LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Blast Me To The Finish by loyance 2018-04-23T15:16:23Z

Its a good idea, but it's still very boring. Also your score always shows a bunch of 9s if you die. Its okay, but nothing very great. Also the graphics are not really sharp. As a tipp: In unity, you can tell unity to render the sprites without a upscaling-filter. As a result, you'll get much sharper graphics. Also, think about telling the player how to play on the gamestart, or about adding the choise to use a controller to play. In unity, it's actually very simple: just use the input-manager and setup the joystick-buttons.

Nice job, there :D

DUNK EM UP! by lukbebalduke 2018-04-23T15:35:35Z

Such a great game! Really cool. That may be one of the winners <3

Crafty by Brackeys 2018-04-29T20:23:05Z

I really like the game and i really like the detail, that there are 41 items in a Ludum Dare 41-game. Also liked your making of :D

Combo Maker by TheMadPangolin 2018-04-23T06:07:03Z

Very nice game! But the controlls are a little bit strange... But i got this error:

Combo Maker by TheMadPangolin 2018-04-23T07:07:00Z

@TheMadPangolin It is a nice game though. And i resorted my comment, was a bit unsorted xD I had a great time, playing it. Thank you for making games!

Thrust Vector by pogo 2018-04-30T16:49:53Z

Definitely a nice game! ^^ I bookmarked your profile :D). Maybe i will check out some more games made by you. :D I really liked the simple but not too simple style of your game and how you managed the game to be turn-, but not fieldbased. Are there no sounds or am i just not listening to them? Because i am a "audiophile" and i really like the way music can change the whole game. But also without music: good game!

Rapid Fire by Anubhav Kashyap 2018-04-26T15:42:03Z

You did a very good job there, as i expected :D You got some very great looking graphics and models there (as i expected :D) and the gameplay and the leveldesigns are also great (i kind of thought that :D)

In Unity, you can also export to MacOS and Linux, or WebGL, if you don't want to export so often. Think about at least export your project to webGL for everybody, wich hasn't got a win-pc :D Binding webGl into itch is also very simple, so it won't cause a lot of aditional work to do :D

Welcome to Mars by NoAim91 2018-04-23T15:27:00Z

I expirienced a bug: Even if the building was done, the workers i asigned to the building apear to be still asigned. That causes the game to be unplayable after i assigned all three workers. Besides that: Good job, nice game, cool athmosphere with a simple but great gameplay. Think avout a after-ludum-dare-version! I really would love to see this game made into a full game, with fewer bugs and maybe a long-timed gameplay :D

Tennis Hero by JeffChen 2018-04-22T20:13:15Z

Very nice game! One of my favorites of this jam currently. Nice idea, simple and smooth movement, maybe some music and it might be perfect :D

Hey :D Thank you @vilix64 and @Memel06 <3 That means a lot for me! Well, i will take a look into my game, finding out why the game is freezing :D Thanks for your feedback :D

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-23T06:42:42Z

Thanks :D @dirtymoonz

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-23T11:25:55Z

Hey @Memel06 i thought i had answered about that post-ld-version, but seems like i havent, so yeah! There oft course will be a post-ld-version! I had a great time, developing my game and i think it will be even more fun to do that without a time limit :3

It might seem like spamming my own comments, but i want everybody to know, that i apreciate every word, may it be praise or critism, wich was and will be said about my game :D I won't keep writing this to every person, because that might get this comment section to be big to way fast for my german shool-english to manage xD

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-24T08:30:32Z

@ludum1118 and @ErikU oh... I am sorry about that bug, i may also take a look at this, maybe i need to lock the option to use the ability to fast in a row with acooldown (tickbased, not round-based.) I can use a tickcounter, wich ist actually included right now. It's just an addition to an if statement, wich will do th job. About 20 ticks should do the job, maybe. But i will also try to fix this without a time limitation, because this might be frustrating.

Edit: I found the bug. Will be fixed when i find some time to do that. It's a bad-placed for-loop i think. Right now, i don't have time to fix it (school). Anyway: Thanks for your feedback and bug-reporting :D

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-04-30T16:42:06Z

@pogo You need to get back to the spawn of this level. The first switch not only activates the door but also a second switch ;D Thank a lot for your words :D

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-05-13T19:32:46Z

@gafblizzard At first: thank you for your feedback :D I am going to do a after-jam version without this wierd "crash-bug". For this version i will create volume-sliders and also maybe (maybe) a "Not-Turn-Based-Option" :D

StrateJump by bluewingtitan 2018-05-15T16:13:35Z

Hey @Anubhav Kashyap thank you for your feedback :D I am sorry for the bugs, i will release a after-jam version without them and i am working on it just right now. :D

Maybe you don't noticed, but you neither uploaded a text, screenshots or links, but your game is published?

IDLE CLIMBER - Love Platformers but need your Idle Clicker Mania? Look no more. by HomoLudens 2018-04-23T06:40:41Z

Good idea, but maybe you should tell the player, what the different buttons and things do ingame to, because it takes some time to find out and not everybody (like me :D) is reading the description of the game, because he/she (in this case i) wants to play it blind. But anyway: Great job :D

RealTimeStrategy-Racing Game by Lecalat 2018-04-23T06:33:18Z

I realy like the concept of your game, as well as the gameplay itself. I think, the audiodesign could be better, but it is good for a jam game and you can't get everything to it's maximum doring 48 hours :D
