Hyyype, really enjoyed it, a bit harder for me tho hahaha, good game bro!

he-li 2023-10-03 03:31

really nice drawings! game is kinda hard for me. love to have a more easier mode

anciententity 2023-10-03 03:41

Enjoyed this one a lot! Unique take on the theme that isn't just "place this in here". Good job!

salaro 2023-10-03 03:46

The game is difficult but really rewarding, amazing job!

stvup 2023-10-03 03:47

Took me a bit to get the mechanic down but after that it was great, my biggest complain would picking and dropping tools until I got the right one. Aside from that solid game!

metagen 2023-10-03 03:49

Agh, felling into the water within a minute again... If this was a bit easier then I could give 5/5 to this.

metagen 2023-10-03 03:49

BTW I played web version and there is a bug when title menu goes black clicking menu button in game over

Very fun game mechanics once you get the hang of them. Lots of replayability and different strategies to try and beat your high score. Fits the theme well imo.

Thanks for all the feedback! To anyone whos finding the game pretty difficult, stick with it! Once you get into the flow it becomes easier.

blackcat508 2023-10-03 04:17

Thanks for pointing out the bug @metagen I just updated the game files to include the fix

I kept dying the first few runs at the very beginning, but once I knew how to play, I managed to get up to 22 feet. It really has you choose carefully what you build--From what I know, trees are you friend.

thelastslowpoke 2023-10-03 14:17

Super fun! Interesting idea! Stressful xD Managed to go to 32 feet on second and third run. I would love to use the scrap blueprints and see what they do. I will come back to this.

blackcat508 2023-10-03 15:22

Thanks for playing @thelastslowpoke ! Scrap can only be obtained through breaking the barrels(one spawns on the starting platform) the higher up you go the more barrels you will find!

thelastslowpoke 2023-10-03 15:30

Yeah, @blackcat508, I am aware, I will try later ^^

Interesting game, it took me a few minutes to get used to the controls but once they was done, the ascension was smooth. good idea to have the high score marked, I only wanted to go higher. Wasn't able to use all the items, but I'll continue trying. ^^

I Absolutely love this game! I really like the idea of the game, the art, and the time management mixed in with the limital space. You did an amazing Job!

blue-pin-studio 2023-10-05 06:46

This game is hard! I only managed to get up to the second tree after maybe 20 attempts. The water coming to get me in the beginning could've been a bit more gentle, or maybe an easy mode or something.

I got the premise eventually and managed to get up there. Good entry!

greenpig 2023-10-05 23:54

Very simple and casual game, i love to see these in ludum dare. I got the controls in 2 minutes and got to 54 feet on my 2nd try. Really polished graphics and controls. Good work!

lenny-rudeberg 2023-10-07 05:15

Great job! I really liked the concept but struggled to get a grip of the controls and mechanics before the water level started to rise and never made it too far.

human-writes-code 2023-10-07 05:16

Cool idea and nice graphics. The early game is very hard when you first start playing because you don't really have the chance to learn the controls before you die, which is frustrating. After dying early on a few times you get the hang of the controls, though. It would be nice if you didn't have to manually drop an item before you pick up another item - pressing E when standing over an item should just drop your current item and pick up the other one (just my opinion).

Overall, though well made game and a strong concept!

crylica 2023-10-10 05:54

haha, it's hard but i like the concept, haven't seen anyone else run with the same idea. I had some troubles drag/dropping the building while holding the building tool, it wasn't detecting my clicks properly. I'm not sure if it's because the itch.io web resolution is very small on my 2k monitor?
