OMG. This game really sets the bar for my LD game testing process. I dont think I have played anything so far that tops this. Love the art, the level design (the map layout is good, not confusing at all), the animation, effects. It fits the game as well and not in an obvious way. GOOD JOB!!

jaydek 2018-08-14 06:35

Wow... this is amazing. Level design, visuals and audio came together well and the level of polish on this is great. The theme was catered to well in an exciting and unique way too!

langep 2018-08-14 06:47

Nicely done. I am impressed by the level of polish you achieved in only 72 hours. Initially, I was confused how to detonate the bombs but soon realized why they would just sit around.

vfabien21 2018-08-14 07:14

That was an impressive game indeed, with nice arts, a start, a development, and an end. The ennemy is really well done and fits perfectly with the theme. Congratulations ! The game lagged a bit in my computer though

outterest 2018-08-14 07:15

Amazing death animation. Really adds to the horror atmosphere

cenullum 2018-08-14 09:35

seems the artist of your team took it serious. nice arts for a jam :D

9ryu108 2018-08-14 10:13

wonderful game, i love the sound design and the dark atmosphere. we have make a game with a gameplay similar but more arcade.

jharler 2018-08-14 12:06

The visuals and audio of this game are amazing. Very well done! The atmosphere really gives you a sense of dread when you're being overtaken. I'm very impressed with what you've accomplished. I do wish you had chosen a different font though. The one in the game feels really out of place.

ignf 2018-08-14 16:56

Absolutly loving the art & design of this game. It instantly drags you into this "Journey"-like world, but with a very unique style that made me enjoy this from beginning to end. (even tho I did die quite some times...^^') Keep up the amazing work!

le-slo 2018-08-14 17:01

Wow! Great visuals and sound design. During a time I though the game was too easy, giving me too many bombs, I was mistaken, the final part of the game is really tense! I loved it. Incredible polish and game in general. For saying something that I didn't like: the font. Sincere congratulations!

fractalsunrise 2018-08-14 18:50

I really enjoyed the polish on this game; the graphics and audio are breathtaking! No other jam game has immersed me in its world so convincingly; well done! The controls were responsive and actions felt good and natural. And the frying pan was spectacular! I liked how he went through everything he was carrying until that was the last thing to use. Wonderful job!

thomas-olsson 2018-08-15 02:39

Thanks to everybody for all the feedback. I'm also curious to know if any of you had performance issue or found the game unbalanced.

erebus 2018-08-15 05:45

This game is awesome! Thanks so much for bringing it by the stream!

apples-mmmmmmmm 2018-08-15 05:47

Nice game! I really like the graphics, though the vertical movement (mostly downward) animation is a little awkward looking. The darkness infesting new areas has a wonderfully creepy sound and animation. The drop in to the area is a great way to feel like you're instantly put into the action. The tutorial is pretty good at teaching the mechanics. One part of the tutorial that seems misplaced is being told not to be overwhelmed after the enemies have already begun to expand. The charging area seems like it might take a bit too long, and possibly like forced cushioning. It's a great start, but it's a bit sad that by the time you're taught the mechanics, the game is already over. Great job on your jam entry, hope any of this was useful!

thomas-olsson 2018-08-15 06:20

@apples-mmmmmmmm , thank you for the feedback :pig:

saoi-games 2018-08-15 07:38

Thank you for sharing your game with me. I played it on my stream tonight at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames

I have rated your game, but all of my feedback was captured in the stream.

Stellar audio, music, art, animations. I'd expect this level of polish out of a finished game.

@thomas-olsson Performance is great for how it looks, but it felt I didn't get 60FPS. My GPU is kinda crap, though. The game felt balanced for accessibility, which tbh I believe is perfectly ok for a Ludum Dare game. Maybe the monsters should do a little bit more damage, it almost feels too long to die when you get trapped.

dragongino 2018-08-15 10:43

amazing entry, that I have seen so far here. you should continue to expand this game for a wider public.

zlou-kote 2018-08-15 11:09

This is very beautiful game! Fantastic animation, graphics and effects.

radow 2018-08-15 13:32

naver 2018-08-16 01:00

Amazingly pretty game. And sounding, for that matter. Even the GUI looks good!

sharky3188 2018-08-16 01:16

Great atmosphere, amazing art and beautiful audio. Amazing polish all round. Great entry.

ryofougere2 2018-08-16 01:35

Thanks a lot everyone !!!

ghaythche 2018-08-16 07:10

Thank you all for your support ! <3

justinmullin 2018-08-16 12:55

Very nice! There's a ton of polish here that you almost never see from Ludum Dare entries. I had to do a couple of double takes - nice looking cutscenes (the dropping in animation at the start was awesome), smooth animation, great sound effects. Combat felt visceral (though hitboxes were a little shaky at times), and there were just so many nice touches. Very impressive!

gamescalation 2018-08-16 14:44

Ho-ly .... this is an awesome little game. Feels very polished overall.

devio 2018-08-16 14:46

Well done, the Great game overall. I didn't really feel the theme until the last level. Other than that, Great game and look forward to playing more from you. The art was spectacular, Audio was there and felt a part of the game. Good job!

gleb-shishov 2018-08-16 15:02

You have a very cool game, I really liked the graphics and animations. I think the standard volume of music needs to be made quieter. When the filling of space began, the black blocks became really senior. How to get out of such a maze. Very interesting mechanics. If this game is finished then I think it can be sold.

sokuaisushi 2018-08-17 04:03

This game was really well done! I loved the art, the sounds, the gameplay, it was all really well done. Thank you for submitting it to the stream! The VOD is published on Twitch if you want to check out my review of your game. It was kinda hard to get the portal, but I managed to beat it

ryofougere2 2018-08-18 00:59

@gleb-shishov Thanks a lot for playing, sorry that a guy said our game had virus, it was just a stupid guy. We try our best to give quality creation and we really hope you liked the game. Sure it was in a short amount of time so, still a loooot of things to brush up. Thanks and good luck with your channel

ryofougere2 2018-08-18 01:02

@devio thanks for the live ! it is always nice to see someone playing our game, also it is porobably one of the best way to learn from our mistakes and do it better. So hope we will stay in touch in the futur for others of our creations. see you around

manbeardgames 2018-08-22 02:42

I was really impressed by the graphics and audio in this one, you guys did great. The animations when walking and attacking were on point. The game has a few mechanics that need to be figured out, but does a nice job at either explaining them, or allowing the player to figure them out naturally. Nothing really bad to say about this one except that I want more of it.

Here is the video of the play through on the stream. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/300334959

ursagames 2018-08-29 13:10

This was so polished it blew me away! I was getting some Bastion level of quality vibes here. One of my favorites out of the 200+ games I played on my stream! Here's a link to the vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297569760?t=02h16m33s

nervous-composers 2018-09-04 19:04

I knew I was in for a treat when I saw it was the same team that made Armless Kairo. I only wished there were more! It's very polished, if I were to nitpick, the collisions could use abit of tightening. Otherwise, great job!
