Is there a non-Mac version?
Windows and HTML5
Can't you export it? I do not own GameMaker:Studio 2
Kindly exported by @nnnikki
Can't play it because I don't have GM2
I really wanted to play your game, but I won't download a GM2, I'm sorry, just to far beyond the point of inaccessibility for me :(
Amazing art style, 5 stars for graphics definitely
Good Job!!!
I don't have GM2, so I can't play. Please export it to WebGL or Windows that all people can play.
Could you build it for Windows?
I can't play it.
Well, I have GM2 so I could play your game. It's a bit unfinished I must say: the collisions don't work well (you can get stuck in the blocks), once you collect all the coins nothing happens, the character moves too slow... There is definitely some work to do. I looked at your code and I can see myself when I started, so I encourage to continue to improve your skills. Keep coding!
Really interesting !
Shame really that you only made it for a game maker build, as this reduces your demographic significantly. Maybe use a different game engine next time or do an export build.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/16t175w2nlb89zm/Running_out_of_space.zip/file I exported it for you! :hugging: I think that you should check out [Shaun Spalding](https://www.youtube.com/user/999Greyfox)'s channel. He got me into GameMaker and brought me where I am [today](https://nnnikki.itch.io). Also, I recommend checking out [Mark Brown](https://www.youtube.com/user/McBacon1337)'s videos about game design. Keep learning!
Thank you @nnnikki, you are very nice.
Good attempt. There are a few issues with the collision, where the character can walk into the side of platforms. Would be good if the character went up with the platforms. Were the platforms supposed to go up or down? Some good sound effects, which fits well with the art style.
Yes, the ground is supposed to do that. I have had issues with horizontal collision due to the larger width of the front facing sprite.
Played your .exe version of the game, runs pretty well ! That's a good take on the theme, and I'm pretty sure you did lack time to actually use this game mecanism to create level with it. I appreciate the fact that you probably made the art by yourself, eventhough it's not the best ofc but at least you did put some effort in doing it and that's very cool from a solo jammer. Game is a bit buggy but hey it's running, I had similar issues with GM2 while trying to code platform game myself so I can relate haha. One last thing on this prototype : I think you could slightly lower the sound, it's a bit too loud. Good job !
@arcus Nice attempt colision is a little off. Liked the visuals.
So slow, you can speed up the gameplay huh?
Cool prototype, good job !
Interesting idea! I like the look of the player. The collision is definitely off but that's something that can be fixed up after the jam. I think the movement speed should be faster and the audio turned down as well. Is there a purpose to collecting the coins? I got them all but nothing happened. Good job!
Nice work on keeping with the theme! The menus and GUI were bit weird but other than that great work on finishing the game! Can you check out my game as well? Thanks.
I got all the coins! Nice job on the coding for the falling blocks, though I was able to clip into them easily, but jumping repeatedly seemed to solve that. The player also moves very slow, maybe speed it up a bit? Overall it was great. Nice job.
pretty neat game. what's the T used for?
T button doesnt work for me, and the goal wasn't clear to me what I needed to do after getting all the coins. Agree with everyone about the collision, and the sound effect is a bit too loud. Leave that aside, it's not a bad entry at all. I see that you spent time on the graphics and it looks much better than my programmer art. I would recommend maybe spending more time on the mechanic and a bit less on the graphics, because then you get a good idea with a lot of feedback out of a jam instead of a simple game mechanic with lovely graphics and not much to add to post-jam. Anyhow, great work, see you in the next LD!
Nice game, Love how everything is balanced! Good luck, Don't forget to take a look at ours if you don't mind and see what it's like when we just focused on graphics in this game jam! Game Link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42a
