It's a fun and challenging game, but it would be even better if there were more enemies and items.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → Darklike

Nice graphics, good polish. Gameplay was fun and easy to understand.
I think the flash should be on cooldown or have a way to recharge, because when you run out the game kind of falls apart and becomes just blindly looking for the exit.
This looks very polished from the screenshots. Well done. I can't play though bc I don't have windows :\
This is a really nice game :D
I liked the overall presentation, the music was good and the artstyle fit the game. The only little complaint I have is that after using all my flashes, searching for the exit became a rather mundane task. But other than that, very good work :D
Hey everyone, I was able to fix a keyboard bug, and now the game should run under any OS that has Java 1.8 or newer. I have not tested it on Linux or with OpenJDK, so please let me know if you have a problem! Thanks for checking out the game!
hard game is there a whay to recover flashes?
The game plays pretty well, I think I might have encountered a case where there was one ball which was unobtainable. It was stuck between two statues vertically. This game seems to have randomly generated levels, but if it helps, I had it happening at level 11.
Great usage of theme and good fun game to play, I wish there was some way to restore your flashes, otherwise great work!
oh congratulation! Nice art! Can I follow it also on indiexpo? Do you have also a page there? This looks great! I looked for the games that used the #LDJAM but I don't find yours. So good luck!! I will hope to make a video about it!
Clever game mechanice. Truly the dark souls of dark games involving souls.
Really interesting concept! I enjoyed playing for a while until I collect too many orbs to see anything and ran out of flashes. It was cool the first few times trying to find the exit by following the bullets and their 'sight aura', but it quickly became frustrating walking in circles. It would be great if there was a way to make this part less tedious.
Enjoyed the graphics and sound design, great work!
Easy to get into. Graphics and audio were fantastic! The concept of losing vision while collecting those orbs is a cool idea for the theme. I wish that there was a way to earn more flashes because the game got really difficult as soon as I ran out. Maybe reward the player with a new flash after collecting so many orbs?
Overall, the graphics and audio stand out from most other games here.
I wish I could draw sprites like these _(:з)∠)__
I think it is a big problem that there is not enough guiding to exit when the player got very limited sight. If the exit is not on the line of projectiles, it would be a disaster lol
I liked the atmosphere. Bullets from the dorkness and the mysterious standing knight status. The music is good.
The problem is the game at first seems too easy and it sudden go very hard as the light circle shrinks.
The art looked really good! The audio is fitting and the gameplay is pretty solid. I would add a way to recover flashes or make the player visibility larger than the actual player :p
All in all its a great game.
Wow! Great game!
I like the idea of the shriking light circles, the audio is nice, the graphics are great and overall it just works wonderfully well. Congrats!
(My best score was 84 orbes)
Strong graphics and sound work here, and once I understood what was going on with the gameplay I was pretty content with it but seeing that there was no notable end to the game and your flashes/vision never reset meant I didn't feel much motivation to keep going or trying again once I made it as far as I could. I'd love to see whatever projects you're working on because your style is really nice!
