LD42 — Running out of space

Gel Break by HitchH1k3r 2018-08-21T18:34:39Z

Really neat game. I loved the graphics. The music was a good fit. But damn... those sound effects were really rough. They were just way too sharp. Made it a bit tough to not cringe after a while since every time you walk in the water or attack a slime it would make this screeching sound effect. But really a great game. Thank you, and well done!

Kingdoms Fall by LandoSystems 2018-08-15T03:02:08Z

What a great game! I love the tutorial! That helped so much! I can see this game getting a lot deeper. Well done for such a short time!

Polygon Bash by josehzz 2018-08-14T03:26:09Z

Wow! This was a really innovative game! Really neat take on a sort of Geometry Wars type game. Well done!

Passengers Tetris by Gao Ming 2018-08-15T17:42:03Z

Got a highscore of 33! I was sort of confused at the beginning because I was playing Tetris rules where you need to fill it in completely to get rid of rows. But once I actually RTFM I saw it was a match 3 game. I liked that it was unique in that way. It also has good humor with stacking people in funny positions. The only thing that confused me is that when I would get 3 heads stacked in a row, they wouldn't immediately pop. It was like it was waiting for a turn or even two to notice that I had matched three or 4 heads. Not sure if that was intended or not, but it sort of confused me a bit. Well done though, great game!

Space Scrap! by Alex Lutay 2018-08-21T18:40:40Z

Dang... I wanted to like this game so much based on the visuals. But there were a few things against it. Number 1: I had no idea how to play. Number 2: there was no sound when I played it. Not sure if that was a bug or not, but lack of sound is really striking in games. #2 sort of contributes to #1 by removing valuable feedback when I click something to know if it worked or didn't. If there was sound and my game was just bugged, let me know and I'll give it another try. Great looking game though!

Where's my kingdom?! by Nufflee 2018-08-16T19:27:51Z

I think it needs a bit more polish. It wasn't obvious when I could actually capture a tile and when I couldn't. In some cases, no matter where my troops were I couldn't capture some of the white tiles. I'm not sure if there was any end or win condition because I sort of lost interest after occupying 3/4 of the map. Maybe some different enemy types or terrain variation could help give it some more variety. Good job though on the hexagonal tiles as well as the mini-map. I know from experience that hex grids can be somewhat difficult to get set up and wrap your head around.

Eventful Horizon by bitdecay 2018-08-16T22:11:09Z

@cobear25 thank you so much for your feedback!

It is really encouraging to hear everyone's really kind words. Thank you so much everyone!

The Last Robot by siimer 2018-08-14T18:58:12Z

The goal of the game was a little hard to grasp at the beginning. The little tool tips that would occasionally show up helped a lot. I actually really wanted to finish this game because of the death sequence. But it was unfortunately just a little too hard for me. I just kept dying to stuff that I didn't know was there, like running into the slug, running into spikes, falling on spikes, etc. The music and the writing created a great atmosphere though. Well done!

20000 Leaks Under the Sea by webthingee 2018-08-14T03:37:51Z

This game has a really cute style. Well done!

Pulse Race by Chroma 2018-08-14T03:33:21Z

That game was tough. I don't think I ever got close to beating any of the other dots. It has a great look to it though. Well done!

PΓ–SITRIS by shinyogre 2018-08-17T02:51:06Z

I can't really say I'm all that impressed... It was a tetris clone with motivational quotes. Sorry, but there just has to be more than that to keep my interest. Thanks though.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-19T17:21:11Z

Really great idea and fantastic execution. I would have liked a little more direction. But as you said, you ran out of time for the help stuff. Great game though!

Cherrytales - Cherryboy and Briar Princess by Beebo Studios 2018-08-14T19:27:53Z

This is a cute little game. Really liked the art style and the effort at story was appreciated. Well done!

Ruthless by Linxed 2018-08-15T20:11:17Z

I also don't think it fits with the theme, but I had a surprisingly fun time playing this. Partly because I also had fun hacking it, lol. Just ignore that top score place. That is the work of a Javascript auto clicker. But thank you for the entertainment!

Jelly! by rowanqueue 2018-08-14T03:15:46Z

Great game! I'd be curious to see the algorithm you used to guarantee a successful solution. However, there was a bug, if you CLICK the Reset button, you don't get the same number of squares to place as when you hit the R key. Just a heads up. Well done!

Rey Trace by WiredOverload 2018-08-17T02:38:52Z

Great job on the mechanic! I also really liked the music in the background. Well done!

Plant's Conquest by Sam Estep 2018-08-14T18:47:52Z

Wow! At first it was a bit confusing what I was suppose to be doing. But once I got the hang of it it really was a unique and thoughtful game. I really enjoyed the sound design. It gave it great atmosphere. Well done!

Space Invasion by Nam Nguyen 2018-08-19T01:37:34Z

Nice job! Really a complete and fun little game.

Relocation by EpigramGames 2018-08-16T19:15:51Z

Dang, this game looks sick, but then I realized it doesn't have a mac or web version... :sob:

Space Collapse by Steffanie 2018-08-14T03:22:09Z

I didn't understand how to get very far in this game. I probably only lasted at most 20 seconds. It is pretty hard to hit the astroids when you can only shoot towards the sun. Good look though.

Outta Space by Coal Creek Game Devs 2018-08-14T19:11:11Z

Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I never figured out how to buy stuff in the shop. So after a while of flying around and picking up stuff and dropping it off, it started to get boring. Would have liked to see what the different upgrades did or what the hats looked like. Also, there is an invisible platform in the bottom left of the map (the first map if there are more). I thought the audio design was cute and I really liked the little blips of text that would pop out of the items as you picked them up. Loved the Rick and Morty references.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Atria by comatomatoes 2019-05-05T03:36:21Z

Great job! I really struggled to get past that red guy. It was kind of difficult to tell if I was going to be hit or not. But overall, really well done!

Zugzwang by riv-roy 2019-05-05T03:45:49Z

Great feel. The music adds a lot. Also, LOVE the volume sliders in the corner. I could see getting really into the strategy of this game with a friend. Thanks for putting this up!

Zap Signal by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2019-05-05T03:57:35Z

I am super impressed by this game. Great integration with the microphone. Can't say I've ever played a game jam game that used the microphone.

Life Merchant by Webox 2019-05-05T03:53:55Z

Great job! I love the change in music when you change age. Also, great job building the puzzles on top of one another. Puzzle craft is very difficult to get right, but you have a start of something really crisp here. Thanks for posting!

LD45 — Start with nothing

HUNTER HUNGER by oddarock 2019-10-09T21:01:15Z

This game made me laugh out loud. The little popups above the little fleas head were pretty great. I wanted to eat more humans before being sent off. But other than that, great job!

Velocity Smash by Elijah Moreno 2019-10-09T21:29:25Z

Great game! Really enjoyed it. Couldn't tell if there was an end, so I eventually just let myself die, but thank you!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Nuotio by arctic_allosaurus 2020-04-24T20:01:55Z

Really incredible style to this game. The fun aspect was lacking quite a bit unfortunately. I'd love to see it be a little more fleshed out with a better control scheme. I gave the art and the mood 5 stars though. Well done!

Connection by Trifectuh 2020-04-24T20:25:59Z

Great concept for a game. I'm super impressed you have a working AI. It beat me a couple times before I started to get the hang of the rules. The art was lacking quite a bit though. Didn't feel much like I was fighting aliens or that I was keeping a data connection alive. Great submission overall though. Thanks!

Come to Mama by Louis hayes greenwood 2020-04-24T19:47:52Z

It was a good game. I was impressed by the number of levels and the complexity of the puzzles. Like a few others have said, putting [space] and [ctr] together as the buttons you play with is really quite difficult. Especially when you don't also include [WASD]. I would also agree with some of the others that having the bear pick up the arrow stones when you walk into them is not intuitive and is really frustrating when you are not intending to pick one up. Thanks for your submission!

DANGER! Alien Cow Thieves! by Shredmer 2020-04-24T21:18:25Z

This game had some fantastic art. I loved the look of it. Jumping around felt ok, but the fact that the only way to get on the platforms was to wall jump made the character feel really heavy and not very controllable. I liked the music, but it didn't really match the hectic nature of the game. I'm glad you chose to make the player invincible. It made it so I could focus on smacking the enemies instead of dodging the bullets. Great submission!

Mammoth Expedition by Abdurrahman Khallouf 2020-04-22T18:51:41Z

Great game! I played it a few times. Definitely a fun story. I really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Dragon Egg by Heiach 2020-04-25T01:12:39Z

Almost finished the second level, but got tired of looking at a screen that said "Level 2...Scrambled...Level 2...Scrambled" over and over again. I like the sound and art design though. Thanks for your submission.

Keep It Alive by DoctorTM 2020-04-25T01:21:16Z

Damn, that game is hard. I eventually figured out that you could chop the trees down, but it is really tough to actually click them with the movement controls the way they were. Good idea though. Our game is very similar. Thanks for the good submission!

Loading... by AlexAuragan 2020-04-24T20:10:00Z

It took a bit to realize you were trying to get the little glowing pips. And the controls were especially difficult with a trackpad. But other than that it was an interesting concept for a game. Thanks for the submission.

Stand Still by Draelent 2020-04-24T19:55:39Z

That was a pretty tough game. It was hard to understand what to do even with the tutorial. Thank you for the submission.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Sakura Shrine by arzi 2022-04-05T18:02:02Z

Very beautiful game. And the music was very well done. I also enjoyed the story. The gameplay needed a bit of work, but overall it was a fun experience. Great job!

Can't Escape Your Past by Marcenat 2022-04-06T01:56:05Z

Wow! That was super fun! I loved the slow down/speed up mechanic. Super unique! Thanks for a good time!

Ayakashi: The Mystery of the Sea by igorfelga 2022-04-05T18:09:58Z

I like the way the music was done, it created this feeling of something epic happening. But the game itself didn't quite live up to that feeling. But still kudos for finishing and especially for having a tutorial screen.

Bussin by bitdecay 2022-04-06T13:18:36Z

@adamcyounis sorry that the physics didn't behave for you. We did include a slightly easier tray that you can enable in the settings menu. But it seems like the weird physics has been an issue with a lot of people (especially on the soft-body physics that seem to become sentient and fly off the screen on their own accord sometimes). We also noticed some of our computers had a harder time with the physics than others, so maybe it just didn't like your browser/OS in particular. We might try a different physics engine next time to see if we can fix this problem for future physics-based games (we used Nape with Haxe, in case other are wondering). We really appreciate you playing our game, and also I'm a huge YT fan, really love your work. Thanks for doing what you do!

Inferno Fox by jkniest 2022-04-06T01:38:24Z

Love the highscore feature! Those kind of features really make for a good overall experience. Definitely a fun little game.

My Story by Ausstein 2022-04-05T17:28:02Z

Super clever. Loved this. Well done!

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-05T17:42:08Z

Loved the art style. The game itself seemed like it needed a bit more to make it more entertaining. But overall you guys did a great job!

Cringe in Space by Glimmer 2022-04-06T01:32:57Z

That was pretty funny. Could have used a bit of background music. Only lasted 30 seconds. Thanks for the good time!

Department Of Demise by Crychair 2022-04-06T13:28:06Z

That was an awesomely polished game! Loved the commentary that happened in the background. Loved the little messages that popped up for the different people. Super intuitive and kind of a fun and crazy version of Papers Please. Thanks for the awesome submission!

Mr. Twigs by LeoLFerraz 2022-04-05T18:06:59Z

Dang... Got me good right from the first little note. Well done for making a game that actually tells a story (and a sad one at that).

Akabe: New Victim by Firstborn Unicorn 2022-04-05T17:10:59Z

Neat game! Definitely fit the theme. I liked that you added a highscore tracker. Little addons like that make a game much more re-playable. Great job!

Crime Time by bodCodes 2022-04-06T02:22:51Z

I liked this game a lot. Loved the footstep mechanic. The pathfinding is a cool addition as well. Overall, really nicely done!

Fart Competitions by PureImprov 2022-04-06T01:28:38Z

Lol that made my laugh. Thanks for a good time.

LD58 — Collector

Cut to Pieces by Sheepolution 2025-10-08T01:28:36Z

Great job on this. The intro cut scene was amazing. Very creative way to give instructions to the player. Loved it.
