gerardb 2017-12-05 12:43

Really like the concept. Also the game fells polished for a jam :)

bastienre4 2017-12-05 13:00

Great game ! Maybe it was a bit too long, but I loved the graphics and the mood of the game. Looks polished. Congrats guys.

hadesfury 2017-12-05 13:00

waow .. quite challenging .. a little bit repetitive .. but awesome work .. the power to unlock give you the will to go beyond !

Well done

ibrahimshersha 2017-12-05 13:10

art and music is superb, power up wears off quickly. the main problem for me is the screen size, its too big for my laptop screen .overall the game is cool.

netherlab 2017-12-05 13:13

I was immediately immersed into the game. The pixel art was executed beautifully, the music and sounds matched the environment. I initially thought this was going to be an easy game, but it very quickly revealed itself to be a challenging game and very fun at the same time!

This truly fits the theme the more you have, the worse it is. Well done guys!

annie-owl 2017-12-05 15:01

Wow, great game guys. Graphics are really cute, music is chill and the whole game just feels great, so you want to play more and more, even though you already can't manage all this plants.

tbaudon 2017-12-05 15:10

Très bonne finition et feeling, bravo

gozz 2017-12-05 16:30

Awesome little game, simple concept but the game is really well made and polished.

Graphics and sounds gives an awesome mood. Great work !

reality-blind 2017-12-05 16:54

Just amazing and beautiful ! Great job !

xacur 2017-12-05 22:51

Amazing game. Beautiful art, nice music and sound. It feels so polished, and it's so rewarding. It's short and not that hard, but it's entertaining.

harusame 2017-12-06 12:28

Wow, great game with lot of polish ^^ I finish at my first attempt but it start to be hard after the third power.

Quite relaxing with a great feeling.

Good job team !

lynnaira 2017-12-08 13:34

wow, very polished for a jam game! nice graphics, neat mechanics, and a good bit of challenge. great job! :^)

hugimugi7 2017-12-08 13:41

Wow! This is amazing. Great graphics and amazing polish. Good Job!

samurai-spark 2017-12-08 19:29

Guys this is a really awesome game!

Its absolutely beautiful to look at and the sound fits perfect to the mood. Its very well polished. The gameplay is minimalistic and very relaxing. Two little Notes:

1. I stuck right before the first big leaf because there were no new green plants. 2. And indicator on the "good" plants before they dry out would be nice (or maybe I just missed it^ ^)

Overall I love it fantastic job!

ekilibr 2017-12-09 10:51

Thank you guys for your warm feedbacks!

@SamuraiSpark, yes we considered having that kind of feedback, but you would have lost the "always keep an eye on" thing ^^ For your first remark, could you tell me what happened exactly ? You watered the first plant of the tuto and then nothing happened?

Thanks again guys for all the love!

fernandabatista 2017-12-09 12:21

Great game! So intense and fun! The game is so beautiful.

junber 2017-12-09 23:39

Windows told me that the .zip file is invalid. I tried downloading both from itch.io and from the direct link. But the problem was fixed, weirdly enough, by simply changing the file extension to .rar, idk how this could be caused. The art style and sound were really lovely. The gameplay is fun for such a simple concept, the difficulty curve as great and new powers got introduced at the perfect rate (though it would have been cool if there were more possibilities to use them) Really well-done and polished game.

pcmaster 2017-12-10 11:15

Fantastic! A very balanced, smooth, polished and pretty long gameplay. Brilliant graphics, sounds, music. I was interested to see what the subsequent tricks did, so I finished in one run. Good job guys, please continue making games! :) 5/5

tuomo 2017-12-10 15:17

I had same zip-file problem, windows didn’t recognize it as proper zip, 7-zip worked though. Really cute and well executed game, easy to learn and hard to master. Gameplay became quickly really stressful and I started accidentally cut down plants and watering weeds. I don’t know whether game is too hard or I’m bad at it;) At least it really fits the theme. Also it’s bit annoying when you have plant surrounded by other plants and can’t get to it. Pixel art is really well done and sounds and music build up the atmosphere. Overall great job guys!

ekilibr 2017-12-10 15:25

Thank you for your kind feedbacks!

The issue with the zip format is quite annoying, we'll try to reproduce locally and fix it asap.

For the plants being surrounded by other ones, that was kind of a conscious choice, to make you cut "good" plants in order to keep a clean garden and avoid fire starts ;) Sorry if you felt it was too much penalizing!

solsforest 2017-12-10 15:36

The graphics for this game are stunning! There is so much attention to detail and all the animations are perfect! The controls are smooth and the game is simple and quick to learn and fun to play. The audio is great and. You guys have made my favorite entry!

tulipekoni 2017-12-10 16:30

Nice Entry! I really loved how the game felt, very polished, nice music and sounds, graphics fit in well..

Few nitpicks: It would have been great to move diagonally. Also snapping to nearby plants wouldn't be a bad thing (very hard to polish, I know). I kinda felt that the game was bit too slow (I kinda got stuck sometimes since new plants weren't spawning). more action and speed wouldn't hurt :D

In conclusion: nice game! enjoyed playing it. good job!

sirikan 2017-12-11 03:19

Awesome game, spent a fair amount of time playing it. Really liked the art style and animations too.

tinis-games 2017-12-11 12:09

I love drawing and general graphic rendering! Maybe too easy to win? I didn't need to use powers in my game. But I had a lot of fun and the work really impresses me (only 72 hours to do everything, don't forget!) :)

creamybacon2 2017-12-12 01:44

One word "Challenging" Your game was Great! The art, sound, controls, and especially the theme are all on point! But let me take a moment to appreciate whoever set the pace of the difficulty curve. Difficulty curves are very very important to set the flow of a game and also a games ability to keep your attention. You guys did a fantastic job at setting the pace of your game, and that's not an easy thing to do... trust me I know. Great Job Guys!

ekilibr 2017-12-12 20:30

Thanks again for the warm feedbacks!

Yes, balancing was definitely one of the biggest challenges we faced while developing the game. I'd say it's been a team effort of playtests and tweaks to make it as it is!

andrej-hoos 2017-12-12 22:37

Great game. I kept thinking that the game will be easier as I was collecting the guardians, but getting the last one was actually pretty tough. Overall, really liked the graphics and sound, as well as the general idea.

illabom 2017-12-15 00:16

The art is incredible well Done! Very fun game!

Check out my game if you like! You shant regret it https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected

pndaa 2017-12-16 11:22

Wow finished it.

Take me some times to realize dead plants can be revive. So the second part was longer for me x) but well that was fun.

Apart that: really good progression, controls, sound, musics art... Everything fit wells! I had a wonderful time, thank you.

jandourek 2017-12-23 11:14

Very nice! I enjoyed the graphics, audio and the game was really fun to play. This game feels very professionally made. Congrats!

maimai 2017-12-23 22:51

Great submission! Looks, sounds, and feels excellent! The only issue I had, at first, was telling the difference between a dying plant and a weed.

stratoskakalis 2017-12-24 16:11

Incredible submission! Nothing wrong with it but I would probably advice you add a pause menu (if there isnt already one in a post-jam version). The visuals were AN EASY 5/5 everything else was also very well done.
