I like this idea of mixing up a platformer with a top-down shooter, especially with such good art and sounds, well done.

Very nice graphics in the game. Responsive player controls
This is a preety awesome game, the graphics and soundtrack are incredible, and they work so well to create an atmosfere. Good job guys
I really liked the minimalistic pixelart graphics and the game core mechanics. While it is easy to understand and use, the hacking parts were nowhere as easy. Couldnt pass from the one where the ground is red before a gate thing.
What i didnt like was that the music was (in my opinion) too low, and it didnt had sound effects for the shooting, 'boss' getting hurt, jump, etc...
Another thing i guess it was lacking is a progress bar in the hacking scenes. Often i would be shooting at the boss but it was not on camera, so i couldnt really know if i was hitting it or not.
But these are minor issues. It is an outstanding entry for such a small timeframe. Excellent job!
Absolutely fell in love with the aesthetic. Mechanics were also tight and well implemented. Gamejam aside, I think this could be a really sweet full game!
Wow, this is stunning! Such fantastically detailed art in such a short amount of time. Also loved the merging of platformer and bullet-hell and how it fits with the theme. I loved the music too, but wish it were louder and some of the sound effects could be punchier.
What I'm really gunna remember about this game though is the creepy cyberpunk aesthetic. Some of those boss designs were perfection (especially that skull!).
Wow, the returns so far are pretty encouraging! Regarding @derek-volker 's feedback: - Indeed, there have been some hiccups on accessibility. The sprinting mechanic (red gate area, I think) wasn't that well tuned, and originally we had a map that didn't even require it. I do wish as well that we could have extended the platforming sequence as well, to make better use of all that code haha. As well, boss health bar should have been an obvious thing to add >< - It is odd that you had sound issues. It is turned down a fair bit, but it was possible on our machines to get the volume high enough. As for sfx, the game does have some - but it doesn't play any if it might overload the machine's sound card, so maybe that's it? Thanks again, cheers!
This game has a potential. I really liked mini-hacking games.
Controls are a little bit uncomftable. Especially in platformer mode. And especially for jumping.
P.S. Please, use ZIP instead of RAR.
@sigod thanks! Though, what's the issue with RAR? Since we're getting feedback from you, I assume you handled it?
Incredible game! I felt the side-scrolling part a bit laggy, but the topdown-shooter part is just incredibly polished for a jam, congratulations on a fine entry!
@fusionnist, I first heard it from streamers. Basically: RAR requires separate program, when support for ZIP is built-in.
Great fun game. Great art style
Hi you put really a lot work into this, i enjoyed it much, platformer levels could be a little bit harder thou, maybe some environmental logic puzzles as rest moment between fast-paced top down shooter arenas. Also i had little problems with jumping, something was a little bit off i think with timing. Anyway i had a great time finishing it - really nice perspective change with last boss- *refreshing* . Thanks for the game!
Bullet hell games are not my cup of tea but I can't help but admit that this is a solid idea very well executed.
I had fun with this one, I really love how you face a challenge for each upgrade. Those two red blob faces were the most challenging, but in a good way. Also I'm glad to see other Monogame users on here. The only bug I found was that I spawned at the end of the level when the game restarts after finishing it.

Great game, folks! I must admit I really like your style, and music was really adding to atmosphere. Nice idea with the hacking required to obtain your body control back, never seen that before. Shooter levels were fun, and I greatly adore the enemies design. The only complaint was that they were a bit tedious — for a jammer it's sometimes hard to spend more than 10-15 minutes per game, so I'm happy that you've included health regen. But if I'd be you I'd tune enemy health down even further. User-testing might've pick that one up, don't know if you had time for that, but it's usually a good idea to obtain as much playtime from non-devs as possible during the jam, even at the cost of content.
As I said, I really like the idea of two gameplay styles mixing together, and it was a bit sad that the real world was merely a convoluted progress bar between shooter levels, I'd be happy to have more action there as well.
@a333 Thanks for the CC and im glad that you enjoyed our game!
- Yeah, we should have tuned down the boss health so it wouldnt be so grindy on most of the fights, and we wanted to add more movement and combat mechanics to the platformer stage but ultimately we were low on time so we focused most gameplay on the top-down shooter phases.
I really liked the cyberpunk mood, pixel art and the top down shooter polish!
Thank you for the game! It was very good!
This is certainly the most polished game I'll play in LD45. Great work!
This game is awesome! It's like a mixture of Mission Impossible and System Shock - two games in one, amazing! The music is great! Only downside is that it's too f... hard! Got to the fourth hack and had to quit after several tries. Anyway, the game design behind it is really sophisticated, I'm just to clumsy for it.
This game is really impressive, the graphics are fantastic, and everything feels well put together. I will say that I wish that jump was mapped to space, and I played the game in windowed mode which made the shooter parts harder to do as my cursor would frequently leave the screen area. The shooter parts could also likely have been improved with some kind of health bar or a wider field of view. Overall I think this is really promising, and well done, just a couple issues here and there. Also I didn't have any issues with the rar (7zip ftw)
Very nice visual style and fast game play. Nice work!
impressive graphics and comfortable control! dramatic!
Pretty great entry, love the art and sounds thought the music is lacking for epic boss fights, and they are pretty easy as you can spam shoot to achieve minigun like effects. Still a great entry good job!
Great game. It is impressive how you essentially made two games and combined them into one. The progression feels pretty rewarding. Sprinting is somewhat awkward (very fast and useful in only one part) and the SHMUP portions could had used a bit of a invicibility-on-hit. Despite this I had a blast with the challenge and the final SHMUP was really fun.
Game seems really cool, a little visually busy which can make it tough to identify things. Maybe shrink the size of the muzzle flashes.
