Once I started this game there was no stopping me. I HAD to grab everything, that's how compelling the theme and presentation was to me. I think a big part of that was that it was single screen gameplay so I could see all my goals at once, but knew I could only swim so far at first. Definitely a 5/5 on theme, I haven't seen anything better this jam and probably won't.
I loved that there was a mix of objects above water for you to plan for, and then objects below the water when you had the resources to risk grabbing them. It provided a mix of strategy and luck to me. Even though the objects weren't TOO different it was still a perception thing.
Ultimately what I like most about this was that you can call it YOUR raft. Not just the custom layout everyone will inevitable differ on, but even the little touches like tossing the radio or keeping it, and simple plant placement made it feel homely which is shocking to me. That's not an easy feeling to achieve and you guys nailed it. I think the art style and color palette really contributes to this game being a nice, relaxing adventure. Amazing job as always, kudos to the entire team.

Absolutely loved the game!! Simple yet so much fun. The graphics, music and sfx are all great as well. At first I was struggling with running out of stamina and passed out a few times haha, but once I got a few plants growing and realized that you can eat the fish I was set. I did find however that my player would switch to swimming while positioned close to the lower half the raft, not a massive issue but it just seemed a bit odd. It would also be nice if items kept spawning as once you pick up all the floating items it doesn't seem that there is much left to do. All things considered I'd definitely like to play more of this game!
Haha like above I could not stop, I had 70k points when I stopped, the game is really really good and I loved it! Wished there was more, a lot of potential here, I love the pokemon feel in it too, well done!
There are a lot of small details that make your game simple yet very addictive, I spent almost one hour optimizing my raft. Really cool game GG
Really good game here. The only thing missing is more stuff to do once you've built your raft besides fishing. If there were more recurring things I could have played this for hours, that's how relaxing it is. As it stands though, the journey to build the big raft was very nice. I especially liked getting my first plant so I could have a renewable food source. Well done!

I love this idea! Very clever way to start with nothing and build. I did keep "dying" while I thought I was on my raft island but was technically in the water. Love the art style as well.

That was quite relaxing once my raft was large enough for me to stop drowning all the time :stuck_out_tongue: It took me a while to figure out food :eyes:
Art and audio are cute and fitting and I loved the little quirky features like dropping the radio in the ocean.
Great job to all involved :thumbsup:

Seriously enjoyable and relaxing. Drowning and the energy took some time to figure out but super enjoyable! Clever radio thing btw hahah.
Only bug I found was if you drown you can still pickup and object in the drowned state and it will teleport back with you!

It was fun! :) I missed some final goal or a lose condition to make it more of the game, but besides that, it's a really relaxing little game about building your very own raft. :) Solid rafting experience.
I just don't understand what is the duck for... hahahahhaa what an addictive game...

This was pretty sweet! I stopped after reaching 77150 points, on a Fabulous Colossal Raft ruled by the Queen. My only question is, do the 3 spooky masks or the Treasure Chest do anything?

Very charming, love all the titles that progress as you build! One thing is I found staying on the raft a little finicky at first since there's a water animation tied to the player, so it seems like they're swimming on top of the raft. Great work!

Gorgeous graphic style, nice pixel art. Simple and elegant game. The game is addictive for a long time. Especially want to find all the items in the game and understand their purpose. Just tried to go beyond the screen) Just want to note the beautiful soundtrack.
I was excited to come here, I have been a fan of your entries since I first came across one of your games that was Wreckless Rally. I like the calm mood of this game, and the diving mechanic was a nice touch =) Constructing stuff is always fun and what better than to revive some childhood memories of raft building. The one I built as a child was the size of one of those pieces though =) As much as I love doing low poly, you seem to love doing pixel art games and I am a big fan of that genre too. Nice relaxing game play and creative twist with naming the raft sizes in a funny way. Great work and see you in LD46!

This is the only movable object that I didn't find anything special to do with, so I guess I've maybe missed something? Very nice game, cool music, everything feels very polished. Only critic point: It is to easy. But anyway, one of the best games in LD45 I have seen so far.

That was fun! And surprisingly addictive, I wish there was more to explore. I like how the raft is bobbing around.
It took me a while to figure out how the nets worked (I couldn't see when it was filled with a fish), but then they turned out to be quite useful in supplying more wood as long as I kept clearing them out of fish.
Very nice touch to let the radio control the cool music.
I like the graphics as well! But I did notice that some sprites were drawn on top of sprites that you expected to be more in the foreground (for example the bags). Also the player figure sometimes seemed to swim on top of the raft, because his feet seem to decide if you are swimming or walking, but in the swimming animation the feet are invisible under water. (And in the swimming the player will expect the shoulder area to be deciding.) scrshotLDBob2.png
Since the game doesn't seem to have a clear end (actually for a while I was wondering if I could really find a mermaid...), at some point I decided to stop. :wink:

Really fun collecting game! Nice use of the theme. Love the pixel art and all the things to collect. I got worried there for a while after I had collected all the things and didn't see any mermaids.

Fun game! I was thinking for a final to this game, but I think there's no one... I like the concept, the sounds, the artstyle.. Very compleate! Good job in overall!

That was surprisingly addicting! I really love how the radio's just there at the start (and how it serves a purpose). There was nothing but fish in the water for a while at the end, but that's the beauty of simulating being patient when adrift. I'd really love an extended version of a game like this.

Great job. I was expecting to give it a casual spin and kept playing. I think the randomness of things turning up underwater, and finding something new/unexpected was the compelling part.
AS other have said, it'd be cool to see a longer / extended version of this. :smiley:

Such an awesome entry! Loved every bit of it. Graphics were outstanding, the music was super chill and soothing. Took me about half an hour to collect everything and have a glorious 5 star raft. Very addicting gameplay. The only thing I would add is made some storyline, like a quick slide of intro to explain what happened to Bob and then some sort of end (I didn't reach one so not sure if there is one?) to the game. Love the use of the theme and super fun to play. Definitely in the top 3 entries that I have played this LD!

Cute and relaxing :dog: I was a little confused by the battery symbol at first
I grabbed everything on screen and was wishing for more stuff to float by. It's a really fun game. Found the mermaid even. Played a second time and it went way faster, but still fun.
