LD47 — Stuck in a loop

A.C.E. by awerar 2020-10-11T12:08:10Z

It took me a while to get the hang on the controls (reminds me of the camera controls of Unity or UE4), but eventually I was able to progress in the game. The glitchy blocks create great puzzles, the like of Braid now that I think about it. The cell shading robots are also very adorable. Great job!

Torus Tours by Jack Lance 2020-10-10T18:55:03Z

The level design of this game is insane! The puzzles can be difficult, but they're all mind bendingly great! The drawn aesthetics are also a great addition, so overall a very, very solid entry!

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-10T23:51:43Z

I just want to play a full fledged indie game with that concept, because it was so, so innovative, fun and clever! The graphics are amazing, the music is great and the movement of the ribbon is incredibly smooth. Considering it was a compo entry, I really am blown away by this entry. 5/5

Spinnerets by Jeremy Ryan 2020-10-08T13:33:02Z

The polish of this game is amazing, and it's even more admirable considering it was done by a one person team!

You really created what could be a full fledged indie title, GG!

Xenolasso by Carraka 2020-10-11T00:05:53Z

The theme is well used, the music and the graphics are really cool, and the general idea is fun, but the character is a bit slow and it makes some part of the game a bit frustrating to navigate. It's a solid entry tho, so great job!

Time Crash by Gonzalol 2020-10-10T23:45:38Z

A really fun entry, as (and even more) polished than many mobile games. The graphics and audio are great, et the gameplay is very responsive. I liked it a lot!

Loophole by Laurari 2020-10-11T12:28:27Z

Hehe, my years of training on Super Hexagon and Just Shapes and Beats weren't for nothing, I did 75! :D The simple yet very elegant aesthetic is great, the music is awesome, and if you deserve some praise if you created the font for the game. A great entry!

8BEATS by DangerBlack 2020-10-10T23:05:14Z

The audio of the game was outstanding! The idea is very original, and it was executed with mastery. A candidate to the top games of the jam!

Habits by M8rix 2020-10-10T13:41:54Z

I really like the graphics of the game! The flavor text was fun, and the loop is clearly here.

The only thing missing is a bit of sound design and music, even copyright free ones, but considering it was done by a one person team, it's already really good

Trajectory by KaisenTheGreatOne 2020-10-11T12:40:42Z

The game is really fun, and I like your take on the theme. The UI could be a bit more polished, and the view should always start on the farther view, with a button to zoom in, but t's still a good entry overall!

Hiccup Time by Somogy 2020-10-11T12:20:55Z

I really liked the core mechanic of the hiccups, it was both fun and creative, well done! As for the rest, the ingredients stealing was a bit frustrating when I had to go through all the levels when one potion was stolen, but overall a good entry!

3 Minutes by PeaNud 2020-10-08T23:07:31Z

The game in itself was pretty easy and straightforward, but the ending was a great surprise, and a lot of details and easter eggs were slipped into it, making it a fun, cozy experience :)

Caterpillar Dissent: Deliverance by Skleembof 2020-10-08T22:47:15Z

Considering you did the game all by yourself, it's really good, and the assets you made work perfectly!

... And I couldn't help but laugh when the anthem started plaaying. X)

Leave the yard by dyguests 2020-10-08T16:43:47Z

I... couldn't guess the point of the game? I won, but I didn't know why Graphics are very pretty though

Crystal Curse by LouieJams 2020-10-10T22:58:17Z

The pixel art is just gorgeous! The movement is really smooth, and the sound design is great too.

It can be a little frustrating when the right trap against an ennmy is all accross the level, but it's a really solid entry for a game jam!

The Endless 8 by Jvdwijk 2020-10-07T13:51:53Z

I like the Cluedo-like mystery game, and the theme is well used, with the decaying dialogues the more loops you're in. The chara design is fun and the pixel art sprites are well done, but the overall 3D aesthetic was a bit rough. good entry overall :)

Ghost Cubed by Patrick1 2020-10-07T14:04:43Z

The theme is well used to create this classic puzzle game. The concept and graphics are simple yet elegant, but the controls could be a little smoother.

Frozen Potency by Eugenik 2020-10-10T23:19:19Z

I liked the idea, but the screen walking was a bit of a stretch. The audio was great at the start, but just as the gameplay loop, it gets a bit repetitive over time

The graphics were great tho, and you managed the theme quite well

5 Minutes Before Halloween by Glaas 2020-10-07T13:18:54Z

Really like the idea, the different character sprites are great and the gameplay "loop" is fun (even with the sometimes clanky controls), very nice entry :D

Sinner's Hotel by ElllaDee 2020-10-10T11:15:55Z

I liked the pixel art graphics and the sound design, and the little detail that the character walks in sync with the clock sound made it even better.

The game was a bit too repetitive, especially if you give the wrong answer on the last choice, but the piano and the overall flavor text were well executed ideas!

Chronophobia by Valkija 2020-10-08T13:50:43Z

I really like the visuals and spooky mood of the game. As other said, it was difficult to tell wich object was interractable, but in the end the notes and books helped narrow down the possibilities. The theme was well integrated, so overall a really solid entrie!

While we are here - stuck in a loop by Seskon 2020-10-10T22:52:39Z

I like programming games, so that's just right my alley, and I have to say, this one is really fun! :D

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-10T11:32:27Z

The game was pretty and fun, and the music you chose were on point, but I think you fell in a very common trap for jammers: having multiple ideas and making a game with multiple different gameplay loops. A teacher in game design of mine once said that when making more than one gameplay loop, you increase the difficulty of making a polished game exponentially, because you'll have to polish every single loop individually.

Maybe try to focus on one idea and push it further, because I can see that you're very capable of producing a great and polished experience!

Escape this testground! by chakaramba 2020-10-08T16:55:38Z

I like the idea, a good twist on the "die and retry" formula, and the narrator is a really nice touch. The 6th level is a bit harsh tho, I couldn't beat it.

Looper - The Last Mission by Coding4rtist 2020-10-08T22:58:18Z

I really dig the pixel artstyle you have, the theme is very xell executed and the dialogs are a nice touch. You made what could be a full fledged indie title with more time and polish!

I'm stuck in a pool by TheBugger 2020-10-10T11:40:54Z

The game is a bit stressful, but not very scary, the movement is smooth, it's a nice experience

And okay, the pun is kinda fun

Frozen in Time by TwoHands 2020-10-08T16:39:34Z

I really dig the pixel art aesthetic, as well as the plateformer puzzling, so that was a hit for me :D Maybe you could rework the slippiness of the character a little, but other than that a very solid entry!
