Hmm... where do I play this?
Yeah, no link is present. @ me when it's up.
@relixes @ravarion Sorry - had some issues getting page changes to stick today! The cover photo took like 4 upload attempts. Link should be there now.
Cool little management game. Controls and workflow are really well done (your UI is about 200% more legible than most LD games). There are a couple easy ways to totally screw yourself, but overall this is a really good submission.
I liked it, well done! Extra + for the art sytle from me :)
This was a pretty exciting game! I felt the frantic need to please the volcano
The screen is only black for me under the menu and red bar. No sounds or anything either. Using an updated windows chrome, if that helps.
@scarfdev there's no audio in the game - did you see the menu? I don't know of any red bar until the game starts proper - which sounds like the game itself loads but maybe not the level once you hit "play"? Any chance of a screenshot, or chrome console logs if you know how to provide those?
Cool game! Liking the art style.
@mcovert https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/345362132654620672/519006753032110081/unknown.png the red bar fills up slowly, so I assume this is the game, just nothing underneath the menu appears. No clue how to get the console logs, sorry.
Good job. Had fun beating this. Would be great to see you consider expanding this in the future to update the art and add new levels. Only complaint is that I don't understand the timers on when people move into their homes, some homes are a lot faster than others, not sure why.
@scarfdev very strange - you should see the level geometry itself there. I'm not sure what's wrong! I've added a windows download to the itch.io page if you want to try that instead.
I like the simple tiled look of the world. I feel like the simple tile aesthetic gives a lot of room to expand something like this mechanically!
It's hard to make a game like this in a game jam because it can be really tricky to properly balance things. This game does it quite well! Great job!
That was fun. I liked the isometric and simplistic anesthetic.
It lacks sound however, and it was a lil too easy.
Good job though, a nice solid simple entry.

Good job! Had a good bit of fun playing around with it, and it was intuitive enough that I didn't need to read through the instructions.
Very well done! The game definitely punishes you right off the bat lol, my quarry was annihilated by some lava like 15 seconds after placing it.
It's fun! I wish there were more to the "economy" than just go straight for the win or die.
loved the isometric view , really cool game , but i would love if i build more houses it will increase the regenration of humans. good job !
Its good and really fun. I have not beaten the game yet thought.. I will..
Good job, Nice with the small animations to hint at when resources would be gained. It would be nice with a restart option after the volcano erupted.
I really like the tight gameplay loop, it requires some pretty quick intense management. I love the little graphics and the way the AI people path around lava pools. Very well done!
Greate game, nice gameplay, good art :)
Nice game! Good idea and visuals
Is it just me, or is this game impossible? I've played the HTML5 version on itch.io, and I cannot progress no matter how i start out? Is the rate at which you gather stuff bugged? I'll hold off rating if that's the case.
Your game is pretty cool and it is nice that there is tutorial, because at first glance it is not so easy to understand what to do. Good job:)
This was just an amazing experience!
3-12-2018 15-59-1.png Good game, little to easy for me, just spam houses everywhere, but I liked it.
I like it! really good! could have used some more sounds though!
Thats one great game!
Great game didn´t know you could zoom out at first so it was too little room but then I zoomed out and it was much easier.
Great game but heavily dependent on rng. When you run out of lumber right on the beginning because bad luck, you're screwed. Good job for a jam entry tho !
impressive work and stuff in this game and fit perfectly the theme i like espcially the volcano
clear gameplay except on the sacrifice ;) maybe an alert message because its the only way to continue playing A really a strong entrie for JAM
congratulation !!
note : i win with spam house no really need woods
Good idea, if it had music would be much better. But nice overall, Game took a few tries to beat, bit slow paces though
Great game! It's really fun! Music is needed! And I have some problems in resolution on web gl version. But anyways - great job!
Really fun game! while the graphics were rather simple that gameplay made up for it. Some music and sounds would make this a great game.
A really good interpretation of the theme. If you ever update it, I would recommend little tooltips when mousing over the buildings, as well as mouse-based camera panning.
THANK YOU for including a web build. Definitely makes life easier. I have to agree with @foxor, though. A more in-depth economy would have made this awesome game just that much more fun.
Cool game! I really like the animations!
Interesting game. It was fun. The instructions were helpful and definitely required before playing first round. But as soon as I understood what was going on, the game was enjoyable.
Good game! Short but sweet. I enjoyed!
The only thing is that I reached a point on my first playthrough where I was unable to continue gathering wood since I had two farms left but overall pretty good game next time make sure you remember that to you the game should be easy since you know all the mechanics and inner workings
Believe me when I tell you this, you won't like the volcano gods when they're angry! Holy cow, they really start spewing! Oh, it looks like this the first LD for all of you. Congratulations on mashing together something that works on your first outting! :)
Cool game that nails the theme! Some comments:
- There is often downtime. I was wishing I could actively build followers rather than just waiting. - It's hard to find where your followers are, especially if they're behind something. - I like the lava swamping the level as the game goes on. This could be accelerated greatly with mechanics introduced to combat it. - Music and SFX! Anything is better than nothing.
Once I figured out how everything worked it was quite nice and fun to play ! Cute art style too.
Rather easy, but I liked the style and the overall idea. Just wish there was more to it. Right now it's just "do anything and win".
I like the concept, but it lacks balance. As long as you don't let the anger bar go all the way up, the game basically plays itself, but otherwise the volcano fucks everything up in seconds, it'd be good to have varying degrees of fuck ups I suppose. It's too bad there no sound too, it could really have improved the whole vibe, which I thought was rather on point with the theme! The graphics could probably benefit with some sort of ambient occlusion, to further the "small model" style. Overall pretty good, congrats on shipping :)
It took me a while to get the hang of it so I was really confused by the people saying it's very easy! Then, once the economy picked up, it did get easy, but the start is equally easy to mess up. One thing I didn't enjoy was waiting for people to appear (and searching for them), but other than that it's been really fun and I replayed it several times! If there were sound effects, I would mostly appreciate a sound for lava destroying something (building/disabling a production) and for new people appearing. :)
Great job! I have "plug it") Special thanks for the html5 version.
It pretty polished have a nice cover image. What is really rare situation when you have only few days. I agree about sound - anything is much better then nothing( It fit theme enough, not so deep interpretation but on this case it's simple, easy to got and play!
I hope to play it on mobile, there is no games like it,.. ( All of them are more like idle rather then menagment. Good luck ;)
Nice concept but it seems like the numbers just dont work. Tried the html5 version 4 times and couldn't progress beyound 2 houses and a farm before being bombarded to death.
The concept and the graphism are so nice ! I Love it =D Well done !
I love this !
First, the graphics and the isometric view really a good point. I like the overall lights and color choice here.
There is a how to play in the game, which is nice, not every game has one (we don't, and it's a shame.)
I guess it lacks a bit of feedback. Like, how can I see how much villagers will be generated ? It's over time, but, hard to plan things without it. And no sounds at all ! Or maybe my browser or something.
It was a bit easy, but hey, bettre that than a game too hard
Theme is respected, everything is good.
Wow, great job!
Very cool idea! Good job! :top:
Nice work guys! Good Idea Pure art stile make game look solid! Just one more thing that I'm don't undestent - why I can burn my buildings without any pros? Anyway overall Greate Job! 🌟
Nice idea, but it is not properly balanced, you just need to spam the houses. Also is kinda wreid that all the accions can be made using the mouse and to move the camera the WASD. The rest is quite good.
Fun idea! It reminded me the old games of The Settlers saga! Easy, but cool: good work!
Cool idea and execution, missing sound of course but otherwise awesome! I did get stuck though, after some time no more people spawned at my houses (not even newly built ones). Perhaps a bug, after I accidentally demolished a house?
Bit more complexity or challenge could've benefited the game, but it's pretty solid for a few days of work. Maybe more random lava drops but with pre-warning so that you could evacuate the people out of the way? Lava could also solidify slowly into fertile land for example.
I liked the clarity of the graphics, simple controls. Good though not very surprising use of the theme.
A really fun idear! I think it laks most of atmosphere and mood to really pull you in, but the mechanics are allready really fun. I would love for the Villigers to scram if the get trown into the vulcano. good Job Overall!
I was ready to give up after 5 tries. But I finally plugged the volcano. I determined the rate at which Houses spawn humans is random. And you can potentially get screwed. (correct me if im wrong)
I love the concept, but the spawn rate of houses can potentially kill an attempt. <3
Nice game, I get so addicted by this genre, it was a good experience!
Very nice grafics
Nice and simple, liked it. Adding sound would be great, plus maybe making it mor difficult by a faster anger bar would be an improvement. I had fun playing it.
The game felt a bit too easy, but it was fun in the end!
I didnt like the graphics
The graphics were blocky and the gameplay feel too, but overral good entry
I like the idea. Nicely done!
Fun game! I love the concept. It was easier than I thought, and it's one game I hope to see enhanced upon~
Very complicated game, well done for completing this 48 hours! The game is quite easy though and audio is much needed
I like the graphics, and gameplay is good but a bit easy.
The game could really benefit some music/sound. And maybe you should introduce a mechanic to balance the fact that having a big population bring so much resources. I had maybe 15 villagers and resources kept coming in faster than I could spend them. Maybe more villagers should consume more resources, or maybe the cost of buildings should increase with population...
Anyway, great job on making this game! I enjoyed playing it :-)
Amazing game with cool graphics!)
Oh wow, that was brutal :D
Interesting game, not sure what the condition is for people to spawn, just seemed to find that I would build houses that would never spawn people.
Nice job, good theme and style. I too wasn't sure how people spawned either but it was fairly balanced.
Nice game! Would've loved to have some sounds and feedback/notifications on people spawning/buildings destroyed etc.
Didn't read the instructions (my fault) so it took me two tries to find out that you can drag people around. After that is was very much enjoyable, the game loop of building things to acquire resources to build more things kept me captivated till the end. Good job!
I is so hard :)
Btw good ideas :)
Well done
I did not understand well when new citizen will be born
Good job on the execution of this idea. As soon as I figured out that sacrificing people was core to moving forward things felt less hectic which was fantastic. This seems to be echoed quite frequently above but having a timer on when a new citizen is available would be a huge boon to this project. Thank you for sharing your work!!
The game is pretty intuitive, but the time limit is super harsh. It looks like you played it so many times during development that you had to crank up the difficulty several times to challenge yourself.
Cool building/management game which places you under pressure!
Overall I enjoyed the game, it simple and fun game. I played your game a lot of times trying to beat it XD. I think the volcano grows really fast the only way I found to win is to put every think on quarries. If the volcano moved slower the player would have more time to explore the game and would be beneficial in the end. I love that the volcano destroyed building randomly, it had a nice random effect on the game. The graphics are really cool ;)
Great idea but the lack of sound was pretty jarring. Took a while to realise what was actually destroying my buildings, as there's no visual or audio feedback aside from the little blocks, which I initially thought were clouds haha.
I really like the minimalistic look of the game, especially because there's a lot going on but you made it look simple and easy  Well done!
A serious concept in few time. I'm impressed.
Ahaha, this one looks very similar to ours. I like the graphics use, and the whole game is very well playable. Will try to play this one more. Totally my kind of gameplay.
Very complicated but when you figure it out it can be verry funny! Good luck!
Pretty enjoyable but eventually figured it out. It looks like I got stuck at one point. I had a bunch of houses, and only one quarry left, but I didn't have enough wood to build any other buildings, so it was a rush against time to get to the 1000 stone.
It seems strange that the Food is only used for houses and not for other things and that the people can't collect resources without the processing plants, but it was fun, all in all!
Nice looking game and gameplay experience. I wish you take the time to polish it into a proper game (I'd pay a few bucks for it!).
Sound would be great and a little bit more transparency into the mechanics (sometimes I just stopped getting people into the houses), but in any case, this was one of my favorites this time :)
Clever, intuitive, and pretty! I got stuck a few times, but the gameplay is smooth and addictive. Great job!
