@juzley - if you are using outside assets, you have to enter the Jam, not the compo... one of the requirements is no pre-existing assets.

Windows 10 - crashes on start. Would love to play it, if you can get it fixed.
@Inusun Did you unzip all the dlls and media that come with it into the same directory as the exe?
@Juzley There was only 1 zip file and it has a bunch of dll files in the same directory as the exe file. There is a media folder that is in the same directory as the exe. The media folder has sub folders of fonts, sounds, textures, and tutorial. I'm going to try and compile your game from source to see if it works that way.
@Juzley After trying to compile from source it seems that the crash is being caused by font.c. There were some exceptions being thrown because of overall_surf used without being initialized. There was also an issue with the game_state not having the font set.
Game was really good, I'm actually a massive sucker for match 3 games and play bejeweled a ton in my free time so I spent quite a while playing this haha! I love the layered on mechanics of the shooting/being shot and thought it added a nice fresh twist on the genre. Good Job.
Congratulations on your first submission! I actually enjoyed it. With some extra time on your hands, a little bit of artwork and polishing it a bit better the game would feel way better. Great fresh idea of shooting in match 3!
Although it seamed to me that the game is too difficult (energy bar depletes very fast) and successful shooting IMO restores to small amount of energy... Or maybe a'm not that good in match 3 😉
In general: well done for one person project!

@MaxKlimenok Yea I had almost no time left to do any balancing, so the games are perhaps a little short :)
This was a fun little "match 3"-type of game. Sadly the time before the game ended was a bit short. I would also have liked some music in the game. But overall a very well made first LD game. Well done.

An interesting take on the match-3 genre, although no background music, it is expected from a LD game jam, but I had fun while playing it and great job!
Crashes on start(win 10)
@hugmugi17 I can't work out what's going on with the crash on windows 10 atm - especially as I'm on windows 10 and don't see the issue. From @Inusun's ealier look at this, it looks like it's crashing because it can't find some of the media (there's a bug in the font loading code if it fails to load the font which will cause it to crash), but I'm not sure why it would fail to load the font, assuming that the 'media' directory is in the same directory as the game exe.
Clever idea for the theme! It makes me think of the mini games in Puzzle Quest.
@Juzley Is there another font besides hud.ttf that you are trying to load?
@Inusun No, and if it's there I wonder if something else is going wrong with loading it other than it not being found.
Quite fun! I scored 2000. It's just a slight twist on match-3, but it's a fun one, especially with the graphics and sounds. I'd be interested to see what your bigger plans were, I bet they would make the game more interesting if you had the time. Congrats on your first LD! :) Also the game ran fine for me on Win 10.
Really unique concept. The shooting mechanic is really cool, and this is probably my favorite match3 type game I've played this jam. Great job!
Took me 3 games to figue out how to get off zero. Then I got to 1700. I felt like the energy gain from a bland swap was a little low. I feel like you should be able to tread water for quite a long time as long as you can keep on making matches.
Downloaded but crashes before I can play - windows 10 as well myself. When I run it in console the output is "Segmentation Fault".
I would love to play this, but windows 10 for me too.
