10/10 Cool Graphics. I love to play it.
This game looks potentially quite amazing but I couldn't figure out how to play? And not really much in the way of guidance on this or the itch.io page. How do I attack/use the instrument for example? I might come back to this later, hopefully theres some more info posted by then!
Really cool game! Was into Stepmania and Audition online so the combat was awesome for me. Hope you guys keep working on this and it'll turn into a great game!
Amazing graphics, fun gameplay - like the variety of controls schemes. Nice music, overall incredible entry
I could not find my way back to the beginning once I had all the hearts... But this game is insane, how did you manage to create such a massive world under this time limit? The only problem I had was that sometimes enemies would cover up the music arrows i.e. I couldn't see what I was supposed to input. Other than that I would say this is a finished product! YOu could easily release this today. Good job!
Really nice game, the art is amazing. I felt combat was a bit dull, the actual attacking mechanic is awesome but I think I've got hit only once or twice, monsters just don't stand a chance. But the game does feel amazing. The dungeon black screen transition looked a bit weird to me(too drastic. One of my favorite yet :)
Amazing game, loved the art, the sound design, and the music, the concept was really cool too! Would like to see where a game like this could go; I think it has a lot of potential.
Awesome! was pretty cool blowing the critters mind with my sick guitar skills! One thing that got a little annoying was that the arrow sequence is little difficult to make out in certain positions, otherwise sweet little game. It's really impressive with how much you guys gone done here.
Amazing work !!! (I'm waiting for the release of The Mind Sword)
10/10 would rock again. No really well polished and a neat idea what else do you need oh great graphics :dvd:
Enjoyed the game the combat was ok but the inputs for the attacks were a great idea! Art was really good looking as well!
Great work, you really managed to achieve a lot in that time. It's a great idea and the attacks feel really satisfying. Also good to have a coop game in there. For some CC, we found the screen to be a bit too shaky when playing together, and some monsters sort of broke and wouldn't move.
Love this game really impressive for the time. Amazing concept, features and great artwork! Check ours too https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/mechasnek :)
I was a big fan of DDR back in the day. The music in this is awesome. Nice work!
I don't want too sound biased :smirk: but I follow your work on itch.io. As expected, this game is awesome  The art, the moves, the overall aesthetic and mood, jammed into a flawless experience. It's simple but not boring, can feel a little at the beginning making it more appealing to keep playing. :v: I'm just a fan now, hope to know more about your development process.
The art style and the music are awesome, I can't describe how much I love them. The game idea and mechanics are really great. I noticed one problem on my device where I can't play with "123" so I had to use the "WASD HJK" schema. I wonder if this bug is only on my device.
The visuals are very polished and cool, but I couldn't play. Do I need a numpad? My keyboard doesn't have one.
whoa this game is so rad! i love the art and so many cool characters! i like the gameplay, its pretty cool and i love making the music while fighting the monsters :P
Very cool and polished looking game! Really loving all the aspects of this game, including graphics, music, and gameplay.
One minor point, but I did find the whole world honestly a bit too big. It felt like I was just wandering about most of the time, and since it's honestly easier to just dodge enemies then to try to fight them, I kind of stopped playing the rhythm part of the game which is the best part.
I was also initially a bit shocked and confused by the boss transitions in the dungeons because they happened so sudden. Some form of indication would have been nice.
Anyway that's all minor polish stuff. All in all this game is very well polished. Great stuff!
Looks and sounds really cool, unfortunately I couldn't play it. It wasn't responding to controller. Keyboard input only worked when controller was disconnected, and my arrow & number keys are the same keys, so I couldn't both play and move at the same time. Would be nice if number keys along the top of the keyboard worked to play as well as the number pad.
Loved the game, unfortunately i don't have friends to test the multiplayer. And btw, does the game have an ending? Those 4 hearts are only to increase my hp?
There is no ending, and hearts doesn't increase HP, but will be need to finish the game ( the ending will be add on the post jam version )
It feels really solid when my notes hit enemy's.
That is so cool!I really love this game!5/5 stars!
Wow the intro screen caught my attention really quick!
What I loved: * The artwork, music & general style of it * The shopping mechanic surprised me, I figured I just had to slay monsters :D * The dungeons * multiple player support??? controller / keyboard layout????
My thoughts * Felt a little weird at first * Why the french
Overal fucking awesome submission. I really appreciate the work you put in it. Please do checkout my submission as well! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/keyboard-warrior
Thanks everyone for the feedback ! The post jam version is now avalaible on the itchio page, with lot's of bugs corrections but also more contents.
Genius game! It's a shame to low ammount of feedback on this game =( I really engoyed with visuals, audio, game mechics. All thing works together and very big work done within 72h, I really see, dudes! Multiplayer mode and AI - very impressive. Very very love locations transitions.
Have beat game two times and have some thoughts: 1) Dungeons not challanging. Every enemy pack too low even for start. I suppose enemys level, count and amount of waves have to scale of player's level. 2) Minimap is cool but not show shops - this thing big cons. And it be useful to close empty shops. 3) Can't got all content... First run I have clean only forest and zoo. Then beat the colorful smelling thing and have finished the game. Second run I specially don't kill these things and clean forest, zoo and half of sewer BUT! UNPREDICTABLE meet these thigs inside regular dungeons. What the hell is this? Game forces me to complete? REALLY DISLIKE THIS THING. This kills awesomeness of the game for at half, or more than half. I very dislike when can't investigate every corner and collect every item.
Anyway great work...
Really nice visuals, wandered around for a bit killing stuff which was fun, was not sure if i was meant to be going to particular places or something, could have used some direction. It seemed for the attacks you don't need to follow any timing or rhythm just get the sequence which seemed a bit strange to me, also then the guitar sounds don't follow the music which would have been nice. Really nice style though, a few things reminded me a lot of bro force which is no bad thing.
Really a fun game with interesting mechanics. Just once you being gang bang by multiple enemies it is hard to tell which input you need to do, may be it is wanted... Anyway, will play again, good job!
I seriously have no idea how you managed to create this within the short time frame of a game jam, but I am seriously astonished. It's fun, albeit a bit repetitive, I can see it work with a bit more content. Love the color palette.
Still didn't played the postjam version, but aside from not having a change to the quest giver guy after I got all the hearts, I don't have anything other than good game.
Hope to see this been expanded into a more complete game, possibly a commercial release if you guys want.
Pretty cool game! I had a lot of trouble with the tree boss at first since it seemed impossible to dodge its leaves and have time to shoot. But once I came back to it with upgrades it was rather easy. I really liked the art, music, and the unique mix of game mechanics!
Wow ! That was a very nice polished game ! Good job 😉 !
Amazing X1000^2, just added this game to my itch.io collection!! One of the best entries I saw in this JAM! I love the fact that every game I check out is unique in one way or another! <3
Great game. I just wish I didn't have to stand still while performing attacks.
This is so cute, I love the art a lot. I was a little disappointed that the music component isn't actually a rhythm game but that says more about my expectations than your work. :)
As a guitar player I approve this :D It's awesome. I think I was pretty good, however I wasn't really sure where am I supposed to go, neither I remembered where I've already been. That said I'll get back to it because reading the comments I realized there is a boss in the game.
Wow, fantastic work, can't wait to try it with some friends ! (also can't wait for The Mind Sword :D)
some sweet color combinations here pixel-boy, always jealous of you xD
Awesome game :)
OMG, this is amazing! Wish the attacks had more musical tie ins like sound effects that combined with the music or something, but really it's not a big deal. Lot's of fun and I hope to see the project continue. Also, mad props for including controller support (with dpad AND analogue support no less).
(Played and rated the compo version)
Well...there is certainly a lot of STUFF in this game. I think with all the time that went into the content you could have scoped it down and clean the experience up a little bit so that the gameplay has a bit more depth and walks you through things a bit more. The difficulty was pretty easy with one player. I got one of each color of hearts and then went back to the wizard and stopped (no game end). Minimap was the worst purchase, it didn't show me anything! But money was plentiful anyways, luckily.
Also, please turn on vsync for your fullscreen mode! The screen tearing is a bit annoying :) Also! I know I'm super weird, but I actually have a 5:4 aspect ratio and your screens aren't really letterboxed correctly -- particularly the opening narration sequence.
This seems like it could become a super fun multiplayer game :D
This is perfect! Well done :D
Played post-jam version and wow that was super fun. The boss was very hard and I had to go back and heal 3 times but eventually took it down. Pretty sure I played the game for an hr with a friend. Incredibly polished game and I can't believe you this this in such a short time.
Music is epic! Gamplay is super fun! Solid 5/5, one of the best games here
Incredible job! I am quite speechless with how much you managed to do in such a short time! Very well done :D
Great fun! I loved the art and the idea of mechanics. Congratulations!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
