This is really great. Love the angle on the theme... and the Tetris gone flaming idea is just :fire: (pun intended). I really gotta check out this Pico8 thing. So sweet and retro.

Really good game, simple concept and mechanics but I couldn't stop playing! The use of twigs and logs for different types of fuel works well and is intuitive to understand, even if it's hard to plan around that when the new blocks coming down are random. But that's part of the challenge when playing! Loved the graphics, overall great job

Very good and interesting game! The idea of Tetris is immortal. Great work!

New take on an old classic. Couldn't beat it but got sucked in, had a huge fire in level 7 and lost it right after. Nice work!

Great game! It took me a little while to understand you have to put pieces down quickly to keep the fire alive, haha ^^' And you really did a great job on pixel art considering the Pico-8 limitations!

The ruleset felt great learning, the playthroughs became more enjoyable with each loss, and the art choices were great within the restrictions of PICO. Playing without sounds didn't take much away from the experience. There didn't feel like there was enough speed difference from normal drop and pushing down. When I was playing and found a good rhythm it looked and felt like dancing fire on the screen.

This has been the best use I've seen so far of using a "Keep the fire alive" takes.

Interesting concept! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/POu9WBNgI08

Hey, nice take on the theme! I really like block falling games and this was a very inventive variation. I'm not sure why the game started directly in the level 10, so it was difficult to plan ahead, but after a couple of runs I had everything figured out and was pretty good at it. I actually have to say that the game is actually a bit easy, I got to the point were I was handling everything with no problem, and after reaching 250000 points I got a bit bored. My strategy was try to put always the water in the boundaries and the rest in the middle, this way everething balance nicely without overpassing the half of the board. The down key was a bit awkward too. Apart from that I missed the excitement of forming combos, not sure how you could do it with this mechanics, but it is always a good way to keep player hooked and add depth to this kind of game. Really fun game, really, one of my favorites of the jam so far and that with a polished more developped version I would sure be hooked for some days!

I saw a GIF of this from the Warpdoor Twitter account and instantly loved it. What a brilliant idea! I felt the fire spreading / going out was a little obtuse, but maybe I was just being dumb. I liked the art as well. Great job!

I really love this game! The concept was great and really fit well with the theme. It's too bad there is no sound, that would really add to the feeling. I ended up playing this for quite a while and got to the point where I felt like I was on the very edge of maintaining control of the board, that satisfying feeling all great puzzle games of this type give.

This is cool - it's a fun take on Tetris!

It would need some more sound effects, maybe some more visual effects, a combo system or more clear scoring system and some awesome tunes to really elevate it. For the kindling and logs I just treated them the same and put them close to the fire - it's a bit hard to tell when you're playing good or bad.
