I like playing the game a lot, the ugprades are innovative and fun, exploring the level is fun as is combat. These are some of the flaws: At first it was unclear that i was supposed to go into the corridors, i thought that the blue lights were enemy spawnpoints. The player's orientation is not always towards the mouse, if mouse doesn't move and the player moves, but this is rarely a problem. It is difficult to know, what amount of damage the enemies deal, so i got one shot by one enemy even though i had 10 hearts, because i didn't know, how much damage the enemy would deal. It's a really fun game though!

This game is really good looking. The Sounds are in compare to the graphics even better! An explore Game, which I hadn't really seen in LD44.

jickamangah 2019-04-30 12:43

I love how the game actually has a learning curve. I only have 2 issues. 1: The bullets don't always go where I'm aiming which makes shooting occasionally frustrating. 2: Once I mastered parrying shots, the game became too easy, if there were higher level enemies that would make the game very fun to keep playing.

After some time I had enough life and upgrades that i would never die anymore. Maybe make emenies more difficult over time

jsec 2019-04-30 12:45

Its nice little game. I love this style of graphics (was aiming in it myself). I got problem with starting web version, it waited for space but it did nothing, nneeded to play other version.

A fun game - I liked the procedural level generation and how the map expanded as I moved through the rooms (though I did end up having an enemy spawn right next to me as I entered one room). It felt like the enemies took a few too many hits and the powerups felt somewhat rare, but the graphics and audio were simple yet nice. I did also notice that the aiming seemed a little off if I tried to shoot while moving, but it felt more like a bug somewhere than a design decision. Nice work!

This game is cool! Good feeling, good controls, the upgrades are nice,... I just had a bug, it was impossible to enter my name for the score :'3

Ok, so there is a lot of good work here but there are some things that could have done better. Some thoughts:

-The level generation is great!Fits very well the minimal aesthetic. And loved the minimap, this was the best.

-The enemies sometimes appear too close to the player when a room is generated. Could rooms be bigger so there is more space to create interesting situations. Also the maps are a bit big, a turbo mode for backtracking could be necessary.

-There is an excess of particles and screenshake. The former specially for missed bullets, if that bullet made nothing why so much visual feedback?

-The range of the enemies should be the same that the visual range of the player, moving slowly let you kill enemies without them noticing you. You can also change the state of the enemy when attacked.

-The game is too easy (I quitted with 600 health), you can simply fly fast around rooms without killing enemies, searching for yellow hexagons (there are a lot) and rooms with upgrades. This actually fitted with the happy music since there isn't much tension in the combat.

-What floor/galaxy/place I'm in?. The first time I touched a purple hexagon I wasn't sure if I was progressing or the game restarted, some feedback here could be nice.

Good work!

This was very fun! I feel like a LITTLE enemy variation would have been good and a boss floor could break up the monotony but those are things I'd only realistically expect if it were a full game. Great work! Played this for way longer than I expected to.

malkiman 2019-04-30 13:22

Well done! Was actually very fun to play cooperative (one moves, the other shoots) :)

flywolfe 2019-04-30 13:27

The visual effects, feedback, and gameplay were all stellar! You did a really great job with this one!

Also, I can't seem to submit to the leaderboard, and my score stays even after death.

valden 2019-04-30 13:29

Nice little rogue like. The keyboard+mouse controls were a bit janky (at least on the web version), but the gamepad worked fine. I found it very challenging. The graphics were very simple yet clean. Well done !

robotgandhi 2019-04-30 13:50

The absolutely best time I've had so far in this jam. Not only is the game sleek, responsive and stylistic, but it's also complete mayhem once you grab a couple upgrades for your shield. After maybe four levels I could constantly hold the shield up, and after not too long my screen was [nothing but this.](https://i.imgur.com/Rct6QLo.png) I felt like I was having a broken Binding of Isaac run.

I spent far longer on this game than I planned. Very, very well done. The first true 5/5 I've given. Keep up the good work!

This is certainly one of the best games I've played this LD. You had a style and stuck with it, and little things like the fish eye effect really bring that out. It's cathartic to see things explode, and I'm filled with little schoolgirl-like titters of glee when I see a golden barrel of health or a room with upgrades in it.

I was very close to turning it off straight away however, because I got to the next level without upgrades because I didn't know there were any or what the teleporter was before I touched it. Once you've got the skills down and got plenty of upgrades, about all the game has up its sleeve is "open door, enemy straight away in your face, free hit". it needs something like a boss battle to really top it all off.

Despite all that, I was playing for ages, so I must've really liked it! I gave you 4.5 Overall stars

Oh my, the game was fun to play! The only thing is, I haven't figured out how to activate shield (playing on my Mac and somehow, RMB just didn't work even though I purchased a shield). And at one point, I couldn't finish LVL 2 because suddenly, the game locked and behaved as if I was always pressing RIGHT, so I couldn't move anywhere :( But still, I had fun and enjoyed playing the game as it was challenging enough (and man, those exploding "barrels" were satisfying!), and exploring the map made me happy. The graphics, the music, level design, I liked it all. Good job! :)

saucygames 2019-05-01 20:42

Loved the arcadic feel with the post processing felt like i was playing an asteroids roguelite haha.

2019-05-01 21:11

Amazingly good!

Would greatly fit "Ridiculously overpowered" theme, have it been chosen :)

nandon 2019-05-02 01:55

Really like the music. Gameplay is fun.

landosystems 2019-05-02 05:24

Really liked this one. The only thing I can think to nitpick is that its tricky to deal with offscreen enemies, and with the cramped spaces and fast projectiles, its a bit tough to dodge. Regardless, the art quality is simple and clean, with nice effects and fitting audio. The crt distortion is really fitting too. Great work!

kukareru-sekai 2019-05-02 08:02

Really enjoyed this game. Couldn't play it all too well because of my trackpad and at one point my little ship kept moving to the bottom of the screen. I love the graphics and music as well. Good work!

rgarbati 2019-05-02 19:26

Nice shooter. And i like the music and minimal graphs. Well done
