really beautiful graphics, i was really impressed with the lighting and effects you got going on.

fonics 2020-10-06 04:26

@mikew thank you very much!

letterafterz 2020-10-06 04:29

Ahh this concept too me a while to get my head around. Very cool how the boxes just repeat their actions. Very challenging puzzle concept, but awesome once your brain starts to get it.

robbzenone 2020-10-06 04:33

Very nice Idea :) Fun to play :)

kassie-kitsune 2020-10-06 04:36

Great atmosphere and art, each puzzle was interesting with the rewind blocks, almost reminds me of a 2D portal, nice work!

ukulelefury 2020-10-06 04:43

Very cool game! I love the art. The looping mechanic is interesting, and leads to some fun puzzles! I got stuck in the hole on the third room, and didn't know what to do though.

FYI, The zoom on the web version on your itch.io page seems way to big.

snowinn 2020-10-06 04:46

These were some really great graphics and music to accompany it, it really had a great feel to it. The puzzles are a little hard to wrap your head around what you are supposed to do, but as there are only three they have to be challenging! Overall great game.

fonics 2020-10-06 04:48

@ukulelefury Thank you! Yeah the third puzzle was a little rushed and isn't very intuitive. And yeah getting Unity's pixel perfect camera to work properly with WebGL is a pain. Sorry about the canvas size, but thanks for sticking through it and playing! I'll probably post a solution/hint to the third puzzle on the itch.io page at some point for anyone that can't figure it out.

piscythe 2020-10-06 04:49

Really cool idea, if kind of jank in execution. I spent a few minutes trying to cheese the final puzzle with dumb physics shenanigans before realizing that there was a perfectly rational, non execution-dependent solution. The audio cues for the interactive elements were well done, but I wish there were good visual cues as well, particularly telegraphing which switch does what. I felt pretty smart when I finished, so I'd say you did pretty well on the puzzle front.

samelgamedev 2020-10-06 04:50

this is cool. it had a really awesome concept and i really liked the puzzles, although i never got to finish the third one. there are a few collision bugs here and there but i still really enjoyed it, good work!

fonics 2020-10-06 05:02

@piscythe Thank you! I had planned on implementing color differentiation for which switch/button does what as you can see on the first level, but ran out of time to implement them on the second and third. I agree it would have been helpful in solving the convoluted third one lol, thank you for playing!

fonics 2020-10-06 05:03

@snowinn Thank you! The amazing music was all done by my friend, his links are up in the description if you want to check out more of his stuff!

tad 2020-10-06 05:14

Great work, here! The graphics are really stellar and the concept is intriguing. Well done!

victor-hallock 2020-10-06 06:11

Great Job! Will play more later and try to beat it!

queenkrissu 2020-10-06 06:18

The graphics and lighting are so fantastic, and I love the atmosphere!

diptoman 2020-10-06 07:28

This was great! Hard to wrap your head around initially, but once you get the concept of what's looping (I initially thought the boxes were moving on my command) - it was a blast. The mood was great too - good stuff!

shortbread 2020-10-06 08:43

Love the concept! (reminds me on Tenet) This has a lot of potential, well done!

wormius 2020-10-06 15:36

Celver mechanic. I think I would like it more if the levels were bigger in comperason to the player. Feels abit clastrophobic.

theapplecake 2020-10-06 17:33

This is so great !

I loved the game mechanic and it has so much potential ! You really embraced the theme in such a good way with this.

The atmosphere is really well constructed as well and it really told a story while not having a single text. Excellent work !

eugenik 2020-10-07 06:17

Very cool

ethan-alexander-shulman 2020-10-07 16:47

I think puzzle mechanic could be expanded on a whole lot, create a much bigger game out of this.

shelvid 2020-10-07 21:20

One of the most interesting puzzle entries on the jam, visually awesome as well. Great job!

roikku 2020-10-07 21:21

Very puzzle. Much wow.

datadazer 2020-10-07 23:09

Really cool puzzle game! Loved the atmosphere and time looping effects. The player was a bit large and tight to fit between gaps. Overall super fun and very well designed levels!

aless 2020-10-07 23:21

My fav part of this game is the music, it creates a nice atmosphere along with the sfxs, good job!

nardandas 2020-10-07 23:40

I liked the concept, and the game was really atmospheric. I found the actual way the box looped at a pre-determined time kind of annoying, I would have liked to be able to choose when the box looped, just to make it a bit smoother experience. I feel like I *almost* figured out the third puzzle, but just couldn't finish it off. I might come back later and try to finish it.

samdwester 2020-10-07 23:42

Good job on your first Ludum Dare game! I liked the immersion/sound and graphics. I think the controls and hitboxes could use some work but overall it was good

forgeronstudio 2020-10-08 00:30

Wow. Really clever puzzles and absolutely beautiful visuals. I would love to see a post or video about what kind of techniques you used to to make the lighting and aesthetic so great, and I'm sure lots of other people would be interested too.

Congrats on a fantastic entry!

chipper1101 2020-10-08 01:35

I already checked some of it hehe. Great stuff @chipper1101 :)

blotosaur 2020-10-09 02:52

Very nice game! Collisions were a little finicky, did not interfere with the fun. Great job!

archgame 2020-10-11 22:21

I understood the concept pretty quick, but it took me a moment to see that ledge in the first level. I hope you continue this project post jam, it could be a really cool concept, I was surprised there weren't more that played with the theme in this manner.

ursagames 2020-10-12 01:03

Your game was played on my stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on 10/11. Thank you for sharing your game with us! You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://tinyurl.com/yy4oycvv

frecklebars 2020-10-13 22:23

this may as well be one of my favorite entires. the concept is so cool and fun to play around with. only downsides are some bugs with the collisions and the movement thats a lil sloppy, but other than that it was really cool to play!

philstrahl 2020-10-18 23:29

Hey Fonics, very cool concept, I struggled with a little bit at the beginning. I played your game on last week's stream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkR8lNDoteU Thanks for submitting! 😊
