Web link is broken :(
@william-overton Yes it launched the LD46 game - so I'm battling the web server. Will comment when it's ready. Sorry about the inconvenience.
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Unique art style!
@craftwill Thank you very I think  could swing both ways
@william-overton The Dev build is runable now; looking into the fact that the full release wont execute - it freezes at 90% load
And full Web GL build works now as well; compression had to be disabled (apparently a known error).
Info in this thread if others encounter the problem on their own build: https://forum.unity.com/threads/webgl-stuck-at-90-loading.532707/

Cool idea! I was a little worried it would be a classic roguelike at the start, but I like the idea that each level is its own little puzzle. The sound effects started off cool, but ended up being pretty harsh after hearing them a bunch of times, and an in-game mixer to reduce the volume of SFX would have been nice.
I also found myself getting stuck on terrain quite a bit, which made the more action-packed dodging sections more frustrating than challenging.
Good fun, I liked the exploding doors until I accidently ran into one. I would have liked the death scene to be faster
Loved the Game! I liked the art and how the character talked to himself. Some of the lines made me chuckle : ) I really liked the simple controls and the realisation that i could use the trap to kill those snakes. Amazing work
My explosive door says this is a really well done and polished game. And I trust my explosive door.
@aran-ink We actually talked about a last minute volume control, but a little worried that we might introduce something "unwanted" in the "sprint section". Do you remember where you got stuck? During testing in the development phase we more often than not boltet directly for the path we knew was the correct one - so could easily have missed something
Thank you very much for playing :purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
@beardywombat - at some point the game should have told you that pushing 'R' even in the dying phase will actually speed that up  Because yeah - dying is slow ...
Thank you very much for playing :purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
@zen Thank you very much - so happy that you had fun playing
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
@fedora You should always trust your exploding doors  Hope you enjoyed the game
Thank you very much for playing :purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
cute artstyle, it's fun and i love it well done
@kisk Thank you very :smile:
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
I really like these graphics and sound effects, theme wise it does seem like a simple respawn. Game is a lot of fun though but frustrating when I die at the final boss and have to do the final level all over again, I couldnt do it. Overall great job.
@digitaldude555 Thanks for the feedback. We had a lot of going back n' forth regarding the last boss, it's hard for us to judge really, as we became masters at our own game! - regarding the loop theme, we tried to emphasize it even more with the dialogues telling the player how this magical dungeon keeps resetting him. (and oh, also the fact that you become the boss after defeating him, but if you didn't complete it, you sadly haven't seen the ending)
Thanks a lot for playing!
@nfmynster Ah you become the boss, thats very interesting.
@digitaldude555 yeah, the dialog that introduces the boss tells you that it's "me" :)
@nfmynster ah - my partner in crime
@digitaldude555 and yeah - we were really debating the difficulty level for the last level; We still wanted the game to be fun and that meant a little difficulty was needed - but only to extend where the player didn't rage quit (some maps we did our VERY best to aim for amping up the raging but tried to tone it a bit back on the last one).
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Nice game. Liked the small puzzles on each level. Seems like the game was very well balanced in terms of difficulty. Got to the boss in what I assumed was the end, but didn't manage to kill him (me?). Thank you for the game - it was quite addictive. Might go back later to have another go at the boss. Oh, and also *explode*
@m0dsat Thank you for playing and the feedback - if there was a spinner on the level - then yeah that would be the last level.
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Amazing work! Cute pixel art and great music! Sfx volume is a bit too high. Sometimes I also get stuck in a wall
@coding4rtist Thank you very much ... I would love to know which wall it is ... it's never nice to be stuck to a wall
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
@purpledartfrog it happened to me twice, the first time was in the starting room, but i don't think it depends on the wall. I think it was another entity that pushed me into the wall
@coding4rtist Thank you very much for the hint; I just played through the first room in the dungeon and I didn't seem to get caught anywhere ... when you say starting room - is that the Inn on the ground level? This might make sense as NPC's roam around up there
Again.. thank you very much :thumbsup_tone1:
Quite good, puzzles are not too difficult. Maybe in a time loop way it would make more sense if if you open a door and you die the door would stay opened. (for example the 3rd level where the arrow shoots you)
ineresting idea, good graphs)
Good game, very polished and addictive, nice humor. Has that "just one more try" quality.
Nice graphics and details i love that retro artstyle.
I liked the game! Sound effects were very fitting, although a bit too loud. Showing how often I died makes me remember how bad I am at video games. More often than not, a door exploded right in my face
An unusual game, I like the music and SFX the most. My total deaths - 22 ~~im n00b~~ Also there is a kind of "bottleneck" in the room with many snakes, but its okay.
great job I really liked it a lot I really liked the staircases but I got stuck on level 3.the game was extraordinary it is amazing that you made it in 2 days.
@purpledartfrog Yes, I meant the Inn. Probably it was the brown ghost
@rost Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing; I suppose that comes down to which kind of time loop we are talking about
@vsi Thank you very much for playing - we're quite happy with the result
@pixelmoose-studio Thank you for playing and yeah actually none of us were artists by any stretch of the imagination  but that being said - I'm happy with the result and to me it actually looks to be on purpose this time around
@bridgeonastick Thank you for playing and yes we discussed making volume controls in the finishing hours - but opted out of it ... hoping that people could live with turning down the volume in general  And yeah - I know the feeling ... especially when play testing and dying to my own "hidden" turret - the one where you open the door and it fires directly at you :face_palm:
@ninjacatz Thank you ... We'll take that as a compliment  I suppose it's nice to stand out  22 is actually not that bad  could have been me ... and I know exactly where stuff is and how it acts  and thank you again for playing
@theceases Thank you for playing ... quietly wondering if that's where some of the other guys also got stuck... will look into that  And on a side note.. for a Jam (not Compo) entry it's actually three days ... but yeah - when I compare to my own previous entries we came a long way - a long long way actually... so absolutely stoked
@coding4rtist I think that would make sense and thank you for returning with that input  @nfmynster so it's the Inn that's the culprit
@purpledartfrog if u want u can rate my game)
@vsi just rated and left a comment  actually plan to do that for every comment in here .. just haven't had the time today  so taking a stab at it tomorrow
Very good game  This makes me so mad. I love it!
I wish I could have seen what the ending is like. I don't think the final boss is too hard, but I did have to quit it because it was all taking so long. Waiting for the enemies to get themselves killed and rewatching an unskippable dialogue every time before you can get to the boss makes the whole process very lengthy... It seems like an interesting boss fight too, I wish I could spend more time playing it instead of the section before it.
Great job on this!
@smoothie thank you so much  and making people mad was a parameter  and thank you for the feedback .. I said it in an earlier comment I think - you can actually "skip" the death sequence by hitting 'R' - I don't know if that would have helped
Thank you again
@smoothie Thanks for the feedback, not being able to skip the boss dialog have come up a few times. If it's any help, my good friend completed the boss with 64 deaths haha. He was pretty mad regarding the wait time as well!
@nfmynster @smoothie 64 x what ... 3 seconds .... well that's like 192 seconds of waiting to die....
Really cool. I like how you've used the theme. You might want to put in the description that pressing R skips the death dialogue, as I only saw it when came to write this.
Those god damn exploding doors haha! Very cool game :)
I like the graphics ! Good job
I liked the variation of the game. Many different elements and regiƵes. It hardly falls into the routine and repetition. There is always a new surprise.
Overall I liked the game, but I found it frustrating how many times when I would enter a new level for the first time, I would die not because I lacked skill but because I'd never played the level before and didn't know where the traps were or what they looked like.
The game didn't really seem to follow the theme very well... I guess the repeated deaths loops you back to the start of the level, but that's not really being stuck in a loop I would say. I am also not a fan of mechanics where you basically have to get past by brute force and trial and error, which seems to be the design here. Besides that though, the game itself was well implemented and had quite a bit going on in it for a game jam game, so nice work there!
A lot of fun, I died so much on the last level :joy:
I just couldn't win the bossfight. It's really hard and you have to redo the whole section every time. More forgiveness there would be nice.
Otherwise really cool game that gets around unnecessary mechanics. I feel like the theme wasn't as palpable as in some other entries i played.
Really fun as well and thats the most important!
Cool game, actually got hooked for a while and i am very glad you added the restart button. Well done and for anyone reading this, doors are your greatest enemy
This game reminds of Realm of the Mad God. Very fun game and an interesting mechanic. It took a little bit to figure out what I was supposed to do, so I would include a tutorial next time. Great work!
@wevel Thank you very much for playing; Just added it to description in here
@jonrei Yeah stay away from those
@kpedatte Thank you very much  and thank you for playing
@gurigraphics Thank you very much and thank you for playing
@bellringerquinn actually that's a good point - some kind of introduction to each - might have made sense  Thank you for playing
@doomshmuck Thank you very much for the feedback; I think it might come down to expectations - the story itself is a loop and you're stuck in it. Making the loop a part of the actual game mechanics or visuals of course makes it "more in your face". About the brute force - It's of course really difficult to say, but it might be related to playstyle. You do have valid point that's highly unlikely to complete it without dying.
Thank you very much for playing though
@thecreator I feel you  did the same and still do on some levels
@willoxs Really good input - we actually discussed the forgiveness/difficulty balance in detail when developing; we wanted people to struggle with last part, but only to an extent where they still got the full story  You're not the first to mention palpability on the theme.... problem is that it's mostly imbedded in the story which requires players to "catch" the story - which requires time when playing and for most playthroughs it's simply not feasible
Thank you very much for playing
@zoomer Thank you so much for playing ... and yeah stay away from those things
@snowinn Thank you for playing and yes ... tutorials are a really really good idea.. we thought that most of it was self-explanatory.. but it rarely is  shame on us  Didn't know "Realm of the mad god" but I see the resemblance
A fine game with souls like vibes and fine dark humour. Nice work.
@tricky-fat-cat Thank you very much and kudos to your entry as well .. that was an impressive entry  and thank you for playing ...
Fun puzzle game, the only thing I found annoying was that the sounds were a bit too loud. good job!
@mumaitron Thank you for playing and the feedback  yea - some have commented on that - the volume controls were not prioritized during the closing hour ... figured people might just turn down the volume
Glad you enjoyed the game :thumbsup_tone1:

It would have been so easy for me to just take the 5 off the end of that screenshot... but I had to be honest.
From the first 30 seconds, I definitely didn't expect to play for so long. It looked so simple! A couple good thinkin' parts later, a couple laughs at the futility of life, and I encountered the evil me. When he told me that he was the only me, it was a challenge I could not back down from. Well done!
@caeonosphere That soooo funny  and I know exactly that feeling - even during development I took time to play through several times  Big thank you for playing and sharing the (honest) screenshot  :thumbsup_tone1:
Have a great one
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Art style is awesome! Very good game!
@eugenik Thank you very much and thank you for playing
Really solid game. I particularly enjoyed the lo res pixel art. You managed a lot in a little space. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would at first glance.
@arron-fowler Thank you very much; I actually enjoyed playing around with the 8x8 px
Hey, I played your game on stream! Here's the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765076622
Thanks for submitting your game!
Gosh dang explosive door!
I like this game a lot! I didn't expected it to be a puzzle game, but it works quite well. The retro presentation is great, and the sound design too! I especially like the game feel, it controls very well and the effects are very great. Maybe the death screen is a little too long? I don't know it might be just me. Anyway, great job!
@justcamh Thank you very much playing and rating  It's always a blast to see people playing without prior knowledge :thumbsup_tone1: and the fact that you seemed to enjoy it was fantastic  The best of luck with your own great entry :thumbsup_tone1:
@toulou yea - sorry about those  Thank you very much for the feedback and for playing :thumbsup_tone1: And yeah the death screen..... Not the first to comment on that ... Wups... You can actually skip by hitting R
Played the game on stream as well. Very cool and fun dungeon runner with Hotline Miami feel (instadeath). Managed to get to the main boss and failed miserably. I liked the concept of just having an item and proceeding to utilize it by movement instead of swinging or clicking use or anything, which made gameplay very smooth and enjoyable. Love the mood. Great Job! Keep up the good work!
@mikoziq So thrilled that you liked our entry  Is it possible to see the stream somewhere? Thank you so much for trying it out :thumbsup_tone1:
@mikoziq Hooooooly h**l .... you played a LOT on stream  :tophat: of to you
@mikoziq Just finished watching.... what a blast to see  it really gives a LOT of input ... We are planning on expanding a bit on it
@mikoziq / @justcamh hope it's ok I just updated the description with links to both your streams?
@purpledartfrog wow that's a lot of notifications. Sure no problemo :)
sorry about that
i like it good game
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Thank you very much for playing @can123ten  and yea I misuse that emoji sequence quite often  and just searched for a "can" in the list
:can: :count: :keycap_ten: but no dice
Very fun, and very challenging. I got stuck on the part with the shadowy guys who fire giant energy balls at you, I just couldn't dodge them quickly enough. I'll have to watch someone else's playthrough to see how you're meant to get past them.
The gameplay is very smooth and fast-paced, and I like the low-res graphics, but I feel like it could have made better use of the theme. Maybe it's just because I didn't get far enough into the game, but from what I could see, it's just a regular dungeon-crawler with the theme tacked onto the respawn mechanic. It's a good dungeon-crawler, definitely, but I feel like you could have done more with it theme-wise.
@f1krazy Thank you for playing  and you are absolutely right... using the theme for a simple respawn wouldn't be enough  We chose to put it into the story and :SPOILER: :SPOILER: you end up fighting your self in the dungeons... and thus becoming the new "dungeon master" :SPOILER: :SPOILER: Thank you for the input and I tend to agree with you - the first shadowy guys is actually rather difficult to get past ... you either need to be a little bit lucky and have a good sense of timing
@purpledartfrog please can you rate my game it is in danger category https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/twister
[The stream devolved into absolute lunacy when we started playing this, and I apologize in advance.](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/772739699?t=02h36m12s)
I enjoyed this one quite a bit! The humor was on-point, and the simple visuals did a good job of portraying everything in an easy-to-understand way. :) I do think it got a *little* too hard near the end where I stopped playing, but overall this was a super fun ride. Great job!
@coleslaughter noooo worries  seemed like you had fun playing .. so thank you for that :thumbsup_tone1: and yea I guess it was a touch on the difficult side
@coleslaughter I enjoyed your playthrough! Always nice to see you figuring out our leveldesign even when we should've done a better job making it clear. Thanks for playing! :)
Quite a polished entry, I especially liked the art style!
