Really interesting game! The difficulty spikes but the gameplay feels great!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → blob

Really interesting game! The difficulty spikes but the gameplay feels great!
Nice gameplay mechanics! Great work!
+ solid platformer + graphic choice is efficient
-difficulty, or rather the way the game communicates mechanics
Really fun game, it was very difficult for me though but the gameplay was nice
I didn't get that far with this, I think it could do with some more precision in terms of, in particular, knowing in advance where the blob is going to land. Either that or maybe slowing the character down a bit so you can make adjustments once blob has started hurtling towards you. That said, I really like the style of this, and the jump up from underneath mechanic is really satisfying when you can get it. Nice interpretation of the theme, too! Cheers.
Graphics is very nice, easy to understand. It was very fun during first few levels! Then I got stuck on the one where you have to jump on the blob, which is jumping on a spring. Very difficult to time it right, despite many tries  Very solid entry, well done
Aww, this is a really cool game! I agree that it gets really hard, probably a bit too fast, but after a few tries you can figure out the timing! Is it just me tho, or is the intended strat for the last level to juggle the dude all the way across then back again in one motion? I'm glad then that I found a way to cheese that level, juggling sounds like a pain (I just squatted next to them and reflected them to the goal). I like the aesthetic of the game, tho I do wish that some of the hitboxes were bigger, as bouncing dudes off of your head was very hard to time. Speaking of that mechanic, it took me a long time to figure it out, I sat on the tutorial level for head bouncing for a good five minutes until I stumbled upon the answer by accident (the tutorial could've been clearer). Otherwise tho, I really enjoyed my time with this game, congrats on the awesome submission!
@justcamh wow thank you! the intended strat was to park the blob in an infinite loop on the springs on the left, and then you open the door at the bottom right before releasing him, and then the springs on the right will help you lead him to the goal. and yeah i only had time for some levels, plus i think the only fun about it was its difficulty so i guess that resulted in a bad difficulty curve :p. about the tutorial i believe about teaching by doing it but i guess i might need something clearer n explicit than that symbol hm
@goutye thank you! i tried my best to make the blob movement not too chaotic and within a confined space but yeah i definitely can improve on the level design haha
@jofish thanks for playing! i think that the fun was also in the predicting of the blob's movement and also getting used to his speed, but then again im still trying to figure out what are the numbers to make my platformer code feel better. i'll keep working on that! and also, yeah the idea of this game sprung solely from that interaction, and i kept thinking of you pushing him up from spikes, and that whether the character dies is irrelevant.
@SP3sheep thanks! yeah i can really work on its difficulty curve. im glad you found it fun!
@hartvichio lol thank you! i like 1-bit and platformers sooo. and my tutorial stuff can definitely use more instructions, but i guess i need some more time for that.
@arefune thank you! i spent a lot of time creating the interactions between you and the blob
@congusbongus thank you! as said above, i wanted to get the fun from doing the tricky mechanics and having its difficulty high, but i guess with my few number of levels it spiked too much haha
