It is very fun.
Great art. Intuitive to figure out what to click next.
Man... what interesting concept!. It has nothing to do with 'running out of space'... or... it has... i don't know. But the graphics are very cool and the sound makes you feel unconfortable (That i assume that was your intention). Neat! I would like to see more of your work!
Innovative and creative. The superb art and audio created a great mood.
Made me a little bit uneasy... Hope to see more of this!
@mattincho Thank you :) Well, my thought was for the visual/puzzle space to get very cluttered, as nothing is every removed, but I would have liked to have a few more "layers" to make it a bit more packed, so I can see if the theme is not really shining through.
best entry until now :)
Weird and beautiful at the same time ^^ Like you said it doenst feel like a game, but I like what it is. Still coudlnt make it past the part, where you can put the 2 fingers down :3 I like this entry, since its something completly different to everything else Ive seen so far. Inspiring it is :)
nice game, even though i was just clicking on random things it still felt fun to do it. and kind of creepy in a good way. nice job
Well, congratulations and thank you for this very unique experience ! I really loved it, we (sadly) don't see enough of these kind of experiences, which take very effectively the interactive side of games to create something new. I'm sure you could port it for mobile and extend the experience a little bit longer :)
The only critique I could make would be on the music : she's simple and fits well the mood but lacks variety (! not complexity), and could even more enhance the special feeling of the game with some other kinds of sounds (I know it's not very precise but it's always hard to talk about the music in writings).
Anyway, I hope I'll see more games like this !
Wow that was nice! It's really a change from the other games! Graphics and sounds feel really unique, the whole thing may not amount to much content in the end but I thought it was really polished and personal (if that makes sense). I'm very glad I stumbled upon this game :)
@biebras Thanks :) Was fun to make.
@d954mas Thank you.
@nillard Thanks! Was a bit worried it would be to unclear at times.
@tacohej Thank you. Thinking of making another, do like the idea of these "visual-puzzles" even if there not very challenging to play.
@d954mas Thank you, bet you have already found several that's better ;) are a lot of good games this jam.
@bluemirror Thank you! Put quite a lot of effort in making it all. If you want to give it another try I can give you the solution, was the very last part so its basically only the end-screen after it.
@jcmonkey Thanks, happy you found it enjoyable :)
@azathothep Thank! Glad you enjoyed it! Wanted to create something small and unique, that you can kind of just go through, experience, then move on. Hope to create a longer experience later on based on the same concept. Sounds in general is my weak point :P can see your point, but wanted at-least something to set a mood in the background.
@lucien-catonnet Actually wanted it to be longer, maybe even 3-4 more "stages", but time constraints and all that :P Glad you liked it! Thank you.
nice game man really liked it. But what had this game to do with the theme?
i think you can see the theme clearly in this game. it's differently presented than in most entries but it doesn't mean it's not there. aside from that i really enjoyed these little puzzles, good job! and the art is creepy & very interesting.
This is as weird as fun to play, congrats! I think you used the them in a really smart way :)
probably the smartest weirdest idea i haven seen so far its amazing
The graphics are audio are fantastic. They work really well. The premise is great too, it's a neat little puzzle game.
Unique! Doesn't fit the theme in mechanics but in aesthetics, and its beautiful. Really intriguing game, continue to experiment like this, please.
@hauo so how do I solve it? :D
@bluemirror Combine the two Pupil/iris's, place the egg at the tip of the fingers, click on the hands several times.
Wow, this was creepy. Very well polished and clean! Your art is great. Not sure what it had to do with the theme, though.
Strange but nice. The theme approach is interesting but mechanics are a bit simple and not really intuitive. Sound design is simple but that do the job. Nice graphics.
Wow that was an awesome experience, great job man!!! For real! :)
Woah! That was really interesting! Thank you for making this. Very interesting and aesthetically stunning. (If not a little unsettling) Congratulations on finishing with such a high level of polish! Looking forward to more experimental games from you in the future!
It is very fun. Cool art:)
@thedouche It's more represented visually then in the gameplay, I did want both, but I did not have the time to fix that properly without destroying the game flow.
@zozol Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it. Happy you got a feel of the theme, don't know if I succeeded that well, but it's something I think is rather unique at least :)
@isubka Thank you :) wanted to try something new to me.
@zayah0-0 "Smartest" might be a bit of a stretch, but I will take a compliment when I get one :) Happy you enjoyed it!
@rob-parker Thank you! Was rather fun to draw and record. Got the idea from some other drawings I made.
@le-slo Thank you! indeed, actually wanted to do both (visually and mechanical) from the start, but had to prioritize. Still very happy with the result.
@lyxil Thank you, it's represented more visually then mechanical :)
@vikfx Thanks! Wanted something unique and hoped the "puzzles" where easy enough to solve with-out help. Hope you enjoyed it.
@jorge-baptista Thank you! Love your game as well! Really want to try using claymation myself, think it would fit my style of games quite well.
@draperdanman Thank you! Really tried to focus on the details, having small movements and sounds and setting a mood through out the experience. Wanted it to be longer to be honest, but I wanted to focus on getting a high polish of what I had first. Thinking about making something similar in the future :)
really cool puzzle game, and very unique idea. it's pretty trippy xD
So so so good, it was a great gaming experience, and the art is just to die for. Everything works very smoothly and there is always the "ah" moment when I figure out how the puzzle works. Great great entry!
It was really interesting to get to know your way of thinking through this game, Best graphism and investement in it i've seen so far, Great 5. I always feel uncomfortable when i want to do this type of game but i know it will be a miss everytime, so i'm here making sure to let you know it's not a miss, not on me anyway !
Good graphics, the game is short but i really like the idea. Well done :)
Weird but cool submission. Very interesting concept. Good look!
Great palette. Don't ask me why, but I did a video of this interactive puzzle :smiley:
https://youtu.be/Uj8u72cEhlw
Short game, but i must say, your art and music mixed perfectly to blow my mind. Keep making weird games.
amazing art! puzzles were a little confusing at times - had to watch a walkthrough above (but I'm also terrible at puzzle games) - really cool overall
Amazing art and audio! Please bless us with a link to your twitter or wherever you share your art with the world!
I'm not quite sure what I played, but that was an interesting experience!
@mateusboga Thank you! glad you enjoyed it.
@nam-nguyen Thanks, tried to keep the puzzles rather easy, as I did not want the player too get stuck/frustrated to fast and miss later stages. Is a difficult balance as you get rather design-blind while making it if a puzzle is actually easy or not.
@anstabo Thank you! Means a lot to know it "works", especially as it's almost not a game? More of a visual experience, but I think it has its place :)
@oneiros Thanks! Really wanted it quite lot longer to be honest, but time constraints and all that.
@m2u-84 Thank you!
@icxon Sweet! Thanks, did not think about it, but might help some people in case they get stuck and just want to see the end :)
@estudios-y-producciones-gusa I plan to, have quite a few ideas following this one. We will see where it all takes me :)
@jonahsenzel Thank you. Spend quite some time with it, have a few other art-pieces I did before that inspired me to make a "game" out of it. Glad the video helped you to see the end! might be something that I should include from the get-go in-case some get stuck, or maybe ad a skip-system, as the main point is really not to spend way to much time on the puzzles.
@erikiene Thank you! Might start a Twitter then just to have something to dump my newer stuff at :) do have a blogg at the moment at: https://hauo.tumblr.com/ that I have stated updating again.
@undefinist That all it needs to be :) thanks for playing.
What an odd and interesting experience! The atmosphere that you've managed to build with those creepy sounds and visuals is really disturbing and unnerving. And yet I want to know what happens next, so I keep engaging with this strange being from unknown dimension. Great work.
I loved this, especially the art style. It reminded me very much of those old towlr games, but a lot more polished. Played it until the end, and had lots of fun doing so. Great entry.
Good stuff :8ball:
I felt like I was playing with art! Thanks!!
:thumbsup: ))
really liked the atmosphere - art, sounds, sfx, so cool.
W-what did I just play? Haha, surreal and fun! I lost the brain, accidentally dragged it outside the game frame and couldn't get it back, so I stopped at that point. Excellently creepy graphics!
@annie-owl I really like that description :) Glad you enjoyed it! Was hoping that the sound would add a bit more, was rather uncertain if I achieved a good effect as I'm very new to that area. Hope to create more "strange" places in the future.
@oddballdave Thank you! Happy you like it, will hopefully create more. Old towlr games? Don't think I know about those, do you have a example? Always nice to see what's been done before.
@webthingee Thanks for playing!
@andrei9 :eye: :eye: :eye:
@daria-s Thank you. Was fun to try and put everything together, was very nice to see all pieces fall in-too place :)
@wejna A odd thing I myself haven't really figured out what it became... Thanks for playing! Annnnd that's a bug! Ops, maybe should have added some edges to the play area to prevent such actions from happening. Thanks for the heads-up!
@hauo btw I had similar situation - I accidently almost dragged one of the teeth outside the frame :)
Wow, this was surely something interesting. This game is like a miniature and creepy version of Hidden Folks and games like this are always very entertaining to play. It was neat to solve those minor visual puzzles. And it's really interesting how it all unfolds in front of you from a simple circle to a huge almost fractal feeling hellish figure.
Awesome not so a game but an experience. Got some chills running down my spine while playing and the only problem I encountered was that I put that yellow thing outside the game view and had to restart.
Awesome game! I enjoy the art and mood of it. Keep up the good work!
Definitely unique, I like the feel the whole game (and especially the music) gives me! This game is just Super Cool, there is literally nothing else to say (except that it's a bit creepy and unsettling, but who cares)
It feels, sounds and plays uniqueness. The part where you have to place the teeth is the creepiest for me and also my favorite part. Nice work!
It may not have super complex mechanics, but it doesn't really need to. I really enjoyed the experience, each change felt as rewarding as it was disturbing. Sound design in particular really struck a chord (no pun intended): it was subtle and the repetition added up to the unsettling mood.
Awesome job!
Interesting. Graphical style nice, and I liked the "not-quite-a-game": lots of fun to be had just clicking around and seeing what happens. Well done.
Super engaging game, one of the most I've seen this LD, I'm impressed. It reminded me of Grow where it was just a puzzle box and the unlocking of parts just kept driving me forward. A lot of games you can just play a few minutes and be like "oh okay, I get this game. Next." but your gameplay and presentation just kept surprising me. Great job on a really unique entry!
@detectivelosos Thanks for the tip on Hidden Folks, really like the look of that game. Thanks for playing! As you mention, it's not a game to be enjoyed for its mechanical complexity, but rather a short visual experience. Its always nice to hear a more detailed view of how someone else playing it, as you get quite "design-blind" after working on it yourself.
@zicboy Thank you!
@killing-kitty Thanks :) I did not realise it got rather unsettling in till long after, it was honestly not something I was consciously aiming for, rather happy with the result nevertheless.
@velvetlobster Thank you. Returned to the teeth part several times during the making, as at first it felt very problematic to solve it, as had no real visual clues on what tooth goes where. So I added the rotation and proximity lines to make it at-least a bit less frustrating. Also one of my better "solve" effects I think! With the sound and particle-effect.
@ithildin Thanks! At first I had some ideas to make a bit more complex puzzles (that was more "puzzle -like" to begin with), but I felt It would really just take away from being able to explore the visuals at a good pace. Happy to hear it might have been the correct choice. The sound was quite a challenge as I very new to it, and is, as you say, rather a lot of repetition, but it's great to hear it seems to work :smiley:
@digital-bacon Thank you! :smiley:
@peachtreeoath Thanks for playing! Never heard about Grow, so shall take a look, always fun to see how similar games that have been done. You kind of hit the nail on the head what I hoped this game to become for this jam. For jams I have felt there is just that much time to create something, and I think a lot of ppl just wont take (or have) time to test a game for a super long periods of time (as well as the games themselves might only scratch the surface of what they can be, many use a very similar base-mechanics etc).
So my main aim was a game that can be fully absorbed as a complete experience in one sitting, thus I came to make something: short, rather easy and a "mechanic" that did not require you to learn anything more then doing (somewhat) logical observations and actions, all with (obviously) a more visual focus. I do like the result, and doing some plans for another game of a similar nature.
Really loved the art style of this game, because it really suited to my taste. Great work :D
Wow wonderful graphics and neat experience overall! <3
such a weird puzzle game, I love it! :heart:
the creepy strange mood is excellent, the graphics and the sound design as well, I really like everything about it. I wonder how you came up with that sequence of "stuff" that I saw on the screen :smile:
Anyway congrats, It's an excellent entry!
Really interesting experience and unique art! Thanks for sharing your game with my stream awhile back. Your game was played around 5:19 into this vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299925225
