Fun and simple. I couldn't make it past the 3rd level (I could barely make it to the 3rd level lol) but the levels I played were entertaining. I didn't realize I could kill the enemies by jumping on them at first and only figured it out by accident. It certainly came in handy once I realized though. I used what might have been an accident in programming to make it past the 2nd level. What I did was continuously get the closest battery and allow myself to die immediately after. When I respawned, the battery was back and I would repeat the process as quickly as possible. It made it a lot easier to make it to level 3.

Overall, like I said in the beginning, this game is fun and simple. Good use of the theme too.

Thank you. That was left in on purpose since I felt it was a little too hard without it.

not bad, but the controls were a bit loose for my liking, still pretty solid. maybe add more weight to the controls and this would be a lot more fun. noe the less still a good job

mikronaut 2017-07-31 21:03

While I love the idea, the control scheme was very difficult for me and sort of ruined the fun. But I think it's an idea that has potential.

edmanbosch 2017-07-31 22:03

How exactly did the control scheme ruin the fun?

dreadloaf 2017-08-01 00:17

Nice and simple concept with the theme fitting in nicely. The controls felt loose which was nice but maybe a bit floaty at times. Only real downside was the very short soundtrack but otherwise good job!

Pretty simple game but it seemed balanced pretty well. I finished with a highscore of 9 though I'm not sure if that's a good score or not haha. Managed to get into a pretty good rhythm by the end of it.

Simple and efficient. The game seems very dynamic and energetic (lol). I just regret that the controls do not always respond. There are things like the font that could have been improved, but these are only small details. Overall this game is not bad, it is even quite good.

A simple, yet reasonably tricky game! The platforming's pretty tight, although there were many instances where I found myself slipping off the edge. Hilarious that you can actually farm for batteries by picking them up and dying to respawn them! I suppose this was intentional, as the last level would be unfair without it. A short experience that works~

Simple and unforgiving, just how I like my games! The music of the game really helped shape the tension of getting to the exit quick, but, even though it's good already, I feel like the effect would've been great if the music looped seamlessly (I quickly got bored of the small pause between loops). I also felt like once you mess up for the first time, there's little to nothing you can do to recover from it (but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing! I, for one, really like games that punish mistakes).

Overall it's a decent game, and I enjoyed playing through it.

This platformer has the physics down with working collision, feels pretty smooth to play although a bit more gravity would make the jump feel better. Would love better graphics in this as the tiles make it look too spartan. The text is also a bit hard to make out against the background. Made it to the end with high score of 18, nice challenge without being overly frustrating to play.

pixel-programmer 2017-08-02 00:22

Really simple concept, but I enjoyed it. The game felt very smooth to play and the audio gave a nice touch. Overall good game!

Nice little game, enjoyed myself the whole way though. Had some interesting elements like your battery level carrying over to the next level which made optimising the early levels more important.

Solid effort

A very to-the-point speedrunning game.

incobalt 2017-08-02 21:59

You may want to ease off on the initial difficulty, I found it just too hard and frustrating. Still, I recognize that that's a feature of games like this. It looked and handled well. The batteries didn't restore enough power for me, but they respawn if you fail, so that's not so bad. Even still, it looks like a good entry that could be good for the right audience.

rakugakid 2017-08-04 14:58

Hey good job, you've made a really fun game which my friends would probably like a lot =), I would get them to try too unfortunately they weren't part of LD39 so they wouldn't be able to vote. =(

acoto87 2017-08-05 02:23

Hey, good work! The game is so simple that it's almost the best of it. The levels are very well designed for the fast pace of the game. The music do it's job setting the rhythm. I lost quite a few times, but it's one of those games that you can't quit until you beat it. I like it a lot.

mrchippy 2017-08-05 13:06

I managed to beat it without using the batteries farming thing ;DDD I liked this a lot. The gameplay felt smooth. While I couldn't tell at first you could jump on enemies I appreciate that was added. It wasn't the most creative idea but things like the battery being the same between levels and being able to farm batteries changed it up a bit. I though the enemy robots looked nice. Everything else didn't look that great. I felt like the music fit well with the simplisticness of the game.

le-slo 2017-08-05 13:12

Simple but well executed. I don't understand why the background has a grid, I think a flat color would be nicer. I also used the technique of the second level, as the is no punishment of battery for dying. Enemies are fast and difficult to kill so its better just to avoid them. Jump's sound was too high and, for that, a bit annoying. Keep coding!

lerpish 2017-08-06 15:41

Liked the game its bad it is too short

dcrdro 2017-08-11 11:45

Nice simple concept, it was pretty fun to play :)

aurel300 2017-08-20 19:27

We streamed your game with Danae plays on Twitch. :) Here's a link:

Sweet and short, the challenge was reasonable :) I wish there was more to it though!

Challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcB7mPgMq7c
