fun chasing around the baby, but eventually it becomes a bit easy once you get the mechanics down. If the time limit was shorter and the danger items were more deadly, I think you have a cool game here, not just a toy! Well done!

The Last Raccoon by IceBox246 2020-05-11T22:44:00Z

This is so well polished for a jam game, well done! The quality of the animations, cut scenes, and transitions really makes this game more engaging. I wish there was more variety of enemy types, but other than that i don't have much to say other than well done!

Pet Sitter! by Sockyman 2020-05-11T22:11:04Z

Nailed the theme! Naming the pet is a funny touch, had to dip into the tutorial to understand the toy mechanic, maybe the tutorial and the main game could be merged somehow. Nice job!

LD46-Keep it alive by GHubert 2020-05-10T15:50:30Z

Catching and throwing the ball from the cursor is a really neat mechanic! I was confused at first when the ball didn't damage multiple locusts, I would have liked to cut swaths through the locusts. Also dead locusts or splats would be a good indicator of a locust hit, that would have clued me in sooner that everything is working as intended. Great job!

Memory Keeper by lismi 2020-05-11T19:19:07Z

This is really cool! Great take on the theme and and also a serious idea done simply. At first I thought the gravestone names would fade rather than the ghosts, that tripped me up. Maybe adding rounds of progressive difficulty as an incentive to progress. Good job!

Dream Rock by NoNumbersGames 2020-05-12T00:49:49Z

This is a funny concept, nice and simple. Some sound effects would have been cool! Some games don't need to be very complicated to be fun for a moment, well done!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

You Killed Someone by RetroSpecter 2021-05-18T18:14:58Z

This game rocks! I love the idea of a hidden identity murder game that is 100% text based. Keeping my answers consistent while trying to frame others is a blast. I loved the simple typographic art style and the colored text works really well. One of my fave entries for sure!

Untitled Space Game by tsuk13 2021-05-18T18:49:57Z

Really lovely! You were able to capture the loneliness of deep space exploration with very simple but well done art. It's nice to see a small story executed well!

Daive Dangerous by kpded 2021-05-18T06:27:37Z

Awesome game! Very impressive take on a "Lover's in a Dangerous Spacetime" kind of game, and the art is cool and colorful!

Press "P" To Fight The Final Boss by justking144 2021-05-18T17:55:17Z

Love the graphics! Nice take on the idle play genre, I think the name is pretty funny too. I would love to play a longer/deeper game in this style!

Terrario by Team-on 2021-05-05T21:53:47Z

This game has an awesome mining/crafting mechanic given the time limits! Good amount of content, I almost assumed there was no crafting until I looked again at the controls. I was confused after making iron why I couldn't make gold, having to choose the recipe for the smelter might not be needed. I thought some of the smaller details were well implemented, like the block-cracking animations and the physical interactions between dropped resources. Nicely Done!

10,001 - A space exploration game by tengusheath 2021-05-05T22:04:28Z

The atmosphere/sound design work together really well to create a vibe here, well done! I admit that I flew around and took on a bunch of aliens but I didn't find any landmarks other than Terra at the start. Maybe a mechanic that would point you in the rough direction of a landmark without giving you exact coordinates could be a good balance of discoverability and accessibility. The text around the ship was a bit hard to read. I really liked the layers of stars and the visual effect there, good job!

Void by mrosegreen 2021-05-06T08:25:04Z

Great music, at first I thought the spaceship becoming hard then impossible to see was a bug, but then I realized it makes for a nice game mechanic! Neat idea!
