guladam 2018-08-15 09:53

Wow, just wow. What an amazing concept and execution. Nice interpretation of the theme, I felt the weight of every decision on my shoulders... an impactful experience.

I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't let Mr. Gaylord in though. :'(

Awesome, awesome job guys!

honey 2018-08-15 09:53

Guys, I can't see any papers in the itch.io version, which makes the game unplayable, unfortunatelly :(

sachay 2018-08-15 10:02

@honey ok, thanks for letting us know, we'll try fix this problem

le-slo 2018-08-15 10:04

Incredible! I've just made a collection on itch.io to remember to play this game later. A lot of content and interesting/meaningful decisions. Found some bugs, undefined days to stay, numbers written in strange places, but nothing that spoiled the game for me. Great job!

namnam 2018-08-15 10:07

Cool game with a very special mood. Kinda paper please-like.

honey 2018-08-15 10:13

@sachay just to clarify, I'm using Google Chrome v. 68.0.3440.106, on win10 PC. If this helps..? Anyways, keep it up! :)

speedysloth99 2018-08-15 11:18

I didn't really understand how do do some of the things, but the game has that same emotionally gut-wrenching feel that I got when playing Papers, Please, and the graphics and audio were very well done!

paden-shorey 2018-08-15 13:04

Some notes while playing: - it's not obvious that the home screen is the actual game (looks like a screenshot) - I wasn't sure what to do at the calendar page - i find the bed screen hard to understand (I'm not sure what the numbers represent) - I found myself seeing the same patients over and over (maybe add a random patient generator or something to keep them unique?) - I really like the graphic style and atmosphere of the game - a few words mis-spelled (contry should be country, fot should be for, ennemy should be enemy) - telling me someone was murdered is interesting, but I wish I could do something to try and prevent it/figure out who it was and kick them out - i wish at the end it told me how many patients I managed to save/heal in the hospital

Amazing game! forces you to actually think of morality. I haven't seen such games in a long time

maoap 2018-08-15 13:12

Really interesting approach to the theme :) I like this game, well done

sachay 2018-08-15 13:19

@paden-shorey thanks for your comment, you will work on more feedbacks and debugs.

noah-beckman 2018-08-15 17:54

this game is cool! It sets the setting well and implements the theme into its core mechanics. This is not only just a game but a test of morality and ethics also. I think this game could go even further with more instruction in the game. Overall Great job!

lyxil 2018-08-15 22:11

Strong Papers, Please vibe here! The graphics were really charming and really set the mood. A suggestion would be to make the ending have more impact. It's a really solid game you have in the time limit :)

erebus 2018-08-15 22:52

Great stories in the game. Good idea, hope to see it move forward. Thanks for bringing it by the stream!

fluffy-kaeloky 2018-08-16 14:05

I really like the art and the mood of the game reading the story of each characters. Good job !

bracula 2018-08-17 10:27

This is quite a nice game, but I played through the entire first time without knowing that I could check the bed space. I don't even know if it had any effect on the game. Also, there were some elements that were too similar to Papers Please to make it only an inspiration - especially when you're trying to make a moral problem, it's important that that major part is original. I do like the message and the way it fits the theme, though.

laura-angel 2018-08-17 15:34

Nice game. My team actually thought about an idea very similar to this one at the beginning, so it was fun experience how other team developed it! I have a few problems tho, at some point I had to reject every patient because if I tried to accept them the game just kept sending them back to me. Also it would be nice to have a better understanding of the "hospital screen", like show what the numbers under the beds mean, how much money do we spend on every patient and such, also the calendar was a little bit confusing since I could click on any day. Also, a character generator would be a great idea since at the end the same patients kept coming back. Anyway, good job!!

rodobodolfo 2018-08-18 04:18

I really like it! I admit I did not completeley understand the bed/calendar/money mechanic but yet I enjoyed it very much deciding who will be treated with just the little text exerpt as a deciding factor. I found the art really good and the music fit. Great job!!!

mammabouter 2018-08-18 09:52

Sorry I don't like reading games. Interesting and different concept.

jcwelgemoed 2018-08-18 09:53

Not my type of game but a nice take on the theme. Makes you think about choices and creates mood.

axoona 2018-08-26 14:45

interesting concept and take on the theme. the artwork and audio fit the mood very well.

Nice featire would be to know at the end what happened to patients I didn't save, and how to prevent the murders

yetman 2018-08-27 19:48

Great and extremely sad game. I mainly played it more as a moral dilemma test and less as a resource management game. Since the bed seems to be enough though most my play, I focused mainly on deciding who I believe to deserve a bed and who don't. The music and art were totally fitting the mood of the game. I think an introductory job tutorial would be helpful since it took me a few days to discover how to see beds and I was confused on the first time the calendar appeared. I am still curious about who killed the patients so I will probably play again. Overall, great job.

cristihkj 2018-08-27 21:35

Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D

rahim-pxr 2018-08-27 22:10

Hey ! Liked your game, it reminded me a lot of another game that has been made during this jam (Tirage, if you ever have the chance to play it), that basically took the same idea around curing people and managing beds.

Your game is pretty good, I liked the music and the playscreen with papers switching is very nice. graphics are good the music fits in pretty well.

I think there are some issues that you could work around :

- you made a very realistic interface, I mean the more realistic you could get, and it fits very well into the game, but we still lack some indications. I don't know if the money on the top left is what I'm going to gain from curing a patient, or what I'm going to lose ; is it what the patient is bringing ? I'm still a bit unclear about it so I just played the game and focused on the story and overall mood. A tutorial would probably help for this, told by the character so that it fits right into your idea of a realistic interface-game.

- I feel like you could have elaborated a little more on the backstory of the game during war : giving fake names for country or conflits, fake name for troops or stuff like that. It would help the player to make choices and to think about the consequences of their actions !

That's all feedbacks I can think about. Thanks you for making this game, pretty good job on the mood you created with it !! Bravo :)

lamossus 2018-08-28 07:47

So the enemy of country tried to go to the hospital and I rejected him. Then some soldier came and said that I let the enemy in but can fix my mistake now and I let him in. Then another enemy came in and gave me money for saving the spy. I'm pretty sure it's a bug. It's also weird how your money can go negative and I think the money management is a bit too unforgiving. There also some typos in the game.

Other than that I think the game is great. The idea is very interesting and I would like to see where it goes if you plan on continuing development. The graphics are also really nice and add a lot to the atmosphere.

lastleaf 2018-08-29 16:57

The game brought me a depressed mood. Nice work! The graphics and audio fit the mood very well! I really enjoyed the concept. Hope you could develop further.

When I first played, I did not find the bed interface until a week passed. Also, other parts were not easy to understand. There should be more detailed intro about the interface.

renier 2018-08-29 22:25

Really cool idea loved the art and patients! would have loved a small tutorial but other than that well done

conk 2018-08-30 11:40

Great game! Wasn't too difficult but I sure enjoyed the twists towards the end but they did little to hinder me. I don't know if you have things going on under the hood, but a morality stat/meter would add a lot more depth!

darkguardsman 2018-08-31 17:36

Not my style of game but has a good quality too it. I think this game would do well in the same groups that play papers please. Good job
