@ghostgoatsgames Thanks for playing it!
This game was hard at the beginning.... and is still hard but maybe slightly less after playing it a few times!
There is so much going on at once but I feel like I started to get the hang of things atleast a little when replaying the game. Def have to micro manage to keep things running smoothly!
I like how you did the title screen to incorporate the players name. Really a cool touch. Also being able to rename players (even though they might not last very long) was a great touch especially for streaming the game as viewers like to get involved and feel like part of the game when they are included!
The fact you didn't really need a tutorial to learn the game was really cool. Felt like I was actually learning how to play as I was playing! Had a great time playing so keep up the great work!
Here is a video of me playing the game the other day: [The Adventures Of By Kappa-B](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/420803798)
Once again @carbs Thank you for taking the time to play my game and for taking that extra step of clipping it. It had a lot of fun watching you and your community. good luck on all your future adventures
Hey there! Just letting you know that the last day of my LDJAM streams (https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames) will be this Monday night around 7PM PST. Since you selected to wait for you to be in chat, your games will be played near the end of the stream if you can't make it! Thanks for sharing your game with the stream, hope you can make it!
Really well done. I got to the end, but it took a couple tries. Toward the end each of the battles felt like it could have gone either way, but I'd always get a shield upgrade right in time or have a crew member promoted. It felt like I was always on the brink of losing but that I managed to keep my crew (or at least myself) alive. This really could have been a confusing experience given the complexity, but once I got the hang of things it was manageable. I like the clear 2D graphics against the parallaxed starfield. It felt busy but not cluttered. Good work.
Thank you for submitting your game to be played on my stream!
Once the stream is finished you can find the video here: https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos If you want to know when it was played you can find your game in the queue here: https://tinyurl.com/y5rdokvp
I just realized that the collor of the crew means the cpllor of the shirt they are wearing. Love it.
I was confused at first but got the hang of 'manning' stations and letting the shooting happen automatically. Pretty fun!
Really love the font used when naming the captain~ The USS Coffee part reminded me a lot of Mr Coffee from Spaceballs. Good on humour too. It took me a bit of time to realize how to shoot (that G was for the guns), and I found it odd that I couldn't shoot at certain angles, but still pretty impressive game for a weekend!
Really impressive work! Though you can see the stuff you didn't have time to implement, the stuff that's there is remarkable. Whenever I felt bored, the merchant would appear and I'd put myself in dire straits to buy those upgrades. I wish I could see the status of my shields when the repair option was up, and it would've been nice to know how far along I was. But really really great job!
I really enjoyed this game. It has a winning strategy but despte that it is still really fun to watch a lot of enemies dying.
Really cool submition ! Need balencing path and add sound on a post jam versions :) Good job and nice theme using.
Really cool game. I love how unique and interesting the concept is, as well as the little things that you can customize, such as the names and arrangement of your crew. If you're going to continue this game, I could see being able to modularly build and customize your ship, and having to balance its stats as a really fun feature. Regardless, good work! :)
I wish this had audio, especially gun and decompression sounds ;) I liked playing it, surviving another MomCorp attack felt strangely satisfying. It wasn't always clear to me whether crew deployments to a certain station were having any effect or whether I was doing it wrong. After a while the progress indicators stopped working (or so it seemed), no idea whether the stations were actually detroyed but I don't think so since the guns kept firing and the shields kept regenerating. Another thing I didn't quite understand was the money kept counting down until it was gone.
Also: why did you opt out of Humor? It's one of the *rare* LD games that *could* actually be rated on that category
I just played your game. In the first moment it was hard to understand and the tutorial was feeling a bit unconmfortable but I got used to it on a second try quite quickly.
You dcan find more feedback in the VOD of our stream.
