Another puzzle game by Geckoo! I really like the design of this game, the art style is really nice and easy to understand and the fact that you have unique sound effects for many situations instead of one generic "error" sound for everything is really nice. I have to admit that the puzzle was really challenging to me  it took me so long to beat that level with 2 adjacent red tiles and by the time I made it to level 10 (which is a feat of its own) I was so mentally exhausted I couldn't solve it . some of the puzzles are really impressive at being so simple yet so darn complicated! somewhere in level 7-8 I tried going back in time but the block didn't move so I was holding Backspace and getting more tries without losing progress which was weird lol. anyway great puzzle as always, this was fun and well polished for a jam game!

Really cool puzzle game! I wasn't able to get to the end, but I will definitely get back to it when I have more time.

The visuals are amazing, and the audio perfectly fits. I only found your take on the theme a bit too easy :D

Great job!

wheelsx 2024-04-16 17:30

Great visuals and music, the limited number of steps makes it very difficult.

le-slo 2024-04-17 21:21

Excellent visuals and weird setting! The game is super polished, congratulations! The mechanics weren't super interesting to me, the classical puzzles of rotating a cube to face a specific direction can be very fiddly, although you do manage to keep the fiddlyness minimal in this prototype. The fact that you have a very quick pace of introducing mechanics makes the game feel like there is no much depth to the mechanics presented, and that the game holds your hand too much. I would love to understand what something does just by experimentation, and it suits more, imo, the weird cryptic environments you make. I noticed you use backspace as the undo key, just saying that is quite usual to have it link to "Z" as well, although that is definitely difficult for azerty keyboard I guess. Again, congratulations on a very solid entry!

I always love to see a good puzzle game in the Ludum Dare, and this one is a great addition! I love the concept, and the artstyle sells it beautifuly! I think I ran into some bugs where I was supposed to be able to rotate the cube but it didn't let me. Then after rewinding and simply doing the same move it was possible. But maybe I just didn't understand it. Because of that I didnt get past the 4th level.

Great game though, awesome job!

geckoo1337 2024-04-18 16:41

@0x-void-x0 @rolly @wheelsx @le-slo @re-markable Thank you for your review. I did many stress tests with my project, and I did not find any bugs according to your explanation. Sometimes it seems to us that a move is possible, but really it isn't - because of a colored face or something else (no more steps available). I am checking each line of code trying to understand what you meant… thank you for your help ++

re-markable 2024-04-18 17:40

@geckoo1337 ohhhhh omg i think i never noticed that you have a limited number of steps!! That must have been what I did wrong. Hmm, then perhaps I'll try to finish it again later ;)

Thanks for the response!

rolly 2024-04-18 18:29

@geckoo1337 Let me clarify my comment: I didn't run in any bug or any move that was refused for a reason I didn't understand. I didn't get to the end because I didn't see how to solve a puzzle (but I'll get back to it and make it to the end next time). On the contrary, your game looks very polished and fair!

wouter52 2024-04-18 18:57

These are some complicated puzzles to create and balance! For me they are hard, but not too hard. Well done! Level 10 though... pfoeh... That one is veeery hard ^^" I had to stop after a while, I could not solve it sadly. When going to the level selector, I found out I had to clear level 10 until I could go further, which was a sad moment for me. Normally, when there is a level selector in LD games, players can play every level if they wish. Some room for improvement there I guess :-)

Also, I'm sorry: I did not really feel the theme in this one. The story is around a Goddess, but in the gameplay it is not really that apparent for me

The graphic and soundeffects though.. I love it!! Just the right mixture of retro / cyber and Geckoo in my opinion

lizz 2024-04-20 14:14

I finished it! And thanks Geckoo, I used what was in it xD I noticed level 10 was difficult, but because trial and error is allowed in this game and there being no time limit I felt 'rewarded' and motivated to play. Plus, the fact @wouter52 had been unable to get past it was fun~ Took me longer then I want to admit though, oops! I like the atmosphere a ton, its calm and all that. I just miss a bit more of context/connections between what moves you be doing and the summoning itself but that's nitpicking at a game In nearly played for 2 hours xDthx for playing.png

geckoo1337 2024-04-20 17:53

@lizz AMAZING. I thought that no one could finish it - and you did. I thought that the (simple) main concept was too hard, but obviously I was wrong. My favorite level is the 14th. Which is yours? Do you like the cookie at the end? Let me know if the key worked. I will upload the game with another. You played for 2 hours and for me it's more than a gift. I really appreciate your help. I wish you the best ++

lizz 2024-04-21 19:55

The cookie worked (thanks to my SO I knew where to use it) @geckoo1337 and as for lvl level 14 gave me a challenge xD I dont remember the solutions, more a trial and error at times. The playback instead of the dying function helped my mental state to keep motivated. Basically, it can be finished you just need to be not aiming at playing and rating many games. Some of the things require some trial and error if predicting and spacial awareness is not your thing xD

lereveur 2024-04-22 02:50

Another of your famous top puzzles! I didn't manage (yet) to get over 9th level but I will try it again later. As always, I like the mood and aesthetics you give to your games, the feeling is unique and personal - if only I could have tenth of your talent  Very well done!

kr4ft3r 2024-04-22 20:24

I couldn't go past level 8 due to minimum IQ requirement, but congrats on making a proper puzzle game with polished graphics, and original one too as far as I know. What exactly is the mathematical concept used here?

neowhoru 2024-04-23 11:10

I really like that game. I got stucked at level 5 but just i didnt find the solution. Really great polished style and smooth ambient music.

geckoo1337 2024-04-23 12:47

@kr4ft3r Mathematics is inside the core - inside the movement. Usually, developing a game under Unity, some use collider and/or RigidBody in order to check position in 3d space, interact with other items, moving, etc. Here we have nothing -> a large grid with objects, a large amount of List() which interacts with each other. It's a harder way to develop a game - not really modern, but this is my perception of the Language ++

neontropics 2024-04-24 20:22

Very clever puzzle game! I think my patience for these isn't the best honestly but it was fun tackling the puzzles and the vibe was great.

kallico 2024-04-25 16:11

No points theme from me, but IMO everything else is spectacular, the puzzles are pretty clever, nice take on geometric thinking. The first few levels feel a bit handholdy but imo necessary for a concept like this. Game play/UX is very polished, visuals look great, audio is nice for the puzzler flow state. Cool shader effects.

Вобше игра каиф, интерсно што вы згатовети в будешее! :blue_heart::yellow_heart:

trezark 2024-04-25 16:37

Really nice and interesting game with the right amount of difficulty. I also liked all the "digital religion" aesthetic. The only thing i didnt like is the white flash when you come back in time. I think it hurt the eyes a bit (maybe I'm just too fragile xD) But still a very good game ! Bravo !

dymino 2024-04-25 16:41

Amazing puzzle game. Some puzzles were quite difficult but I enjoyed them. Some of the levels did require a bit of trial and error but when I found the solution it was really satisfying. The graphics and music are also great. If you can, a web build would be nice because I know some people don't download games and I think everyone who comes across this should play it.

blaise-ebuth 2024-04-25 20:54

A nice puzzle game! The last level is still resisting to me though (But I'll beat it)...

The visuals, sounds and music are cool, and the gameplay simple and efficient.

However, the link with the theme is more than tiny...

A good game anyway. Good job!

EDIT: Did it! But what is the code we get at the end?

geckoo1337 2024-04-26 07:11

@blaise-ebuth code - key - game?

smidgens 2024-04-26 14:43

Incredible entry. Solid puzzle mechanics, slick graphics, and loads of content (puzzles). You even went the extra mile and implemented a rewind feature with VFX to match. Love it.

zimny11 2024-05-01 13:17

I love puzzle games! And that one is not an exception! Great puzzles, music and visuals too! I was about to say that "undo" key would be great, but after reading comments I see there is one... just not where I expected. As previous person mentioned, undo key is often (not always) under Z, at least in puzzle games I played. Anyway, good job with the game!
