Unfinished Sacrifice by mukult 2018-12-04T10:27:09Z
I've been so excited to see your end result since your teaser image. I don't suppose you have a Mac port?

This game is gorgeous! (And definitely should not be played with a trackpad!) UI is clean and well defined. Animations are crisp. Overall, a very cohesive entry that doesn't put a huge amount of emphasis on the theme, but is a LOT of fun to mess around with. Would definitely buy a full version of this game if released n Steam.
The minimalist art style was pretty cool. I think adding some tooltips to explain the game mechanics will help a lot! The only technical issues I noticed was the collider for the cult members seems to be 2D and only work if they are facing the camera. Gute Arbeit! ;)
@norfma Hi there! Sorry about that. The bouncing red guy is a button. I should explain that in the description. Sorry about that!
@mukult Ahhh!!! I'm so excited! And thank you so much for playing!
@chauchau Thank you so much! I'll give your game a try when I get back to a place with decent internet!
@annagavaldakedavra Thanks for your input. I agree that ultimately, the timer was either too quick or should have been removed altogether.
@tinymushroom I'm so glad you enjoyed the game! I'll definitely give your game a go when I get back to a place with decent internet. I wholly agree with you on the UI stuff. Truthfully I should have spent a little more time to adding some tooltips here and there. Something learned for next time ;)
We played this on stream ([twitch.tv/saphirako](https://www.twitch.tv/saphirako)) and I was absolutely in love with it. It looked incredible and was really fun to play, even if it's missing some core content.
**What went well:** * Cursor is clear * Controls are comfortable
**What could use a second look:** * The interaction of moving units into the active queue could be a bit streamlined for better UX. (Basically, once I click on a unit in the top row, it would be nice for the cursor to snap to the unit in the reserves list automatically.)
While the loop content isn't completely realized, it's clear to see where you were going to go with it. I hope you guys get a chance to finish this!
@eduardo-yukio ty for the feedback!!! (This is Saphirako, yea 😊) We're so glad you enjoyed it. If we end up returning to it to make improvements on it, these are definitely things on the list to adjust!
@tino We love feedback!!! We used ray-casting mixed with Unity's built-in NavMesh Agent. We were pretty happy with it and are glad you thought it worked well.
As for the ratings: We actually are playing games over the course of the weekend! We're both super busy during the week, but for sure will be rating any/all suggested games and whatever pops up on the screen that draws our attention.
@zachary-granger Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the game. We definitely agree that just popping back at the beginning of the loop without warning is unsatisfying and, to be quite honest, a little frustrating. We were hoping to add some visual warning about loop closure and a flash when you snapped back to the spawn point but we ran out of time.
Your feedback has been added to our list of things to consider if/when we do a post-jam build. :)
@elysiagriffin & @eskooh -- We both really appreciate your feedback and kind words! We look forward to seeing you both in the next jam. 😉
We played this on stream ([twitch.tv/saphirako](https://www.twitch.tv/saphirako)) and had an absolute blast!!! I'm god-awful at bullet-hell games and _still_ I had a great time playing it.
**Things that went well:** * Camera control is well thought out * Movement handles perfectly * Sound has a ton of cute little homages and is overall a bop
**Things that could use a second look:** * You may want to let people know how to play in-game (that may have been what the help menu was for?) * Having audio controls would be kinda nice
Honestly, my critiques are kinda similar to the above ones and all of them are things that are kinda picky for a game jam entry. Very well done!
We played this on stream ([twitch.tv/saphirako](https://www.twitch.tv/saphirako)) and had a grand ol' time!
**What went well:** * Visual feedback for the health is smart * Different weapon design is very creative * Music sounds great and the SFX fit nicely with the visuals
**What might need a second look:** * Having some sort of visual indication of where I'm aiming might be useful * Having the ability to control audio-levels would be nice to have
Someday, maybe, I'll manage to hit the leader board. 😠Excellent contribution to the jam. Congratulations!
