Would like to see a WebGL version!
@rhoff95 I tried, but unfortunaly the itch.io isn't helping me... I tried all afternoon :/
I've gotten either 3 or 4 of the endings, and I really like the concept. However, after collecting the lighter in one day, I couldn't get it in any subsequent days - is that intentional?
@aurath did you get the final using the lighter?
This was really cool, the graphics and story were really engaging. I tried for a long time but, never got the true ending. I hope phil got to go outside :(
I really liked this! I see now that there were endings, I never got one I don't think, and I played for about 4 days, just doing the same task, so maybe make that a bit easier to get. The story intrigued me, and I was disappointed not to see an ending :(, even though the game itself is not that fun, I wanted to keep playing in order to find out what happened (no offense). Great job! Feel free to rate my submission as well :)
@clemonades and @n8dev thanks for the feedback! Please try it a little more and you will get the true ending :D
This seems like a really neat idea and I love games with multiple endings so if you port it online or to mac lmk !
@snowinn I am really trying to export online but the site isn't helping me :/ I will try again tomorrow :D
Love the graphical style of this game. Always nice to play some stuff with multiple endings although I am to personally to busy to try and see them all its nice to know they exist.
@theseusinabottle hey man, good news is: You can have all the endings in 30 mins! :D
Nice game love the concept and the execution, I made a similar game where you die and redo the same day, its not as polished as yours. I wonder when they announce the theme did you also think of Movies where they repeat the same day over and over.
@tauheed-game-dev THAT IS EXACTLY MY INSPIRATION HAAHAHAHAHA I AM SO HAPPY AND I WANNA SEE YOUR GAME RIGHT NOW!
883MB was a real test for my poor internet connection, had to wait 30 minutes to play this game, but well worth it in the end! I like how deep the main character is - "Or maybe we don't die" haha!
Really cool and interesting game! Phil got out in the end :)
Great look love the pixel art
Alright so I played it again, and ended up jumping out a window. I accidently interacted with the closet, and then I realized I could do that with everything. Great game!
Pretty fun to play. I ended burning the closet.
@cubiclaw thank you so much for waiting, I am happy it was worthy :D
@veeramandadraws thanks! did he really got out? hahahaha
@radgegames Yes, it was an amazing pixel artist that made them, the link of his page is in the itch.io page
@n8dev hahahaha I am happy that you liked :D
@gonzalol omg hahahaha but you saw the true ending?
Dude, you have webgl or osx version? if U need i can help building 4 u, i don't have windows :(
@castrolol I just posted a Web Browser in the site :D
I will be updating here! ^^
@rhoff95 @snowinn there is a version of web browser now! ^^
I thought it was a pretty interesting game, amazing art. Impressed that you made this in only 3 days. Check out my game if you get the chance, I would love some critiques from someone with so much experience
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida The graphics and music are lovely! a very nice conecept! congrats dude!
@feesh thank you a lot man! ^^ I am really happy that you liked my game, I will be looking yours and posting a feedback :D
@castrolol thank you! did you got the true ending?
Didnt understand how to reach the true end but the concept was fun nonetheless ! :) I wonder what's the true end, tho...
@endeavour2150 I swear that you will know what is the real ending when you get it hahaha
That was disturbing, but in a good way!
Interesting little game. I tried getting a different ending, and I saw a few things hinting to different endings, but I couldn't seem to use my lighter to burn things. Maybe I did something wrong? I still liked the little house and that everything was interactable!
Wow this game is awesome! I knew there were different endings but I didn’t expect to get MURDERED in this peaceful little game. You can never see what’s going to happen next and it’s a great puzzle I spent a while beating (I did it in 11 days !).I love the pixel art as well, it’s a really cool game.
@tchou thank you, in a good way hahahaha
@virtual-turtle-studio there is only one ending with the lighter hahahaha
@snowinn hahahahaha I am really happy to see this feedback ^^
Story-wise, I didn't get it. I got to the ending, but just kept trying a bunch of different combinations. This is really well put together, though. Good job!
Could you post some spoilers somewhere? I've managed to do lots of stuff, but I feel like I'm still missing something. For example, I got the "Luke Inn..." and "...your room" clues, but I don't know if this is about stuff I had already found in the room or not; and I think I tried everything with the clock and the magazines, but it didn't seem to change anything. Will the true ending stop the loop?
I'll keep trying later, anyway. Congrats for making such intriguing game...
@blotosaur yes, the game is a little open ending, but there is a true ending in fact ^^
@wendel-scardua The true ending "ends" the loop, but it's an open ending for the player basically and you can see how many days you died to complete the game :P
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Great job, I love the multiple endings!
That was very cool! I loved playing this game. It was very fun to explore, discover all the possibilities and figure out, how to get out of the loop. It's really well done! And the art is cool as well. Thank you for this experience!

Your English could use some proofreading and corrections. It's just a bit clumsy at times and it spoils the impression a bit in a game where you have to read to play.
I really liked it! Unfortunally coulnt get a good ending ahhaha
@etrealjunior I will be looking man! ^^
@dxk2294 thank you man :D
@fabula-rasa Thank your for playing and for the feedback, unfortunaly english isn't my first language so sometimes I still have some problems :/
@orange-oceans thank you for playing! There are a lot of endings, but you know when you get the true ending :D
Amazing game! I was really impressed by the level of polish, and I like that every clue in the house tells you a little about the real ending. I also thought you did a good job with the overall atmosphere - I was genuinely scared every time I died hahaha.
The funniest part was the cute music that plays when you die in your sleep...
@forgeronstudio omg, I am so happy that you liked this much! Can I put this feedback on my itch.io page?
Absolutely! I look forward to seeing your next game :)
@forgeronstudio if you wanna see more of my games, here is my twitter account ^^
https://twitter.com/gabrieldevbr
It´s cool but i don´t resolve :/
@colmaphis-games I hope you enjoy it, but there is a true ending, please keep trying, all the secrets are there! ^^
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida yes i enjoy it! a need more time exploring the room!
Nice pixelart. The sound really looks kind of sad. I better stop listening. hehe Good job
@gurigraphics please read the description of the game if you are gonna play it
I accidentally completed the game in 1 day in the first try when I just randomly chose to do and not to do stuff :D
@tomssuli please play it again to see the other endings!!! I promise you it will be different!
Not sure how i feel about this game! :D unique experience for sure.
@spawncampgames I am so happy to read this, a lot of streamers said the same :D
When I played again I found out the puzzle and what to do by hints. Also tried some "dead" ends :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: ...good game in a Stanley Parable way.
@tomssuli Yes, I have more references but Stanley is a great one! ^^
I like the mood really much, but I don't get the game? I'm finished in 1 day, maybe I missed something, anyway good work
@jajakeim try the other endings, it's fun to see all the puzzles!
nice little adventure game even the mood is quite dark :) Good job!
Man this is dark! I really liked the graphics and the music and the sad vibe was nice, to be honest. But it was too dark for me. Anyway I think the story is engaging and I really think a lot of people can enjoy this game. Great job!
@lohreck thank you so much for playing on your stream, I had a lot of fun watching you play it ^^
@mariana-mattevi thanks for trying! I posted with a CONTENT WARNING exactly because of that, a lot of people think the game is really cute because of the graphics
Heya! Thanks for submitting your game to my stream at [wwww.twitch.tv/drjavasaurus](twitch.tv/drjavasaurus). I had a great time playing it ! I am glad that you've decided to put up a warning as this is a very serious topic. It was brave to put that into a game, but I do feel it represents what these situations can bring forth... I like how all the triggers and events clicked together nicely. Well done !
This was pretty interesting! there were many hints to figure out. Some things were still a bit unclear but for a mystery game its nicely done!
Awesome man
@javasaurus thank you so much for playing my game I really loved seeing you trying to figure it out!
@jvdwijk thank you so much for the feedback!
@eugenik thanks for playing! ^^
Very well executed.
@squid-inc thanks man for the feedback :D
Thank you for including a trigger warning on your game, and thank you for bringing it to my stream.
The puzzle of how to get out worked pretty well, you left a nice trail of breadcrumbs throughout the game toward the solution.
As we discussed on my stream, the underlying story didn't quite work for me to have the intended effect, but I think it was a really interesting thing to attempt.
I've seen a couple of people play it now and I'm intrigued by how differently people react emotionally to the opportunity to manage the health of the house plant.
@marcmagus Thank you so much for the feedback man!
I was really happy to see you playing and the way you saw the game :D
Thank's for the warning. I did not find myself categorizing this game to depressed ones :) Definitely cool concept and good execution on the theme. I liked the simple visuals as well as audio. Tried thinking outside of the box which get me into 'good' ending ( I guess ? ). Job well done!
@mikoziq thank you so much man for playing the game ^^ I really enjoyed the feedback :D
Ha ha ha! I love how cheerful and innocent the music is when you die in your sleep! It never fails to amuse me!
Did probably more than 20 days, I give up.. I understand many clues but just can't find the right ending. Frustrating.
As for game, you did creepy part well, it is very cute and very creepy at the same time.
My game link is on my LD profile description, I didn't manage to submit it in time for LD, give it a try if you want.
@peace-of-cake-games thanks, I love it too s2
@kr4ft3r omg o.o
But I hope you still liked s2
Nicely put together. The art was strong and although the story is not really my kinda thing I was happy to continue through it. Good Job.
@arron-fowler I just sent you a feedback too about you game! Thanks so much for playing it, I am happy that you liked even thought isn't your type of game ^^
Very cool concept! LimeZu did a fantastic job with the art, and the music and sfx were very fitting and helped create an unnerving mood. Sadly I couldn't figure out how to progress the game past day 01.
Wow super cute and heavy, loved the graphics and the dialogues and just wow
I think that maybe there is a bug that makes the clock-fix sound the same as the watering-plants sound
(Anyways, I made different things but didn't get the end yet heh, probably I will re-play this in some days and give it a second try, could you give me a hint? :p, I can't pass day 1 aaa (I accept a No for an answer hahahah))
@overlook-studios thank you so much for playing the game! LimeZu is a great artist! So, there is a little clue that said you will know when I found the true ending!
@noam-blei yeah there is a little bug there and I will fix it! hahahaha You will know when you get the true ending, I promise you!
Damn, I think I got a bad ending...
The concept is really cool. I think I'll play it a bit more to see if I can get a good ending. Nice job.
@jd557 thanks a lot man ^^
I wish that the way to beat it was more obvious. Other than that, great game!
@pvplayz27 thank you so much, it was really fun to watch you play it ^^
Great job! I really liked this one and wanna play it a bit more to find other endings. Thank you for this experience!
@madnesssguschenka and thank you for playing it! ^^ I hope you found all the endings :D
this was definitly an expirience. It completley pulled me in and i spend the last 20 minutes playing.... i don't know if i even got one of the endings? there was a window one? Either way this was a very unique experience, i loved it, great job!
@mog13 yes, there are a lot of clues but there is one that said "You will know when you found the true ending!" Keep trying and you will see it... But I am really happy to see that you tried a lot ^^
I am gonna try your game too :D
The game was ok. I didnt really get passed day 1, i tried not doing some of the tasks that were recommended but the game never progressed. Im not sure how to progress at all. There were many spelling mistakes such as "get paint of the floor" and sometimes the watering sound effect played when i was doing something else. Even the art was glitchy, the painting that got hung up became a black line with a huge collision box.
@blue-pin-studio thanks for the feedback guys! I wished I saw you guys playing it!
So on initial playthrough I really liked the pixel art and the atmosphere set up with the music. Felt like a pixilated escape room. Unfortunately the longer I played, the less enjoyable it became, for a variety of reasons (note for some spoilers for those who haven't played):
- The polish took a hit when objects were destroyed but some of the pixels were leftover and the collision box remained. Also some sound effects were out of place (clock making a water noise) and some of the interactions were off (if looking at the drawer from the side, interacting gave me text for the window) - Having to interact with the same object multiple times is not intuitive for players. All the text for the closet should have been together. - The poor English, which is understandable when it is a secondary language, really takes away from the immersion. In a game like this that is very narrative/text heavy, this is can really impact the player experience. - The solution for the true ending just was not intuitive. I eventually got it but only by dumb luck as opposed to having an "a-ha" moment. Maybe I missed a clue or something, but I was pretty thorough and even after completing it was unsure how I was supposed to arrive at that solution with the clues given
Sorry for the wall of text. And I hope this doesn't seem harsh, it wasn't meant to be! I do think it is a good jam game. Just a lot of things that I think are very fixable and would improve the game as a whole. And things to consider if you make similar style games in the future!
@brorenata thank you for the feedback! I am really happy to see this feedback, because it shows that you care about the game s2
Your game was played on my stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on 10/12. Thank you for sharing your game with us! You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://tinyurl.com/yy4oycvv The queue was empty, so I moved on to the games marked "only play when present"
@ursagames thank you so much, I will be watching! ^^
Good looking sprites, nice game. Text color (blue) was hard for me to read, and it took me time to get used to the controls, but it was an enjoyable experience. good job
Your game is very interesting. I like the mechanics of having to interact more than once in the same place to find different information. The graphics are beautiful, and the music is cool. Good job.
@vphyre @arad-hamidsamiee thank you so much for the feedback guys! I hope you really liked the game! ^^
I wished I worked harder next time in the next Ludum Dare :D
Cool game, the art is very cute and I loved the soundtrack, I like the interaction with the scenery and the enigmatic disinformation. It was fun looking for the way out, although at first I thought I would really get stuck in the loop and end up giving up, but, I don't know how, I managed to get to the real end. Bom trabalho!
@joaog thanks man :D Glad you enjoyed it ! ^^ This is a different type of game that I use to work with
Really enjoyed the game and the overall design was super cute and remind me of the old Pokemon games! I wasn't able to get all the endings, however I'm definitely going to continue playing this game as I'm rattling my brain to figure out these puzzles, in a good way! Great fit to the theme!
@humphreysmedia thanks for the feedback :D
congratulations.png It took me a long time... I don't know what I did to win, but I did it. Nice game! Good job. :)
@guimoliveira thanks for playing it ^^
A little note I'd like to make...
I really don't think Phil Alone needs to be marked as 18+, according to companies such as the ESRB this could settle with a Teen rating. It's just a little suicide, it's not 18+ level.
Oh boy. Still stumped after trying just about everything.
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida , you have been given the "Trickiest Game" award for making a game that so seriously stumped me! Normally I can crack any puzzle/puzzle game, but Phil Alone brings a puzzle master like me to his knees. Well done, I'm going insane now.
@peace-of-cake-games dont worry, you find the true ending :D
Are you playing which version of the game?
I'm playing the HTML5 version. I assume that one is always up to date?
@peace-of-cake-games yes it is ^^
Heh heh, well, I'm certainly stumped... do you have any (minor) hints? I've explored every bookshelf, tried all sorts of do it/don't do it combinations, I've burned the closet, I've had naps and dreams, I've explored the windows...
Hardest puzzle game I've played... well done, you're fantastic at puzzle-narratives!
@peace-of-cake-games so, there are the tips that will help you achieve the true ending. They are at the house when the loop starts and before. I will give you a hint, if you take a nap, you will have a poem and there is the answer for something :D
Hmm, thanks, I'll have to take a look at the nap again!
"You completed the game in...1 days..."
Ah ha ha! Finally got it. I get the feeling there could easily be a bestselling Steam game of this if you add more mysteries and scenarios! (It stumped me for so long, that's a good sign! It's a nice brain exercise too, that really got me thinking and now I feel like an expert when it comes to getting stuck in your house with a murderer who trapped you in a time loop.)
@peace-of-cake-games Yes, I am trying to released on Steam and for free, but I am looking for donations to realize this dream!
1,00 dollar, 2,00 dollars, anything that can help me to released it on Steam I am happy! ^^
Yes, $100 is a steep hosting fee! Indie sites have free hosting typically... and Microsoft Store might be free if you sign up right...
(Sadly I don't have an account for Steam or anything. I wish you the best of luck!!)
(Another added parentheses note: interested in spreading the word about your Steam kickstarter? I've got just the thing.)
(Yet another. Here's a strategic marketing strategy: you can try to publish a full paid version on Itch.io or something and use this version like a demo, and with how good this is people will surely pay for the full version! The Itch.io funds can help support expansion to Steam, and places like Itch.io are still "big stores" like Steam and Microsoft Store.)

Hello everyone that played Phil Alone, I have some good news!
It's been a long time since I released the version 1.3 of Phil Alone and I think it's time I release this great horror puzzle game on Steam but for this to happen we need your help! As you guys know, we need 100,00 dollars to release it on Steam, so we decided to start a Support Us Campaing!
You can see more of the Support Us Campaing here!
https://gabrieldevbr.itch.io/phil-alone/devlog/313343/support-us-steam-version
