I really like the graphics, camera work, and music. It was nice playing a game with a written story.

I really like the graphics, camera work, and music. It was nice playing a game with a written story.
Great idea for the theme. I had fun trying to balance the rocket upward. It could've used a bit more audio like more sound effects and maybe some music. Overall, I had fun playing this game.
It was gratifying to mindlessly kill many people and watch them fly. Simple and straight to the action.
Nice artwork and animations. It felt more like a simulation, but it was fun seeing where it went.
I liked the graphics style of this game. I wanted to enjoy it, but I thought the game started off too difficult or I just didn't know how to throw the popcorn well enough. Maybe a preview of the throwing arc would've helped me get into this game more easily.
It's cool that you made this more from scratch than most other games on here. I liked the music. Did you compose it?
Like someone has already said, I had trouble shooting from far away (which is the point when you're running away from enemies). The game was also a little too gray for me.
Awesome game! It reminds me of an old game called Forsaken. The music was really well done. I had a lot of fun with this one.
The music was great for the mood and immersion which ties in nicely with the setting and story of the game. The artwork was well-done, and it was nice to see the changes in the environment like snow melting and the fire chain reactions. The polish and heart that was put into this game was icing on the cake.
The idea of flailing your arms around while on fire is as unique as the rest of this game, but I couldn't get the hang of it well enough and had to keep trying to progress. Moving my mouse quickly in order to flail didn't feel right to me (maybe I didn't get how I was supposed to move my mouse). I honestly would've preferred mashing a key or mouse button. But I loved the idea behind it.
Overall, great job especially on everything about the mood: music, artwork, and setting.
I enjoyed the sense of humor put into this game. The Wilhelm scream was definitely unexpected. Great music and artwork. The controls felt natural to me. Good job on this game!
The music pacing was a nice touch for the mood. Backgrounds and enemies had interesting abstract shapes. The shooting was fun and had an interesting way to spawn bullets. My only complaint would be how the camera behaves and the sudden jumps between areas of the environment. Otherwise, good job on making a simple arcade shooter.
I loved this game. It was fun to juggle so many rules. The ambient audio helped make it more panic inducing, but it was still rhythmic and appropriate. I didn't encounter any bugs. Great job!
Nice artwork and music. The charge attack was fun to use. The game could've used a few sound effects like to help indicate when the player gets hit and maybe an enemy death sound. Overall, it was still a fun arena fighting game. Good job!
Nice graphics and music. The clouds and fish looked great! However, this didn't really feel like a game since there didn't seem to be a losing condition. I wasn't a fan of having to install it to try this game out. Overall, this game had a great style and I can still appreciate the polish that went into this. Good job!
@elitegoliath Thank you for the constructive feedback. I agree that the background was a bit too much. I'm not sure how I could've made it more subtle. Maybe smaller stars and more spread out? Also, those are great ideas to expand the gameplay with having more cargo. It makes sense to encourage the player to collect more that has some benefit (like more firepower) and maybe another detriment (like slower acceleration). As for being a little too easy to out maneuver the enemies, I had a hard time finding a good balance in difficulty. When I'm developing a game and play it many times over, of course I get good at my own game. But, since I've gotten good at it, I lose touch with what it's like being a new player. I wanted it to be easy for most people, but maybe I did make the enemies a bit too slow and fire too infrequently.
As for everyone else, thank you for the kind comments. This was my first Ludum Dare, and I had a blast. I've learned a lot, and I look forward to the next Ludum Dare!
Great ideas for the theme. I loved how the effects increased the difficulty as you ate more mushrooms.
Easy to get into. Graphics and audio were fantastic! The concept of losing vision while collecting those orbs is a cool idea for the theme. I wish that there was a way to earn more flashes because the game got really difficult as soon as I ran out. Maybe reward the player with a new flash after collecting so many orbs?
Overall, the graphics and audio stand out from most other games here.
