Great game. The genre mash up is perfect, the graphics are charming, the music is pleasant to listen to and the game play is solid. I really hope you expand on this as it has so much potential.

I love Match 3 and Connect $ so was super excited when I saw this. Seems great, but I have no friends, so only played against myself :(
Regardless, the game has nice graphics and sound. Nicely done :)
I really like the concept of this, but it's SOOO difficult. On the first level (after the tutorial) I would be doomed as soon as a couple of hexagons appeared. They would always be so close that they can reach me even if I land all my shots perfectly. Anyway, I still had fun and would like to see it expanded on. Nice graphics too
@Archimagus Yeah I know, but it was impossible to outrun them forever. Each step I move, they move too, so I can either run forever or... well that's it, each step I shoot they get closer. It's probably RNGesus screwing me with their spawn positions.
This was pretty damn fun. I didn't like the controls, but that's mainly due to having played so much StepMania that I had conflicting muscle memory. If you expand on this, please have controller support and rebindable controls. Anyway, the music was great and was largely why I kept playing
Really nice, complete package. Great submission
Cool game. I would like if there were more crazy options like shunting and power slides, but the concept is solid and the game is fun as is. Nicely done :)
I love break out style games and bullet hell so I had to try this. At first it was super hard, because by default I just hold shoot and try to stay alive, but I found I needed to be more strategic with my shooting in this. This surprised and impressed me. Nice complete feeling package
Nicely done. This was super cute, fun and well polished. I didn't fully understand the choices at first, but the core game play was easy enough to understand. If you continue with this, I'd recommend controller support and mirroring keys, so WASD act the same as the arrow keys. Great game though
I'm a sucker for anything Breakout based and even though I don't like standard Tetris, I really liked this. Nice work
This was super addictive. Even though it seemed way too RNG based (unable to beat, green enemies can screw you if they want to, etc.) it was still really fun and compelling. I managed to get to 7 BTW.
Really nice concept. I think you have something that could easily be fleshed out if you wanted to.
Just... Wow!
Amazing art, great music, the atmosphere was tangible and hit me right in the feels like a truck.
This was fun if a little too chaotic. Nice game
Really like the graphics, but damn is this hard. I could barely last 30 seconds.
Could do with some fleshing out (joypad controls, special shots, music, etc.), but what you have is a fun and really shiny looking game :)
Yo! This game was awesome! My only real complaint is that it was too easy. I felt like that when I thought you had to kill everything, then even more so when I realised you could let enemies pass. The main difficulty came from RNGesus not dropping power ups for nearly the whole level, which happened to me a couple of times. Anyway, I still really enjoyed it, the graphics are clean and exciting, the sound effects are fitting and the music (especially the third track) was really good. I went back and played level 3 a bunch, because I was enjoying the music (and it presented the most challenge) so much. Thanks for including controller support too. Great game, hope you take it further.
Cool concept, but I felt like I didn't have enough control over the ball. In most Breakout type games the ball bounce angle changes depending on the part of the paddle they hit or the speed/direction of the paddle when they touch. It seemed fairly static in this. Regardless, it was fun and creepy :scream:
I thought the idea sounded janky, but I love break out games so I thought I'd give it a try regardless. I was pleasantly surprised and glad to have tried it. The browser version was super slow on my computer though, no idea why. Anyway, this was super fun and the graphics and sound complemented each other and the game play really well
So glad to see controller support for games, so thanks for that. Small glitch where the high score and final score are missing the last chain you cashed out. Otherwise a fun li'l game
Absolutely love the graphics and the mood of the game, but I found the game play to be a bit clunky. I think trying to shoot to your side with projectile travel time and targets that move randomly was just too much. Still, there is definitely potential here. How about instead of shooting far away you shoot icecream at the cars near you and have a wider road? Or make the projectile a lot faster, or make it more obvious where the cars are going to move. Anyway, nice work.
This was really pretty and enjoyable, but the single fail lose condition made me gave up before I otherwise would have.
Yo, this is amazing. I love breakout type games, especially ones that add a unique twist. This was super fun and I genuinely hope to see you expand on the game.
This was pretty fun, if a little repetitive (but that can be forgiven,it's a jam game). I think this has potential if you wanted to expand the concept with more enemies, abilities, etc.
Cool game. I love video pinball so had to give this a try. The core concept is solid, though I feel the game play loop could do some tweaking as it just goes on forever. Maybe have target vegetables to grow per level or something like that. Nice overall aesthetic and the sound was very fitting.
Thanks to @BeardMancer and @Hyohane . Glad you both liked it. I would like to have had custom word lists, but it was going to be too much work in the time I had (at my skill level). There is also the issue that English has so many words that are in multiple categories (I chose very specific words that only have one each for this reason). I may well expand the game in the future :)
@pogo It must be my computer that doesn't like Chrome running Unity games then, no idea why it's got decent specs. Thanks for letting me know.
@Roka Josh I fully admit I kinda phoned in the music. There wasn't much time left when I went to add it and would have liked to integrate it better. Thanks for your comments
@Almax & @gamepopper Thanks for the kind words. I'm actually an English teacher, so this is good to hear
@Local Minimum There is a high score feature. On first run it doesn't show the high score, but after you've played once it will show the high score on the title screen. If I take this idea forward I will definitely explain the controls better. Thanks for the feedback.
@TomPK7 Thanks for the kind words :) The audio was pretty much the last thing I did and I'm not super happy about it. I will keep your feedback in mind for the future.
@sebastianscaini Holy shit, thanks dude!!
This was a really cool game. A couple of words I tried weren't recognised (assassinate and understood). The graphical style was really striking and this is a great take on an educational game. If you have time, check out my entry as it's also a word game, though a completely different type.
OMG, this is amazing! Wish the attacks had more musical tie ins like sound effects that combined with the music or something, but really it's not a big deal. Lot's of fun and I hope to see the project continue. Also, mad props for including controller support (with dpad AND analogue support no less).
Nice mash up of genres. This was a fun li'l game to play :)
Nice, simple game with really pretty graphics. The only complaint I have is how the text box takes up so much space. I would have preferred the portrait to be near the top and have the text scroll down without a defined box (or a more transparent one). Still a fun li'l game regardless
I really like the concept, but it's often hard to figure out if you are in the line of fire. If you added the ability to rotate the camera and trails on the projectiles it'd be a lot easier to play.
