A really creative puzzle concept, and the theming and dialogue really make it stand out.

I tried playing with a controller, and the control scheme felt quite awkward - I instinctively expected to use the control stick to go forwards and backwards, and had to manually adjust to using the bumpers for that. Also, having to hold down the right shoulder button and right bumper at the same time to move with a mine was difficult.
I liked the touch of having sunken warships scattered throughout the map, a nice bit of environmental storytelling. Diving deep into the underwater trench also felt very spooky, compared to the bright and almost cozy feeling at the surface.
I liked the scoring system and how it actually gave you more points for dodging more difficult lines.
Also, the BGM goes hard!
Having a time penalty when souls "time out" is far too punishing, and makes it near-impossible to survive for very long once many souls start spawning.
The instructions were difficult to understand, but once I figured out how to play the game was very easy. It would have been more fun if it was more challenging, especially if it got harder as you got deeper.
