Great job! The game looks nice, and the audio is really good, but the "running out of space" process seems prety slow

I loooove the mood
@erendelous Yeah, but it was more of an over time kind of build up. The waves do go infinitely though :D Thanks for the feed back!
@Alpagakira Thanks! Spent restless nights working on this :D
I really like it. The music, art and gameplay mesh together very well. The fact that fighting back is pointless and only makes it harder as you go further is brilliant and fits the theme well. Reminds me of the binding of isacc and hopeless. Def one of my favorites!
@somuch Thanks :D I greatly appreciate it! Makes it worth those long hours spent on this. By the way, there's animations for a lot of the objects in the game, even the spawning of the little holes I thought were really cool.
Very good atmosphere, looks great, but the controls are a little strange. Really enjoyed the artwork, I can see you put in a lot of effort there.
@Predominant Yeah... I wanted to mostly focus on the animating/artwork/mood part of the game... and ended up spending more time on those aspects then improving the actual gameplay/conbtrols. The code actually came last and because I spent more time then I would've liked on the art I didn't get to add the other content I wanted to add to this game.
Other then that, glad you enjoyed it :D
@naemis yee I noticed the animations. They are accounted for in your rating *winky face* Couldn't get past wave 3 though
What can I say, I ran out space. Simple game concept (Attack enemies until dead) but I like the twist that you throw baddies to stop the baddies. The ambience is very limbo esqe and the piano man, spoopy.
@nate-wec Yup! One of my favorite games from when I was a lot younger was Limbo. I actually didn't do it with the intention of giving it those vibes though, it just kinda turned out like that. Guess that's the power of inspiration, eh?
@naemis true that, true that.
Very nice idea. Amazing mood, graphics, sound!
I like the walking animation at the beginning and the fade out on the light bulb at the end. Along with the music, it sets the mood very well. It would be nice to have some sound effects. The eyeballs are creepy.
@aviv871 Appreciate the comments :)
@mrjorts I actually have a lot of sound effects for the game, I just didn't have time to add them because the game was virtually unplayable the last 2-3 hours and had to fix it haha.
This was interesting. I thought I had to follow the light initially, but I realized it's where the enemies spawned at. The music, art and ambience was really captivating, and as for the gameplay, not too easy nor too hard. I got up to Wave 4~
@lexyvil Thank yooou! This game took a lot out of me so it means a lot :D
this game has a really good mood to it, the art feels minimalistic but really effective and I love the background music, could do with some in game souds though maybe. Good job
Super blue and really smart use of the theme as fighting makes it even more difficult, but it is only natural to try and fight. Brilliant!
If to give some constructive feedback:
· Wish there was something I could do to either avoid the little ones, or kill them, maybe time itself?
· The mood was awesome, but the pixels were a bit big for the resolution, consider using less pixels for the same information and the game will look even better!
Super cool entry, one of my favs, good job!
@dark-roast-studios Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I really did want to add more sfx and I did have them, I just had 5 minutes left before the end of the compo and I didn't have time to add them.
@manusaiz Oh! You're the person who made Grandma Knight! Thanks for the feed back :D I didn't have time to add any more mechanics to the game (like dodging per se), I was literally stressing out because I didn't implement the wave system 3 hours before the compo ended and I never done a wave system before xD.
Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot. Yeah it does feel a little tight. Will toy around with it more.
The mechanics matches the theme really well. At first I got surrounded by the enemies at the lower right corner and died. :laughing: By playing the game I can feel your stress. I like how the darkest space is under the light!
Visual, music and moood in general are pretty nice but I really don't understand the goal of the game. But maybe I didn't notice obvious thing.
The mechanic of shooting monsters make the game more difficult is really cool, but as Lexyvil in first I though that I have to follow the light. So yes more signs and feedbacks would be great. The mood is pretty cool ,great job
