great work team bugulon. you did it.
ahh bugulon you've done it again
I LOVE team bugulon
Another common bugulon W, right off the hype from the release of the highly anticipated lymphosite 2. The ride never stops around here
Wow this is incredible! The presentation is perfectly executed both in terms of graphics and audio. The character design is super cool and some of the graphics and audio reminds me of cave story. Good job on creating something super super polished in such a short amount of time!
I'm buigulons biggest fan!
You always make the coolest games, and this is no exception, I only played a little cuz I suck but it's pretty gun 11/10 if I could, wonderful job
Well polished game, controls, art, sound, everything fits well. Had a lot of fun playing it. Solid entry, good job.
 yeah u know it
Love this game to bits! The production quality is off the roof and to think that this in made in 72 hours!? The game has a surprising amount of depth given it's a shmup where I keep trying different strategy to beat the levels. It took me about one hour to complete the game. I don't have a lot of feedback other than the spring physics takes a bit to get use to (but even that is fun to play with). This is by far the best game I have played in the jam.
That game is so good looking. I've finish it but I took some damages :D.
I had to go to sleep but I couldn't stop playing before beating it. It's like the opposite of your game.
It also took me like one hour to finish it.
Good job ! Good night !
This game is awesome and looks beautiful. Nice job!
There are a lot of levels, such a high quality entry! Loved playing the game, but I'll have to play through the rest later on. Great art too!
WOW, what an entry! You guys just rocket. I love the mechanics, the music and the level design
Solid entry! Lot's of work went in to the game! Great work guys
This is a really cool concept!
wonderful concept executed very well, blows me away that this was created in only 72 hours
Great art, and super polished! Wow! I really liked the idea of needing to create the level to progress. Nice concept. Great work :)
More like Team Bugulong there is SO MUCH CONTENT. Love the sound design in particular!
Wow that's a lot of playtime for a jam game. I was surprised it kept going (in a good way).
Really interesting strategy to try to pick apart. I am assuming the safest way to play the game is to clear all the blocks before going into platforming mode. Since it's LD though, I tried to be as quick and efficient as I could be, foregoing a lot of the combat blocks.
I thought this was a fun tradeoff to try to juggle. You get less real estate to play with, but a lot of time gained from not having to fight as many things in shmup-mode. I could see this leading to a lot of replayability as the player experimented more what what types of platformers they liked to use on various stages. Of course, once things got hard things changed where it was more a puzzle and you were trying to find a good setup for you to complete it.
The forced mode switching is a neat mechanic in general that I don't see very often. It makes you think about the stage in 2-dimensions. That is, as you are filling the blocks you are consciously thinking about how the platforming section is gonna go once it's complete. This adds to some mental depth to the game.
This was a hectic game that was worth the play, great job on the execution! Also, gratz on sustaining such a large dev team. Must've taken a good amount of practice to get there :)
The game looks very cool, congratulations!
another baller bugulon entry
Such a beautiful game! Every detail was so artistic and pleasing to look at. I would call this game delightful in every way!
Outstanding!
Really great game! Maybe bit too difficult for me, but still fun to play
Well this game is just awesomely polished. Some could say its even to much for a game jam :D But I've seen that you were an giant team of participants.
I didn't quite like the gameplay, but thats just personal preference. The sound, art and everything else was just close to perfect :D
Wow, it's incredible how even with 7 artists, the style looks uniform. Seriously great work all around. The gameplay is unique, the challenge is fun, and the sound design is top notch as well. Also the background look super charming, the "scanline effect" on the red circle is gnarly, and all around this game feels good. Definitely one of the best this jam. Stellar work.
Wow nice graphic! It's tough game but I can manage. I love the options given in each level allowing players to choose how to start the level, after wings are gone.
Very impressive for a jam game. The strategy component to building the level before losing your wings was a good twist.
Love the art. Really wish I could play with a game pad (only because I suck at platformers with keyboard).
@0x746564 The game should work with an xinput gamepad in slot 0 if you have one connected.
@saturnyoshi Well, don't I look silly. Guess I should have actually tried it...plays much better for me with the gamepad! Also, forgot to mention this the first time around but I appreciated that the hearts weren't picked up if you had full health already.
Without a doubt the best game I've played so far in the jam. It goes without saying that the graphics, sound design, music, UI, etc. are all polished beyond belief for something made in 72 hours. Moreover, this is perhaps the most innovative yet fitting take on the theme I've seen yet! AMAZING job :D
* for whatever reason LD decided to duplicate my comment
Definitely a contender for the best game this jam. The only little thing I wished for is a button that would allow you to proceed to fighting part of the game, especially in the early levels where you don't have the biggest incentive to utilize all the platforms. It would've been for speedrunning as well. Nothing else to add that the other people haven't said. This is incredible.
Wow.. I would have to write A LOT if I wanted to let you know how good this game is. Hope to see a full game from you guys sometime!
Very polished game with a surprising (or I guess unsurprising, considering you had two dedicated level designers) amount of content and a bunch of polish. I do find the way aiming works to be rather annoying though, as the character doesn't instantly turn in the direction of movement even when not shooting.
Woah!!! This was really awesomely executed and the polish was amazing. I expected to only played a few levels but I ended up getting hooked xD Screenshot 2022-04-11 182245.png Can I say I dislike something about this game? Nope... Will I be able to finish it without taking damage? Well that's a question to be answered later :)
wow, super polished, pretty great pixel art, good music. Kind of interesting mechanic with the flying/platform parts. Found it surpisingly challenging, didn't manage to get past the 3rd stage even. Would have loved controller support, who doesn't want to play arcade style games with a controller? Great entry.
This is one of the better games of this jam so far!
I haven't heard of Team Bugulon until this jam, so I was blown away by the meticulous care and detail of the gameplay, the graphics, the audio (especially the audio and pixel art), the level design, and the UI and structure of *Somnokid*, especially within 72 hours, which is quite the feat! This game I wouldn't hesitate to replay again if I had the time, but I ended up stopping at the second level.
From what I just played, the tutorial levels were well-planned, and started off simple. That is, until the player character lost their ability to fly and the ghosts came out! This part was quite tricky, but the challenging parts, I can say, was one of the aspects that made the game shine!
As for how the theme fit into the game, the flying mechanic was the feature that one had to keep before the inevitable, the ghosts, entered. No critiques, or nitpicks, I have for this entry for now, but it is a gem!
Congratulations to the team for another brilliant entry!
Very polished game! The concept is interesting. I would have like to be able to shoot in different directions because the enemies were always coming in an angle where I could not shoot. Good work!
Super well made game. The art (visuals and audio) is just perfect, charming and fun. The gameplay has a very well balanced difficulty and a super polished controls that makes this game a little gem.
Good job and congratulations, one of the best entries I played so far.
Impressive! The visuals and audio are top notch, with a lot of juicy feed-backs and animations. The game system is also surprising and quite clever. I had a hard time with the aiming though, it never felt really intuitive, especially with the lock. Maybe it could benefit from a mouse aiming? Also the first enemies gave me a lot of troubles in the tutorial, while later ones seemed more manageable. But once I got my hands with the controls, it was a great mix of puzzle and fighting! And having so much type of enemies and mechanics is great! I like that the level are short, it rewards risks and experimentation, without blocking on a wall. Congratulation for such an excellent game!
Very cute game which reminded me of the original Kirby game. I like the art style. It is a well built game.
Incredibly well polished game! Loved the aesthetic and had solid game feel
Amazingly polished and quite fun! The art and audio are out of this world. The game is overflowing with juiciness. There's so much content too! Overall, I felt the game was pretty challenging for me, something about the jumping/wall stickiness gave me some difficulty.
